- NEW. With the BBC deciding not to make any more programmes in 3D (www.bbc.co.uk/n..., lets take the TARDIS back 20 years ago to Tomorrow's World and here's presenter Kate Bellingham discussing the 'Pulfrich effect' and going behind the scenes of a special Children in Need Doctor Who: Dimensions in Time which was also broadcast in 3D as part of the BBC's 3D Week.
I do also have the Doctor Who episode but it's on RUclips by others already and to be honest, there's a lack of public appetite for it....!
Thanks to whoever captured this originally.

Always wondered how they did this.. great to see this again.
How to make a terrible Doctor Who special:
1. Make an awesome script about the Fourth Doctor trying to fix his timeline after someone messed with the events of Logopolis
2. Don't adapt it.
3. Don't write another script.
4. Adapt it.
5. Get EastEnders involved.
I remember setting this to record. :D Still got the glasses somewhere, too :p
I miss Tomorrows World !
Tomorrows World was such a great programme, too good to remain on todays trash TV agenda.
I wish I could find these glasses and a viable copy of this show - how good (or not so) was this if it didn't catch on?
You don't need those glasses... You just need a pair of old/cheap sunglasses. Poke the left eye out and congratulations, you've got functional 3D. Of course, you also need something filmed for it.
It wasn't very good at all. You saw depth between objects like they explain in the video but there was no depth in the objects themselves. It was like watching a 2d image pass in front of another 2d image with the only depth being between the images.
David Tennant wore 3D glasses in Army of Ghosts/Doomsday
And yet "Dimensions in Time" is the better story! 😳
@@ShamrockParticle I don’t think many people would agree with you, outside of those who just despise all New Who on principle
Tomorrow's world using technology from the 1950's lol
