42 million vistors to atlanta each year via the atlanta convention bureau. The federal 6th Atlanta federal reserve bank is located in Midtown , the U. S.'s 4th largest convention center (the georgia world congress center), mercedes-benz stadium( super bowl games, college football championship games, college football SEC football championship games), all of the tallest/biggest hotels, the head of state of Georgia (the Georgia Capital) all are located in downtown of atlanta. Iwould say downtown Atlanta is the most important of the 3 skylines 🏙 in Atlanta. I graduated and lived in Atlanta for 30 years.
They each have their positives. I like downtown for the attractions (World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, and Centennial Olympic Park) I like Midtown for the rapid highrise and skyscraper construction, usually towering with cranes of new construction. I like Buckhead for the sleekness of many of its buildings, as well as its nice houses. Overall, however, I'd give it slightly to Midtown.
Thank you JC FLYING. Really appreciate your detailed comments. So I would say that you feel that the downtown and midtown feel the same and is the best section of Atlanta
I have been to Atlanta once and it was twenty years ago. What is fascinating is that Atlanta is far less populated than Phoenix, yet it has so many more skyscrapers. Quite a beautiful skyline regardless of which district is being showcased.
Phoenix's city limits are larger. Phoenix is 519.28 square miles, whereas Atlanta is 136.31 square miles. Phoenix has about four times the land area within the city limits. Atlanta would have a population of two million with that amount of miles, which would be larger than Phoenix. The Atlanta region is larger in both population and also in urbanized area (developed/built up area in city and suburbs) by square miles. Metropolitan area populations (2021) Atlanta: 6,144,050 Phoenix: 4,946,145 Urbanized Area (Developed Land) by square miles: Atlanta urbanized area: 2,857 square miles Phoenix urbanized area: 1,250 square miles Hence, it shouldn't be hard to understand why Atlanta has a larger skyline. The City of Phoenix has close to half of its developed land mass in the city limits, whereas Atlanta's city limits land mass is only about five percent of its urbanized area land mass.
Thank you The Zellos. Always appreciate your comments. The way that some of the city limits are drawn up can really mess with your mind when you look at population. It seems that the city of Atlanta has mainly large buildings but the residential units are outside the city limits? But I agree - the skyline is impressive.
Good job on the video, by the way. I can tell that you put a lot of time and effort into it, and I appreciate the work you've done. It really showcases the area well.
Thank you Sir Nice. I really appreciate your detailed comments. Seems like I need to put together another video more detailed with more than just 3 districts. Again - I appreciate the information. Love this type of feedback- it helps to make better videos for the future
All 3 districts are great. Midtown is the most popular district with rapid ongoing development and the most densely populated. Downtown has many of Atlanta's famous attractions, but its best quality is that it has all the historical buildings, which gives it a cool new york vibe, but it lacks residential density, so it's not as active as Midtown. Buckhead is all about luxury shopping and dining, and the buildings are much more sleek and streamlined to appear more glassy and uniform, but the business district of Buckhead is much smaller compared to Downtown and Midtown. When it comes to urban living, Midtown will provide you the best, most comprehensive city experience. I think once all the Downtown investments pay off in the future, it'll gain more recognition as a major hub in the city for more than just business. Downtown, despite being the least popular of the 3 business districts, has the most charm due to its architecture
Thank you Cameron Johnson. I really appreciate the detailed comments on each district. That is very valuable information especially to some who are wanting to move to Atlanta. Again - appreciate the comments
Magnificent video and drone footage of the 3 districts. I live near Cobb County and don't go to any of those districts unless I absolutely have to. I guess I would say Buckhead is the best.
Thank you Scotty T Drone. Really appreciate your nice comments. Always good to get comments from others that live close in the area. Thanks again for your comments
Thank you B. I appreciate your comments & for watching. Isn't that crazy... Atlanta is growing so fast that footage older than 12 months looks outdated. Some of the footage is more than a year old. Would love to go back soon and fly sections of Atlanta again. Hope you enjoyed the video

I know Sandy Springs and The Cobb Galleria/The Battery are their own cities, but they're so close they could even be added to this list.
I was under the impression that Atlanta had 7 or 8 business districts with high rises
Houston got six
They each have their positives.

Great flight. Down town Mid-Town there's really no difference. Now Buckhead, there's no comparison to the other 2 really.

Phoenix is gross.

Thanks Will P. I really appreciate your kind words & comments. Makes me feel well to get those comments from someone that knows Atlanta well.
You left out Sandy Springs, Cumberland, Alpharetta….and you failed to show Atlantic Station or the West Side.

It doesn't get better than Midtown in the ATL. Downtown for the attractions, Buckhead on the weekends.
I will say this vid is way outdated... This looks to be well over a year old.
