Glad it was helpful!
Best video on RUclips about adding coolant for MBZ vehicles
This guy is amazing! The video you need
Thank you for your video. Why do we have to use Mercedes Benz antifreeze and we cannot use another brand?
There are different coolant on market, and some are not compatible with Mercedes. Hence, it is better to use what manufacturer recommend unless you find aftermarket which approved by Mercedes
Can I buy coolant that is ready to use ? No mixing requirements? Thank you , very helpful video
Yes, as long as it's approved to use in your vehicle
Clear and concise. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the video. One question though: shouldn't you turn the engine on before adding coolant?
No, just follow exact steps in video.
Does it have to be antifreeze by Mercedes’
I am a new owner for merc and i can see there is a lot to learn .
Congratulation! I have everything you need to maintain your benz here, and more videos will come: ruclips.net/p/PLLoEAO8f1zNwqR2KEyXCjGCkuOrxGGNfL
I cam from a Lexus to a c63amg and I never had any coolant warning on my lexus. Is there a leak for the coolant level on the Mercedes Benz to be going down often? Or is it common with Mercedes?
No leaks, just going down in a while... I don't have explanation
Should have waaay more likes
Thank you
This video i just watched i was able helped a nice lady I met and her son.
Awesome!, Glad it was helpful
First of all, thank you very much for the video.
My S560 is giving me the "Check Coolant Level" for about a week but I hardly ever drive the car (on an average, just 2-3 KM a day). My yearly service is due after a couple of days. May I ask what do you suggest? Can I wait for another couple of days for the service technician to refill the coolant or you recommend I should do it myself right away? Your suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks!
It depends on the level, If it is just below mark and you still have some - you can wait for service, so you don't have to buy 4L of it. If it is too low - I would not risk and add myself.
@@NewRoad Thank you sir! 🙏🏻
Hello there Sir, do u know if I never change gearbox oil change w205 at 114000km am almost at 150000km, will I get a warning light or must it be done as per mechanic... Please enlighten me😊
Here is full maintenance schedule for w205: ruclips.net/video/vHhqcs2SJKQ/видео.html
Best video on how to. Thanks
Adding coolant now also ha
Glad it helped! Sub for more
What is the cap with the snowflake? The two coolant areas don’t have it and it isn’t the washer fluid so what is it?
I can’t find where I put in power steering fluid can you please help
No need - it's electrical
@@NewRoad so what do I do if my steering wheel is starting to squeak hard and move slow?
I have a Mercedes w205 C200, I added G12+ pink coolant, the level is ok, but I still have check engine light, it's been a few days
You check engine might be due to other problem. You need this tool to find the problem: ruclips.net/video/tbWh6AulLbI/видео.html
Easy to follow, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
so the antifreeze is the coolant without the distilled water?
Is it safe if i added to those merc official coolant to reservoir tank without mix it with distilled water ?
What is the second smaller coolant tank at the top middle of the engine bay for?
its for the turbo
Do you need to drain the old coolant or can you simply just add the new coolant?
If it is not required by maintenance schedule - you just need to add. Here is the maintenance schedule - ruclips.net/video/vHhqcs2SJKQ/видео.html
@@NewRoad thank you
My C300 has two coolant reservoirs what’s the other one for ?
Hey i can’t get that exact coolant for my car is there any other kinds that works and won’t mess my car up?!
You can check approved fluids for your vehicle here: operatingfluids.mercedes-benz.com/category/coolant/en
The cap on my 2014 CLA250 won't unscrew. It turns 1/4 of a turn and then it's hitting a stop. Not sure how to take the cap off. I tried pinching with a flat screw driver but not luck. Any suggestions?
Just press a bit down and try to apply more pressure when turning slowly. My was very hard to undo first time.
@@NewRoad I tried it. I ended up using cutting that little piece with a small saw so the cap will come off. Ordered the new cap for back up. Thanks anyways!
Question I have a 2016 E350 does the color of the coolant matter? Because some people are saying it should be blue but I’m confused at this point
Yes, it does. I would check your owner's manual for your coolant spec
@@NewRoad ok thanks I’d really appreciate it tbh
Nah the color doesn't matter it's only the MB specification that you should look at. bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/310.1_en.html
bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/325.0_en.html
When will you upload an video about servicing the 9G tronik gearbox with oil and filter? It will be interesting for a lot of people and you will get more views.
It is in plan, when I'll be changing in my C300 - I'll make a video for sure
Amazingly simple vid. Thank you
How long or interval we shud change the coolant?
I didn't find specific interval recommendation from Mercedes-Benz, but from my research and experience I would change every 100,000km (60,000m)
Very clear and helpful, thanks a lot
Happy to hear when my vids help people, thank for feedback
Short and concise!
Would the Mercedes antifreeze work on a BMW 325i I have 2 gallons & was wondering about this?
I don't think so, I would recommend to get MB for your specific vehicle
@@NewRoad thank you 👍🏼
I've bought mercedes original coolant in a small bottle 1.5 L and its colour is Blue, is there any diffefence to the Pink one you used?
I've got mine from Mercedes dealer in Canada. Did you get from dealership?
I've got it from a local Mercedes-Benz Part dealer, as it turns out its a different type with number 325.0 for vehicle produced up to April 2014. The W205 uses newer 325.6 which is colored pink which as HOAT based coolant. Got the product returned as mixing it together can cause gel to form in the system.
Thank you for comments, good info for everyone to know!
The Blue Mercedes-Benz coolant is known as G-48. The same coolant that BMW and Volvo used until 2019. The G-48 is HOAT but it has a shorter lifespan than the Mercedes Benz G-40 coolant which is Pink/violet. G-40 coolant was also used by VW group brands known as G12++.
I have a bottle of Zerex G40 it states that it's MB,VW approved for use in these vehicles.
thanks for the video! just topped mine off today after watching this. However, any idea for topping up the intercooler/turbo coolant reservoir? I understand it uses the same coolant type but unsure of the exact amount needed (level marker?). There is no info for it in the manuals...
Yes, I was asking the same question!?!?
The intercooler reservoir has a label with word MAX and a downward pointing arrow under it to the level. Should be engraved in front of reservoir
Once you top up, should you start the engine? Or makes no difference.
You don't have, no difference
Thanks.
Do u know where the power steering fluid goes?
What model do you have? W205?
do you need to remove the old coolant
No, this is just regular check and top-up that you need to do to make sure it is not low
I over filled it. Should i be concerned? Thanks
If it's little bit no problem - but get yourself a turkey buster for couple buck and correct the level
Could a low level of antifreeze cause my turbo to jam and the car to have no power, because ten days ago I bought a Mercedes E200d and there was almost no antifreeze and it jammed 2-3 times the first day after I poured about 700 ml. and she got better, she hasn't done that for three weeks now!?
Ofcourse..coolant flows through all the engine parts..
i filled my coolant last year 1 litre and nw i have to fill it up again 2 litre and the rest i put in water. do you think it is leaking from somewhere......
It might
How do you know if your engine coolant is premixed?
Information about coolant for your model can be found in the Mercedes-Benz specifications for service products here: bevo.mercedes-benz.com/ , or contact your local dealer. Mercedes suggest to always use a suitable coolant mixture, even in countries where high temperature prevail
NewRoad Adventures got it! Thank you. I found it!!
The coolant he has in the video is unmixed. It will say “undiluted” if it’s not mixed. It’ll say “50/50 pink” if it’s mixed for Mercedes w205
Great video but the manual says also to double tap the start button before opening the cap is this true .
Always follow your manual!
Thank you very much. The video was very help full.
needs also to check whether There is any leaking ?
What about the intercooler fluid level?
Can you just pour it without the distilled water 💦???

