I'm a Canadian man living in Montreal, very far from you, I love your videos. The biggest reason I started looking at your videos was because of Tan. My cat died around the time you adopted Tan. I had my cat Kymy for 19 years. He was my baby. He was an orange cat who had been declawed and fixed very young, when I found him in my flowers beds, he was around 4 months old, which was odd because usually male cats are not neutered before 6 months and not declaws on his 4 paws either before that, which is totally outlaws here to declaws your cat. But Kymy was and he was never allowed outside after that faithfull day I found him in my flowerbeds. His biggest fun was our daily ritual, 15 to 20 minutes brushing his long fur, Kymy telling me his day, then me making my coffee, and while it was brewing, he knew I would prepare his food and water. he would meow, rubbing against me telling me he was happy. One day while trying to come with me to my office downstairs, he fell down; it was horrible. He was paralyzed. I was crying, and he was trying to get back up, but his back was badly damaged. I took him to the Vet but they could not do anything due to his age. I have cried so much when losing him. I held him when they made him go peacefully, but it was very hard for both of us. I can not and do not want another cat since then, I have so many beautiful memories about Kymy. Kymy had very long fluffy fur. He was extremely looked after.
Strangely we share the same story! I too had an orange cat whom my daughter found in the neighbourhood and brought home. We named him Pickles! He lived with us for 16 memorable years! Miss him always!

It's allergies Tan is suffering. Did you change something in the new house like disinfecting sprays or food? If not, general itchiness can be psychosomatic, usually occurring with severe emotional reactions or during times of change in the cat's living environment.
Stress is a huge factor, but sometimes cats will act like that when they are a bit constipated 😮 It helps to give them a massage ..Stand him up and run your hands along his body..from front paws to the back.. Cats jump a lot so they intestines move forward..giving them a massage helps keep everything in the right place ❤😊
Regarding Tan's aggressive grooming: He could be feeling anxious which can cause odd behaviors. It looked to me like he was either itchy or maybe his legs felt odd (like when your foot goes to sleep if you sit on it too long). But there is a neurological condition where the cat feels like hes being attacked by his own tail. If the aggressive behavior gets worse, or Tan starts growling at his own tail, do take him to the vet.

I think something was bothering Tan temporarily. Like an itch he just couldn’t reach in a sensitive spot. As long as he is using the litter box okay and doesn’t keep grooming himself like that, I wouldn’t worry. (I am a veterinarian, but without actually examining him, I don’t know for sure.)
Yes, Tan’s stress or nervous. That’s why he’s grooming excessively. It happened to one of my cats as well.. at some point she lost some of her fur due to excessive grooming.. please pay attention and distract Tan with his toys, smells.. or comfort food to calm him.
Because leather can get cold temperature very easily, no surprise Milky chose that place if he gets too hot at night. The bread and cake could be due to the smell of butter and milk in, possibly the meat filling used in the crossiant that perk your Milky and GB interest. 😂 You may need to keep your bread or other food items out of your furkids sight😂😂 My cats like prawn very much, I have make sure they don't do same like GB and Milky did😂😂
Exactly... When you have pets... Decent households became 2nd priority or you need to hugely change your pets behavior which is generally uneasy.. especially... FOOD TEMPTATION 😋.. Much worry they swallow the plastic bags together😢
I think Tan is fine, some cats like to erase their scent or change it when they get to new places. To do that calls for very aggressive grooming, you can try giving him a bath to help it along faster. If he starts doing it a lot to where he has missing fur, I would hurry to the vet. Allergies are a big hurdle when around a bunch of new things. With him rolling about, I think he is trying to spread his smell around, and a good groom gets those glands quite active!
The leather is probably cool and he likes that. He’s so adorable. A lot of cats do that. I think it’s the wrapping they are most interested in but some like the bread. Lol it’s funny that milky was bad 😂 usually it is just GB. 😂

Tan's behavior is normal after a move. He's showing a bit of anxious behavior and it will pass. He may have seemed fine at the beginning, but every cat is different and has a different coping mechanism. He'll adjust in time, but keep an eye that he doesn't start biting himself aggressively. Again, he'll be fine, just keep giving him all the love you've always given him. Love all three of the brothers, they're gorgeous.
My sister’s cat aggressively groomed, which included biting/gnawing, until there were bald patches all over and red scabs. If it’s not skin irritation/allergies, it’s either pain or stress/boredom, and grooming helps alleviate the symptoms. Most likely for Tan, it was the big move and family gathering.
우리도 이사하고 큰아이가 과한 그루밍을 하더니 급기야 꼬리털을 다 뽑아서 ㅜㅜ 1년정도 안정제처방 받아서 치료도 했는데 이사하고 3년이 지난 지금도 여전히 과한그루밍을 합니다... 그래도 막 그루밍이 심해진다 싶으면 못하게 장난감으로 관심을 돌리기도 합니다. 꼬리는 도저히 어쩔수 없어서 항상 꼬리털만 밀어주고 있어요. 계속적인 관심과 치료가 필요해진거죠. 탄이도 더 심해지기 전에 빠른 치료 권해드려요~❤
My cat Tinker has allergy but we haven't found what the cause is. Tinker does excesses cleaning of his fur. Perhaps something in the new environment is causing Tan's extra cleaning.

