As a duel links player it makes me so happy to see Luke Tyler doing well in the tcg, he started playing with duel links and he's been a great top player for many years, props to him for his regional wins
Kashtiratheosis also went from being a 6-7 to a staggering 16-19$ a piece. It's not a whole lot, but considering you need 3 copies definitely doesn't make Kash a budget deck since you'd still be paying 48 to 56 for a set.
Kash being this free in general is wild. People keep bringing up Ariseheart as the broken card and it is, but it was never the sole strong card in the deck. You can carry hard with just the main deck on its own. Which is probably why OCG/MD prefer hitting the actual maindeck instead of Ariseheart
It's a good card for the game. Game needs maindeckable nonengine that aren't just handtraps. Fenrir won't even be playable post-PHNI. Also this kash deck is fine, midrange deck that takes a 2 card combo to set up heatsoul i:p fenrir lol. But we can talk about shifter lol.
@@mrharvy100 its what if been saying forever. ariseheart wouldnt be as silly as it is if kash main deck didnt have such a piss easy time making it and if there wasnt 3 prosp to just help make/protect it.
Not really. It’s a splash in other decks sure, but it doesn’t do anything unfair. It’s not a negate or anything like that, it just gets rid of material on field. Pank is infinitely better as a board breaker too. The best thing about Fenrir is just that it’s a free body that replaces itself and sometimes people automatically concede on MD because they think you’re actually playing Kashtira. From a MD perspective, Kashtira is completely unplayable. 1 Fenrir, 1 Birth, and 1 Wraitsoth is beyond excessive for hits. The deck was already down bad playing Planet Pathfinder as a legit normal summon
Man. Its an archetype designed to make the world they visit uninhabitable. A planet conquering race. With taking apexs from each world they conquer and making it their own. Cool ass archetype. Kinda pricey butu already have 2 fenrir. Now i want the third lol
Really interesting take on the meta. Play low to the ground with good follow-up and non-engine to back it up. Kind of remind me of the old days with some grindy decks such as dragon ruler that aims to out resource the opponent
It’s so cool. These most recent banlists have brought the power level of the game down enough to where boards like this are acceptable and even tier 2, tier 3, and sometimes even rogue decks like my Dino deck can confidently stand up to some of the top decks. Maybe I won’t always win, certainly won’t go 16-0 but I can do really well
What I’m taking from return of unicorn more often is if you only play 1 key extra deck monster and your extra deck is tight, you need to at least have one more in your side deck
Riseheart is expensive cos ppl are playing it as part of a package with 2 or 3 fenrir, since it allows u to have a fire in hand, and a way to make an easy rank 4 XYZ if u already have a 4
as i dont play competitive tcg i will only comment on talents in MD, i was playing them around a month ago, 2 in my main deck, and i foud myself often either wanting it was another card because it was unplayable or it felt underwhelming for anything other than stealing problematic monsters from the opp in VS... decided to swap it out, i think i put in a second copy of snow devil and the second durendal and did not regret it for a second
It's budget if you already have fenrirs and certain extra deck cards. The only money cards are planet and theosis, and I guess riseheart. But even that isn't like a ton. Planet went way down with the reprint announcement. Don't get me wrong the deck is still not what budget players consider budget but it's like maybe half the price of PHNI fire kings
Kinda upset about this since pieces are spiking again, I've been playing kash on FB ladder with around a 40-27 W/O rate and was waiting to buy the deck. Sadge
I mean, the field will be reprinted, and that's already a start. Fenrirs are always useful, so it isn't a purchase limited on Kashtira, you don't play expensive non engine. Deck still hella pricey but I hope you can still make it 💪🏻
When budget deck has a feild spell that £50 on ebay and 3 £25 fenrirs and 6 other cards that are £15 for the core engine, tells you that something is deadly wrong with the game
@@Corey91666 well of course, any assortment of 40 cards is a deck, but are they competitive options? The point im making here is josh saying oh this is more of a budget option for the meta is the problem 🤣

@@phillymccheesy4587 A combo deck can end on a lot of removal, while a midrange deck can end on 1-2 negates. Unchained ends on 2 summon negates with Caesar, but I doubt anyone would call that combo. In my opinion, if a deck wants to end on a decent amount of interruptions while also having a decent grind game, it's midrange.