Can you put a link to the Mercedes approved coolant
I bought mine from local mercedes dealer. But you can also get from fcp euro for cheaper: www.fcpeuro.com/

Awesome video
Thank you!
How big is the coolant tank ?
To be honest I am not sure. I will find out when will be changing coolant sometime in the future
thank you for video, very helpful. spasibo
Glad it was helpful!
Is it normal that the coolant level drop down with time ? In mercedes
Yes, it goes down a bit over few months depending on your driving and environment
Thank you very much for making this video
what was that sound when you started the car?
I didn't hear any difference
CAN I ADD WHITE VINEGAR DOES IT HAVE TO BE DISTILLED??
Better to be distilled
thanks bro
while it's nice to just top off 1 cup... now may be a good time to REPLACE OLD COOLANT.
Simply open radiator bottom tap then refill with fresh fluid... 15mn job.
😊
Please do a video on P0017 code!
Does it apply for a gla too
Yes, it should
brilliant video mate thank you
Thank you
Why is liquid becoming low level on mercedes?? Is it normal??
It is for some reason, I have to top up every 6-9 months
What can be reasons?? Is it normal??
I'm not sure to be honest why, but heard from many owners that they do the same
You mean there is no problem??
It looks like it just thing in W205
Thank you 😁
Welcome 😊
What are symptoms of intercooler pump failure?
Your MB most likely will shutdown and throw the error code. You might be able to start it again when it cools off - but the problem will repeat. Also, car response might be weird since sensors will be sending conflicting data
NewRoad Adventures even for the 2017’s?
Thank you!
un grand merci
Whats the difference between 325.5 and 325.0 anitfreeze

Thank you.
You're welcome!
Had to come here this sucker has 2 overflows all my Japanese only had 1 so I was confused
You initially said USE distilled water, and LATER you said you RECOMMEND using distilled water.
I don't know that MB is any different than Mopars, GMs or any other manufacturer for that matter...am I right?
I've never heard that before...
So, just what does DISTILLED water do that tap water can't or won't do? Explain it a bit further if you would. TIA
Tap water and purified water have minerals in them to enhance taste. These minerals can be damaging to your engine. Distilled water is free of any minerals or electrolytes. That’s why it is recommended for not only cars but other machines like Keurig coffee makers
@@xRoyalSmoke I highly doubt that ANY automotive shop goes to the trouble, OR spends the $$$ to use distilled water.
@@Kman. well as someone that works in automotive I can tell you that’s incorrect lol
@@Kman. if you like driving Mercedes I suggest using more than your assumptions to take care of it lol
@@Kman. also not sure what “trouble” or “$$$” your talking about? You can buy it basically anywhere and it costs just the same as regular water
low key asmr
Never thought that it can go as asmr vid. but hey - if it works as one, it's all good 😊
ASMR and valuable information all in one!