스트레스로 인한 오버그루밍같아요 고양이들은 속으로 감추는 경향이 있어서 반응이 늦게 나타나요 ㅠㅠ 심하면 자기털을 뜯고 뜯겨나간 피부가 심해지니 병원 내원하셔서 의사쌤께 보여드리고 미리 약처방 받길 바래요 저희집 아이도 워낙 예민해서 저렇게 오버그루밍 하면서 피부가 상처가 생겼어요 빠른대처가 탄이의 건강에 도움되길 바래요
We don't have cats, only our 11-yr old retriever... but maybe tan is stressed out ? With the new surroundings, plus the visitors... many unfamiliar things happening at the same time.... just a thought.😮
aaahh, they're so cute hahaha. what i'm thinking about Tan is, Tan seems to be in the process of adapting and adjusting to his new environment. As I've read, cats heavily rely on their sense of smell, and being territorial creatures, they can get stressed in unfamiliar settings. With numerous guests frequenting the house, each bringing distinct scents and possibly interacting with Tan, he might be experiencing a bit of stress. His grooming behavior could be a way for him to alleviate stress and "brush off" unfamiliar scents
Stress can cause aggressive grooming on cats too. My cat develop this behaviour when he was 1 year old. He keep licking his body until he lost a lot fur and had bald spot and sores. First i thought that he had allergies reaction or other problem but i went to vet and they said it is cause by stress. It's kinda worse for me, and i did many things to reduce his stress and he slowly recover but whenever he get stress again he will do the same thing. So i have to be very careful for him cause he's so introvert, he doesn't like stranger, other cats and he really sensitive to noise. Maybe you should go to vet if Tan repeat the same behaviour and getting worse.

탄이가 스트레스 엄청 받은듯 하네요. 이사+낯선 사람 콤보. 거기다 낯선 사람이 만지기... 펀치 처서 만지지 말라고 했는데 또 만지고... 일반적인 고양인 스트레스 엄청 받죠. 광복이 같은 고양이는 거의 없어요. 당분간 낯선 사람은 안오게 하고 병원 가보심이... 좋을듯 하네요.
오버그루밍처럼 보이는데 탄이가 표현을 안해도 은근 스트레스 받았었을수도 있을거 같습니다 저희 첫째가 둘째가 들어왔을때 오버그루밍을 심하게 했었는데 먹고싸고 노는데 별 다른게 없어서 그냥 뒀었거든요 나중에 보니까 오버그루밍을 심하게 해서 허벅지와 배 아랫부분이 털이 몽창 다 빠졌었습니다 허리 아랫부분의 오버그루밍이라면 스트레스로 인한 방광염이 왔을수도 있으니 자세히 살펴보시고 너무 심하다 싶거나 감자 숫자, 화장실에서 끙끙대는 소리등을 내게 되면 병원에 가보시는거 추천합니다
Milky was crazy about the bread and I think that bread must be good 😀😀 When was told not to eat it, Milky’s face was full with question marks 😂😂 Tan was nervous and grooming to impress new faces at home I guess. He’s still a kid doesn’t know how to settle down with this many new faces and voices but I believe he’s going to be okay soon 💙💙
I'm so happy to see the babies and butlers doing well~ Where I live, Tan would be called a "spicy cat." He seems to be a cat who has more boundaries and is not as easy-going like his brothers, making it harder for strangers to approach him as he may swat them if he doesn't know them. He's cute and def means no harm; he's just more reserved and likes his space! He might just be grooming himself more ferociously because of the stress of moving. If you notice fur coming out or bald spots on him, I would def take him to the vet, but for now, he seems okay. Taking him to the vet if you're worried is fine too :)
Your new home is beautiful and I love how Milky has found the perfect place to lie down...he fits so well. As for Tan, if the aggressive grooming was just once, then it might have been, as you said, a bit of moving stress. If he continues, then he probably should see a vet. I am surprised Tan was trying to swat your guest. I would have expected him to just run and hide since he is a bit on the shy side.

