I got myself an early Christmas gift with Amazon's Black Friday deal and it's the Beck, Bogert & Appice box LP box set for 118 bucks which was the lowest I'd ever seen it at so I jumped on it! It includes 2 double Live albums, a beautiful 40 page hardcover book, a 2'×3' poster and tour program. What an awesome package! Keep on spinnin'!
Great video Frank! I'll be getting more Vinyl Storage Solutions sleeves as they just dropped their Black Friday sale..... 30% off. Cool box set on War top. Keep on spinning Frank 👍
Sweet it finally arrived. Surprised you got to slip the segment here since you just got started with it. Either way, hope ya like it & Thx. 4 spinning ^_^ As far as black Friday deals go. Got a couple mini CDs "i.e. CD3s" I got my eye on.
nothing for me vinyl wise, for Black Friday but that WAR box set looks nice. Didnt realise the postal service in Canada is on strike !! Lets hope they get it fixed in time for all the Christmas deliveries !!!!!!
All of the earlier War records are better than the stuff in that box set. Eric Burdon was on two LPs, plus an LP of outtakes ('Spill The Wine' was a huge hit with Burdon that you should remember). The next several records are great, they had a few huge hits in this period: 'Slippin' Into Darkness', 'Why Can't We Be Friends', and the mighty 'Lowrider'! There's an expanded box set of the World Is A Ghetto LP with 4 LP's worth of previously unreleased jams that formed the LP, if you're up for a deep dive. All of the LP's from Why Can't We Be Friends and earlier are worth owning.
@@Channel33RPM actually by chance was able to pick up the box set yesterday! I wasn't even in line early, showed up to bring my niece to the record shop for the first time and just happened to see it in the RSD crates, right on top!
My only Black Friday pickup so far is a couple t-shirts and a poster from Aerosmith’s website for the Peace Out tour. Now I can forever own a sad reminder of the tour that never came to be. 😭😆
I have the the first War box that came out a few years ago, which is excellent. I didn't think I'd be interested in the new box because I don't know the music and the reviews on their later albums aren't too good, but that set does look cool.
I've just ordered the Pro Plus at £175.20 from Amazon. I could have saved another £6.20 from an independent and collected one. I don't have time and don't want to miss out.
Hey Frank. Great video. I love war and own their catalogue. I'm only interested in two titles this RSDBF - The Todd Rundgren "Utopia" album and the latest Jazz Dispensary title. Cheers
Frank! You did it! you mentioned my favorite 80 Band. Dead Or Alive! Good Question, ...Do you have any 80, synth-pop, or rock or otherwise in your archives?
Wow, postal service strike, now that would totally suck. US has laws preventing them from going on strike thank god. No music coming in would be bad lol
Aloha Frank, I'm not sure if I'll buy that WAR box set. I did buy the 1971-1975 box set that came out a few years ago. Most likely you'll like that one more, if you enjoyed, the world is a ghetto. The newone you just got is OK, but out of all of those, I only have the double, War platinum Jazz, which also has the funk on one Vinyl.
I know... I didn't know what I was missing. I am familiar with Tower of Power (streamed some stuff). I'm going to keep an eye out for some of their stuff. Thanks for watching.
Frank is this your full time job now? If not this channel sounds like it takes a lot of time. Just wandering for myself if a channel like this can be lucrative if you still have a full time job? Or at this stage of your channel it has to be a full time job. Thanks
Good question. This is something I toil at in my spare time (evenings mostly). It's not nearly lucrative enough to be my full-time gig (though that would be cool). Over the years, I've gotten pretty good at putting videos together fairly quickly.... I don't re-invent the wheel each time. Many aspects are templated (music, graphics, thumbnails, etc), which speeds things along. When it gets too much, I take a pause, and come back a few weeks or a month later. Cheers.
Hey bro, those are their WORST albums. That box set WILL NOT sell. Grab albums like "All Day Music" or "Why Can't We Be Friends", you already have "The World Is A Ghetto".

