Did the vocals sound this buried in the mix at the gig? Hey sound man, turn those vocals UP! Robin McAuley is a phenomenal singer! Cool to see Michael playing a Gibson again! Band sounds great...
Seems I'm seeing Michael playing nothing but Gibson's lately...?! IDK what's going on & I'm cool w/him on his Deans ( took me awhile, but it's been close to 20 yrs he's been w/them now, and really it's all about the playing & the music....) but suddenly I'm seeing lots of vids/pics of him on Gibson's.Hey cool,I always loved that anyways. Whatever he's playing makes no difference, the fact he's still jamming is all that matters.
Its fascinating isn't it ? ....I remember Michael playing a BLACK Gibson Flying V back in the Force it & Lights Out era with UFO in 1975-1977 ......And then in 1978 around the time of Obsession and Strangers in the Night he CHANGED it to this wonderful Matt WHITE Gibson Flying V with black pickups & truss Rod cover (which I thought was ICONIC) I even had two of my Gibson Flying Vs re finished like that in the early 1980s (both of which I still have) ...By that time Michael couldn't decide whether he liked Black or White better so he created his iconic BOTH B&W Gibson V of course....But I think it was the SAME Gibson being re-finished....Then he switched to Dean but now he's gone back to the old Gibsons again....I LOVE Michaels TONE & playing whether he plays GIBSONS OR DEANS though....Because Michaels SOUND is largely in the WAY his HANDS play the instrument. The way he grips the V between his legs so he can exact that really powerful finger vibrato to get extra sustain. & just his emotions coming thru his sensitivity of articulation on the fretboard.
@@walterevans2118 Whoa....I just checked Dean's website.....he's no longer listed on their Artist models page!! That's NEWS, he's always been one of their bigger, more prominent artists really.....wow. I loved his old 70s V that was all worn looking & that he had to auction off in the early 2000s to generate some cash, seems he ended up back on his feet shortly thereafter, landed the endorsement deal w/Dean & then never looked back, really. At 1st it was a hard pill for me to swallow, but in the end it didn't really matter, him still doing it is all that really matters. I haven't really heard anyone talking about this move, wonder what happened. He seemed to really love his Dean's, spoke very well about their playability, tone & general solidity. Just seems strange all of a sudden, though I'm happy to see him back with Gibson, if that's the case. Speaking of Gibson.....talk about BLOWING IT, he should've been their flagship ambassador for their iconic Flying V, but of course Grace Potter gets a Sig. ....wtf Gibson😩
I think it's to do with the copyright fight gibson and Dean are having. Gibson won some court cases against Dean. So I'm guessing he doesn't want play Dean v's because of that. Incase Gibson tell to stop playing them copyright v's.
@@martynlane2780 My guess is that Dean can't afford to sponsor him to play a copyright-breaching guitar. Gibson are wankers for needlessly doing that to Dean after so long, really.
It could be about time to get used to it, but the Gibson Flying V is not sounding as good as his Dean. Perhaps, he is in experimenting phase now before Gibson surprizes us with a signature model for him 🙂
Actually I kind of agree, even tho I prefer the iconic Gibson look....his Dean's did sound very good; very snappy & sizzling sounding, whereas this Gibson sounds kind of dark & muddy. But it could just be the recording, sound quality etc. I do know he also had some signature pickups from Dean, the Lights Out or something. Whatever, him getting a Sig. Gibson would be about freakin' time!!
Back to the Gibson, and about time too. Love it.
Totally agree 👍
Sounds much better.
Good to see Robin back on vocals
Romero is a good singer, but McAuley is at another level.
yes Man ! Another level indeed !
Great band, I love them!! Happy that I made my dream come true!!!❤🎸🎸🎸🎤😃
I miss heavy rock old school metal like this \m/
It's really something else!
Robin has one of the greatest ranges for his age. He can sing the whole catalog better than anybody
Great Great Song ✨🫶🏼🌀🎸🤘🏼🎶🎵🎶🎵📶📶📶📶⚡️
Dayum! Excellent rendition,thanks-
ahhhh - one of my fave tracks from the man... cheers for uploading!
Proper Flying V. Back to that tone.
Robin amazing as always.
I didn't even notice that wasn't a Dean. How did I miss that?
A song, only one once could sing brilliant : Graham Bonnet.

It’s probably the location that it was filmed at.

I was at this gig and the sound was terrible, muffled and muted. @@Stitsel
Love Mikey On The Dean With The V Headstock. To Me He Sounded Better On The Dean !!!
Gibson fly v tone, no compare😊
He should go back to the 70's and 80's sound.
There is room for improvement, but Gibson is the only choice.
Dean's high gain sound is too thick.
Best Michael sounded was on UFO's Walk On Water lp and the Scorps Lovedrive. IMHO
@@lloydsarnowski6986The tone of his guitar on Pushed To The Limit was awesome!
Sehenscheiden-Entzündung in der rechten Armbeuge, gute Besserung Michael!