Tan debe estar estresado, por los cambios de rutina y como tenias vicitas todo eso pudo haber sido, para estar estresado yo tengo mi gatita que hace 5 meses que lo adopte y tiene impercibilidad gatuna, pero es leve, hago jugar más tiempo, me nos mal que no se lame mucho si Tan sigue haciendo eso hasta quedarse sin pelos por algunas sonas de su cuerpo te sugiero que lo lleves al Veterinario. Mis gatos siempre se están lavando, tal vez Tan se estresó por tanta gente y se quería sacar su olor. Tal vez no le gusta que otros lo toquen ( por si dejan su perfume, olor a crema de manos, etc) Para mí es normal que se laven mucho. Take Tan to the vet!!! this happened to my cat and it was awful to watch. I hope it gets better or it turns out to be nothing at all and everything is ok. But I would recommend taking Tan to the vet and showing the vet the video also so they can see what is happening and help Tan.
Yeah, looks like Tan got a bit stressed by the move, and also a bit over-stimulated by the visiting relatives. He's a sensitive boy, I guess. Also, the way the lady played with him, the "slap boxing", was kind of similar to the way cats play-fight with each other. I suspect that was what triggered him to slap and claw at her, he got confused and forgot that he was playing with a human. Next time, maybe she could try using a wand toy, like a feather on a stick. That should be more fun for both of them.
He could be stressed due to the change and the visitors coming. From his expression, he looked unhappy, thus excessive licking. My suggestion is: 1. Use Feliway spray around the house or infuser. Do not spray directly on to the cat as it has alcohol. You can spray on a towel, then let it evaporate a bit then wipe on his body. This was from my vet when my cat was stressed. 2. Increase playtime with him. 3. Minimize changes around him. He a sensitive cat. 😂

저희집 고양이가 이사오고 갑자기 몇일을 등을 움찔움찔 움직이고 갑자기 어디 가려운 것처럼 급하게 그루밍을 하더라구요 귀도 뜨끈뜨끈하고요 찾아보니 고양이 지각과민증후군이라는데 어느순간 잘쉬고 잘먹다보니 그 증상이 없어졌어요 스트레스 때문일수 있으니 좀더 지켜보시길 😢

심하면 자기털을 뜯고 뜯겨나간 피부가 심해지니 병원 내원하셔서 의사쌤께 보여드리고 미리 약처방 받길 바래요
저희집 아이도 워낙 예민해서 저렇게 오버그루밍 하면서 피부가 상처가 생겼어요 빠른대처가 탄이의 건강에 도움되길 바래요
아이고 ㅠ 다행히 지금은 안그러네요. 초반에 지켜보다가 그후로 한두번 하려고할때 다른곳으로 시선을 돌리게했더니 지금은 안하긴합니다 이사오고나서 스트레스를 받았었나봐요 ㅠ

We don't have cats, only our 11-yr old retriever... but maybe tan is stressed out ? With the new surroundings, plus the visitors... many unfamiliar things happening at the same time.... just a thought.😮

what i'm thinking about Tan is, Tan seems to be in the process of adapting and adjusting to his new environment. As I've read, cats heavily rely on their sense of smell, and being territorial creatures, they can get stressed in unfamiliar settings. With numerous guests frequenting the house, each bringing distinct scents and possibly interacting with Tan, he might be experiencing a bit of stress. His grooming behavior could be a way for him to alleviate stress and "brush off" unfamiliar scents
Stress can cause aggressive grooming on cats too. My cat develop this behaviour when he was 1 year old. He keep licking his body until he lost a lot fur and had bald spot and sores. First i thought that he had allergies reaction or other problem but i went to vet and they said it is cause by stress. It's kinda worse for me, and i did many things to reduce his stress and he slowly recover but whenever he get stress again he will do the same thing. So i have to be very careful for him cause he's so introvert, he doesn't like stranger, other cats and he really sensitive to noise. Maybe you should go to vet if Tan repeat the same behaviour and getting worse.

Tan seem to have stress issues. My first cat did this too. Over grooming
I would recommend take Tan to vet. Or this aggressive gooming will lead his skin get rashes

탄이가 스트레스 엄청 받은듯 하네요. 이사+낯선 사람 콤보. 거기다 낯선 사람이 만지기... 펀치 처서 만지지 말라고 했는데 또 만지고... 일반적인 고양인 스트레스 엄청 받죠. 광복이 같은 고양이는 거의 없어요. 당분간 낯선 사람은 안오게 하고 병원 가보심이... 좋을듯 하네요.