You got to get WAR the world is a ghetto and Eric Burdon declares war. Both all time classics!
I think Ghetto was the record he first got from I think Rhino. But yes on both of those..
Yes, I do have The World is a Ghetto, and I will check out the other one. Thanks!
If memory serves, Eric Burden signed War originally. Thanks Frank!🙏🏻🎧
THE ALBUM RECORD YOU NEED FROM THAT BAND IS
( WAR ~ WHY CAN'T WE BE FRIENDS ?? )
I'm going to keep an eye out for it.
@@Channel33RPM Are the amounts of records of each artist released for RSD are they for the whole U.S? or worldwide? i don't understand how that works?
Friend who worked years in local Club . Said "WAR" was the Greatest band to ever play his Venue .

Keep on spinning Frank 👍
I got the Jimi Hendrix Songs for Groovy Children. WOW ❤

Thanks again for sending the disc. I didn't want to wait to long before showing it.

Thanks for the info!
The Doors box set just showed up, time to go listen to it. Record of the year for me is Keep Me Fed by The Warning.
A rare time youll find me lovin' the War 😂🤘 looks beautifully done.many thanks and happy holidays Frank and Family!!
All the best!
I just upgraded my WiiM Pro Plus to an Ultra. Love it so far... It was nice to get such a great deal on it.
The Ultra looks awesome man! I was definitely tempted. Some great deals this week. Do you notice a big difference?
I have war platinum, and a couple classics more.
I'm gonna have to check out that War stuff, I like something in the funky range of music
I'm completely new to War, but it's pretty cool stuff - particularly the early stuff.
Both of you are in for a treat. The first one with Eric Burdon is a classic.
@@Channel33RPM actually by chance was able to pick up the box set yesterday! I wasn't even in line early, showed up to bring my niece to the record shop for the first time and just happened to see it in the RSD crates, right on top!
@@brucegrossman3531 turns out, I didn't even know this, Burdon is from my family home of Newcastle, UK! Weird coincidence!

Man, yeah... I wish I could have seen Aerosmith one more time.
Sorry about your mail service, we had no idea! #ouch😩🎧
I streamed some of that War stuff. Pretty good. Looks like an expensive RSD for me LOL.
I'm happy that I ordered an item off EBAY from CANADA and got here no problem. Not sure how it was sent.

Those Jazz Dispensary titles are always great.
@ Agreed!
Tuk Smith was originally in a band called Biters.....check them out if you haven't already! "The Future Ain't What It Used To Be" is an amazing album!
Yes, I dig the Biters too! Wishing Tuk tons of success.
Awesome video bro
Frank! You did it! you mentioned my favorite 80 Band. Dead Or Alive! Good Question, ...Do you have any 80, synth-pop, or rock or otherwise in your archives?
Oh yeah, a good amount of 80s pop and rock in the collection (Duran, Cindy Lauper, etc...).
Wow, postal service strike, now that would totally suck. US has laws preventing them from going on strike thank god. No music coming in would be bad lol
Scientific audiophile showed that the wiim pro rca outs have clicking noise at higher volumes. Beware. I have the same product and I heard it. 😢
Interesting. I will listen for that. Thanks!

I'm listening to War anthology which goes up to 74. On CD. Pays to work from home.
Cool - good info. Thanks!
@@Channel33RPM that one has songs you never knew were by WAR. But have heard in movies like Boogie Nights and also Dazed and Confused come to mind.
Got a odd question, the hoodie you're wearing on the video, is it black or charcoal heather? Thanks
Not an odd question at all. The hoodie I was wearing is charcoal heather. Cheers!
I can't believe you hadn't discovered WAR before now! They're fantastic! Check out Tower of Power if you haven't.

Hi Frank . Are you a "the cure" fan ? If so thoughts on new album? And do you have a preference on who mastered it ? Thnx
No, not much of a Cure fan.. How is the new album?

What size shirt do you wear?
Large.
I didn't grab any BF stuff, but I did grab the new Marilyn Manson album.
I've been meaning to check that out. How is it?
@Channel33RPM I really like the album. A few of the tracks reminded me of Mechanical Animals.
Hey bro, those are their WORST albums. That box set WILL NOT sell. Grab albums like "All Day Music" or "Why Can't We Be Friends", you already have "The World Is A Ghetto".
At this point WAR sucked. You need the get the other two WAR box sets from previous Record Store Days.
oh so you're openly pro-war now? Unsubscribed!
Ha!
