Watched the 5 part series on the building of this ship. Amazing! It was built in 38 weeks. I was very exited to find this video of its maiden voyage. It was nice to see this ship completed and and working.
I work in Neurosurgery, but I’m absolutely obsessed with cargo ships. I have the Lego model of this vessel and I’m so impressed with the Triple E vessels.
I am headed off to Great Lakes Maritime Academy this August, and I am really looking forward to my career on the oceans. Thanks for uploading some great maritime footage!
wonderful and amasing video, since eight months ago im a portuary worker, and this video gave me an completly diferent prespective that i never had so far, and maybe i will never have, great images from ports, cranes, and obviastly the huge and incredible ship, that my port will recieve one day, i hope, take care and greetings...good work
Thank you for sharing this video. I wondered this ship a lot. This video is so informative for me. I hope the ship goes for many years without incident
26:40 I was curios why the MÆRSK MC-KINNEY MØLLER was getting an escort until I saw the flag. The warship appears to be the HNLMS Van Speijk, a 3,000 ton Dutch frigate. This was an entertaining video. Thanks for posting it.
Thank you very much for sharing such an interesting trip with us. We look forward to another trip aboard this same ship, it is spectacular. I would like to know exactly where this ship is today September 29, 2021, I am very interested to know. On board is a great friend that I miss a lot. Blessings and may God protect you from the fury of the sea and pirates ... I will be attentive to see again the next trip aboard this immense ship.
Hi, It's now, that the danes can be proud, that we have this compagny and they started in Denmark with A.P.Møller Maersk McKinney Møllers father, and under WWII was the entire float in USA, and the son was living there with his wife Emma, After the war they moved to DK to live,I'm so proud to be a dane!!
Truly brilliant, insightful and thought provoking. Kudos to Yaroslav who took out the time and put in this much effort to make and edit such a treat of a video. This is much better than the documentaries we will ever get to see on Discovery or NAT Geo. Great Work :)
Awesome video!!! Can anyone explain the reason for the Siemens motors halfway down the propeller shaft??? Are they to help turn the shaft/engine during starting??
There is just one single word for this video: great! Thank you very much for sharing it with the community. But I got one question. At 13:21, is that black out? Brgrds
Great vid Yaroslav - Just curious, how is the mooring arrangements working compared to on the E-class? Looks to me like you are not able to see the mooringlines/bollards when working the winches on the forecastle? Is there no remote control system?
This is brilliant!!! I love it....BUT...could you possibly post a second version with the natural sounds of the wind, the sea, the engines, the port facilities etc? It would be much better. Someone else's idea of good music is always very subjective and personally I have to watch it with the volume down as the music is just distracting. What a pity to miss all those delicious ship and sea sounds. Please, please please consider my request! :-)
Most of this very nice documentary is made of time lapse photography, which means no sound was recorded unless Yaroslav had another camera or recording device. And "real time" sound synced with time lapse video (ie: ultra fast) might feel odd.
There must be like a million containers with Maersk on them in the world? Awesome video, thanks for making it. Have you encountered any rough seas yet? How did she handle it being the worlds physically biggest ship? Not sure of she is the heaviest?
Johan Nissen The Triple-E class is the largest class of container ship out there. Not far behind the largest ships of all time, such as the Seawise Giant.
You can call it the largest ship in the world today by size (not DWT) since the ships, that were previously larger in size, have all been scrapped. They do not exist anymore so that makes the Triple E Class the largest ships in the world by measurement (Length). There are ships that are wider but not longer. With respect to weight then in DWT the super tankers still rule supreme.
It is beautiful,,,with all those landscapes,,
I must say that ship is an absolute beauty!

Like a Swiss watch. It makes me want to clean out my closets and change the robot vacuum from once a week to every other day. Hugely impressive!
Well done vid. It has given me the bug once again to hit the high seas and see more of the world. Now, if i were 20 just years younger..... ;)
One of the best videos ever seen about traveling on a Maersk cargo. Thank you very much.
I work in Neurosurgery, but I’m absolutely obsessed with cargo ships. I have the Lego model of this vessel and I’m so impressed with the Triple E vessels.
Fascinating. I work in marine industry but never cease to be amazed by these beautiful ships.

You sir put together a stunning video EPIC SIMPLY EPIC
That is a sextant in the wooden box at 7:20 :) Nice to see they still have one on board a ship like this. I wonder if it ever comes out of the box?

Yaroslav Karetnikov is a Hero for a such launching, i am telling even Hollywood has never done it
and will never do it this is a humanitarian action.

Gotcha
Great job. Nice video. Waiting for millions of views) Main question- how do engineers get to ER? Main engines situated so far away from accomodation.
There must be like a million containers with Maersk on them in the world? Awesome video, thanks for making it. Have you encountered any rough seas yet? How did she handle it being the worlds physically biggest ship? Not sure of she is the heaviest?
Not the biggest at all: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world%27s_longest_ships
im not trying to put you down. ;)

TheChiefEng Precisely.
TheChiefEng That was my point, she is the largest ship AFLOAT TODAY. But I suspect some cruise ship will be built that's bigger, one day.
Amazing! :)
omg it would be so cool to work in one of those monsters !
love the video!!!
It is good video!!!))))
Great video, but what kind of camera and "timeline" effect did you use?
great video! I wonder if tall guys (6 ft 4) have difficulty walking in the ship? I'm interested in the industry.
GREAT VIDEO
No narration is a deal breaker for an avid documentary viewer (me); it's like gifting a Ferrari but with no wheels!
Should they walk on deck or in special passagways? What about alarm in the middle of the night?))))
this bridg
e is superb
27:10 you are on the IRTC inbound to Bab El Mandeb st. Correct?
is impressive capacity of this ship. exceeds expectations in size, load capacity offered.
Great video :D
Nice!
Perfect 👍
Human achievement at its best
no comment, too epic for me :D