오버그루밍처럼 보이는데 탄이가 표현을 안해도 은근 스트레스 받았었을수도 있을거 같습니다 저희 첫째가 둘째가 들어왔을때 오버그루밍을 심하게 했었는데 먹고싸고 노는데 별 다른게 없어서 그냥 뒀었거든요 나중에 보니까 오버그루밍을 심하게 해서 허벅지와 배 아랫부분이 털이 몽창 다 빠졌었습니다 허리 아랫부분의 오버그루밍이라면 스트레스로 인한 방광염이 왔을수도 있으니 자세히 살펴보시고 너무 심하다 싶거나 감자 숫자, 화장실에서 끙끙대는 소리등을 내게 되면 병원에 가보시는거 추천합니다
알려주셔서 감사해요. 다행히 탄이 지금은 안그러긴 합니다 ㅠ 혹시모르니 계속 지켜보긴 하는중입니다 이사하느라 스트레스를 좀 받았던것같아요 ㅠ

Tan was nervous and grooming to impress new faces at home I guess. He’s still a kid doesn’t know how to settle down with this many new faces and voices but I believe he’s going to be okay soon 💙💙

Tan is just an ordinary orange cat. But you love him like he's very very special.

Where I live, Tan would be called a "spicy cat." He seems to be a cat who has more boundaries and is not as easy-going like his brothers, making it harder for strangers to approach him as he may swat them if he doesn't know them. He's cute and def means no harm; he's just more reserved and likes his space! He might just be grooming himself more ferociously because of the stress of moving. If you notice fur coming out or bald spots on him, I would def take him to the vet, but for now, he seems okay. Taking him to the vet if you're worried is fine too :)

저희는 3마리중에 한마리가 빵킬러라 빵을 찬장이나 전자레인지 안에 보관해요. 15살이라 모든 배달음식은 문이닫힌곳에 보관요.. 플라스틱통은 식탁에서 떨어트려서 뚜껑을 열어서 먹네요.. ㅠㅠ

탄이 성격자체가 완전 깔꼬미인데 아직 젊으니까 그게 점점 더 심해질수도 있을듯요~ 울 야옹이도 5살쯤 심하길래 물어본 적이 있어요 그때 성격자체가 그런 것 같다는 말을 하더라구요 지금은 18살 되니 쉬하고 모래덮는 것도 했다 안했다 그루밍도 하는둥 마는둥 그래요
지각과민증후군 같아요~ 저희아기도 이사때나...좀 스트레스 받는게 있으면 저러더라구요😢 시간 지나니까 괜찮아졌어요!

Your new home is beautiful and I love how Milky has found the perfect place to lie down...he fits so well. As for Tan, if the aggressive grooming was just once, then it might have been, as you said, a bit of moving stress. If he continues, then he probably should see a vet. I am surprised Tan was trying to swat your guest. I would have expected him to just run and hide since he is a bit on the shy side.

Tan debe estar estresado, por los cambios de rutina y como tenias vicitas todo eso pudo haber sido, para estar estresado yo tengo mi gatita que hace 5 meses que lo adopte y tiene impercibilidad gatuna, pero es leve, hago jugar más tiempo, me nos mal que no se lame mucho si Tan sigue haciendo eso hasta quedarse sin pelos por algunas sonas de su cuerpo te sugiero que lo lleves al Veterinario. Saludos a los hermosos peluches.
Mis gatos siempre se están lavando, tal vez Tan se estresó por tanta gente y se quería sacar su olor. Tal vez no le gusta que otros lo toquen ( por si dejan su perfume, olor a crema de manos, etc) Para mí es normal que se laven mucho.

6:32 등근육이나 꼬리쪽 근육이 움찔움찍 경련이 일어나서 느낌이 이상해서 그루밍 계속 하는 걸거예요 지속적으로 증상이 나타나면 병원에 가봐야될거 같지만 이때만 잠깐 그랬다면 괜찮을거 같아요.
사람 눈꺼풀이나 근육들 잠깐씩 떨리고 움찔 거리는거랑 비슷한?
계속 좀 지켜보고 있긴 한데 지금은 거의 안그러는것같긴합니다 ㅠㅎㅎ

Take Tan to the vet!!! this happened to my cat and it was awful to watch. I hope it gets better or it turns out to be nothing at all and everything is ok. But I would recommend taking Tan to the vet and showing the vet the video also so they can see what is happening and help Tan.
Yeah, looks like Tan got a bit stressed by the move, and also a bit over-stimulated by the visiting relatives. He's a sensitive boy, I guess.
Also, the way the lady played with him, the "slap boxing", was kind of similar to the way cats play-fight with each other. I suspect that was what triggered him to slap and claw at her, he got confused and forgot that he was playing with a human.
Next time, maybe she could try using a wand toy, like a feather on a stick. That should be more fun for both of them.
He could be stressed due to the change and the visitors coming. From his expression, he looked unhappy, thus excessive licking. My suggestion is:
1. Use Feliway spray around the house or infuser. Do not spray directly on to the cat as it has alcohol. You can spray on a towel, then let it evaporate a bit then wipe on his body. This was from my vet when my cat was stressed.
2. Increase playtime with him.
3. Minimize changes around him.
He a sensitive cat. 😂
