I've been promoting this band to everyone I know. I haven't met one person so far who hasn't loved it. One of the best lyrical compositions I have ever seen in metal. This is coming from someone who worked at a metal venue for a -long- time.
thanks for making this. this album has to be the best metal album of the year. no one can top this, its so structured and heavy yet beautiful and mysterious. i cant believe the music thats out there anymore, who knows what else i still havent accidently run into on here
None of ua are Christian, however I (Gareth, the vocalist) am heavily into my spirituality and the mythologies presented by all the world's religions, so bits of vaguely Christian imagery found their way into this track.
You have no idea how much I love this song, especially the clean singing. Like I keep replaying it every time. It's not the lyrics, it's just the way he fucking sings it. I love it and I wish there was more clean singing in this song.
quickly became one of my favorite bands. i never get tired of this epic piece! i like how their clean vocals actually sound like good singing, and not that whiney shit you hear when bands try to mix in cleans.
I may may have stumbled across my new favorite band. Amazing lyrics, amazing vocals, amazing instrumantals! why can't more bands be like this, and not so lazy?
Because people don't like metal and songs with lyrics that get you thinking. We quite frankly live in a world where being a mindless drone is the easiest way to get through, and the heavier a thinker, the harder their life ends up being for some reason.
@EJovan1998 I am. But organised religion has mostly perverted and destroyed what its all about. Theres nothing wrong with religiousness in and of itself, its the way people abuse it thats the problem.
thing is they arent slice the cake anymore they have changed the name ( ive forgotten what it was) but there is a lost ep and album no one has yet to hear that was released in 2013 and 2014 it is now my life goal to find these albums
The shimmering tides of revelation wash over me, bearing witness to the void that lies within. I am but a transient being, a fleeting glimpse of in-corporeality beyond the veil. In the eyes of light I am transfixed, as my soul is purged of all its bile and I am bathed in the source of magnanimity. Yet, despite the fleeting nature of my existence, I am tormented by restless thoughts and fragmented dreamscapes that assault my reality. I am plagued by the question of whether this is a punishment for past transgressions or simply a test of my will to continue against all logic. The veil between reality and illusion blurs, and I am left wondering if this is a dream or if it is real. Is there more beyond the veil? Is there an answer that can ease my burden, or is this simply a game with rules that are not revealed until it takes its dying breath? In this uncertainty, I seek solace in the possibility of a greater truth, of a guiding force that can be trusted and loved. But alas, my ears hear no music and my eyes see no shapes, leaving me with only an amorphous mass of subjectivity. As I sink further into the ever-present plain of dreams, I am consumed by a sense of exhaustion and weakness. My vessel longs for rest, for the oblivion of sleep. But even in sleep, I am haunted by the ghosts of my past incarnations, stretching through both time and space in an endless spiral. Who have I been? Who have I known? And where does this spiral end? As I melt away into the sea of faces, I am left to ponder the nature of existence and the purpose of my being. Am I simply a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things, or is there something more to be gained from this journey? Perhaps, as I traverse the immaterial realm of thought, I will find the answers I seek. Or perhaps, like the ouroboros, I will simply continue to consume myself in an eternal cycle of rebirth and death. But until then, I will dance amongst the flames, seeking resolution in their heat as I partake in this collective hallucination. A thousand realms of thought await me, with nothing left but time to fully realize my visions and immortalize them with pen and paper. As I etch my resonances into the pages of history, I am left to wonder what new journeys lie in store for me in the wings
I'm Christian and I have never understood the claim that Metal has to be Satanic. Brutal, yes, dark, yes, but life is often dark. Black Sabbath, seen as the start of metal, began singing about the dark and depressing things that surrounded them. But anti-religious? I'm not promoting religion, but there are several brutal subjects to talk about without actively bashing someone else's beliefs. Even Impending Doom, In The Midst Of Lions, Texas in July, leave their lyrics fairly neutral... Tolerance
To clarify I think it is fine, and Christians listen to metal. I understand Atheists being offended by in your face Christian lyrics condemning them to hell, but nobody ever seems to see both sides. Most of my favorite bands write songs about religion indifferent subjects. Let's face it Bitches cheating on you and lying to your face, that's fucking brutal...

I'm pretty sure this song has nothing to do with Christianity. It's awesome
Zach Richards 'for in the name of god, they sing their praise - but still I cannot feel his presence'
guess it's kinda neutral..
+Zach Richards 8:40
it deals with esoteric and occult beliefs
