    I like this piece so much that it will be one of my first projects when everything arrives. But for me the very best info in this video is watching you struggle with it which I have never seen you do before this. When that wire broke I was ecstatic because with that memory I will easily forgive my perfectionist (in recovery) self each time it happens to me. Thank you.

    Just started wire wrapping and have been watching all I can. That said this maybe a n odd statement but you are who I go to when I want calm reality. Your voice is soothing and your manner so real about things don't always go quite the way you plan. You laugh and home around the whole time. I love it. Thank you

    I like your videos, they are based on a work in progress lesson style. I also like the fact you leave everything in. Like say a bit has gone wrong so hear is how you fix that problem. Your video also is like giving the viewer ideas on how to make parts and not a this is how we do it and it must be done this way.
    It highlights your creativity and showcases your skills very well.
    🤟💖👍

    I recently snapped a wire on a project as well, and I must say that you handled it far better than I did (grin). I love that you leave all of those missteps in because one, it shows us that even people who have been doing this for a long time have issues, and two, it inspires us to keep going, to try it in a different way, or to perhaps change our initial plans completely. I always love hearing your thought process. It makes me think about design in a different way and come up with new ideas. Keep the coffee and the crafting coming!

    First I wanted to say your laughter and joy is very infectious....I am a chronically ill person (as known as a spoonie)....due to being immune compromised I am shut in my home most of the time only getting out for doctors apt and treatment days....since becoming so sick my husband has pointed out (along with lots of my friends and family) that going from working in a fast paced ER for 16 years to being pretty much home bound because with my immune system and treatments I can’t be out....so I watch you and you give me such joy!!! so my husband and I have started some resin work as a way for me to feel like I have a purpose in life again....and I’m not sure how I ended up finding you but I can not stop watching you....the next thing I want to try to wire wrapping things....since I am on a very limited budget since I’m medically disabled and we rely only on my husbands check...I would love to learn how to wire wrap...if there anything you can suggest for me to get as “must haves” to start wire wrapping....I love watching you wrap and I just never really grasp what I have to have to start...can you or anyone advise me on what to get to start...the resin making has been a way to do PT (in hospital PT they have me color to keep my OCD and PT under control) but now that I am home; I am looking for a way to sell my stuff to pay my medical bills down (a treatment that I take to stay alive costs my $98,000 per 28 days)...my insurance doesn’t pay all of that so I am looking to make some money each month to make medical payments as well as pay for some of my specialty doctor copays...everyone in my family has been asking what I want fro Christmas and I have told them some of the items that I use to craft with and would like to be able to ask for wiring stuff but not really sure what to ask for...if you would be so kind to help me figure that out I would need to start would be great! thanks for making my long horrible days not feel so bad...you add laughter and joy to my rather dim days, so thank you so much for that💕

    Can I ask the para wire you use does it tarnish or is that other cheap silver or copper plated wire! I’m looking for good quality wire that doesn’t do this as I find it to be a waste of time creating a beautiful piece and it’s colour rubs of after a couple of wears

  • @JimMcIntosh
    @JimMcIntosh 4 года назад +2

    Just one helpful hint....after you initially wrap the wire around the frame, take a pair of flat nose pliers and squeeze the loop tightly around the frame. This will prevent the wire from moving and will make the piece a lot more solid.

    Ahhh, I love your pedant. I have been wrapping for a couple years, but this technique seemed out of my league, but it was fun and I made up something different to make sure I made something. Really like your soothing voice and I like how you are so real. Hey sh#$ happens, but it's how you handle it. I love your fake it until you make it. How do people that have to have everything perfect wire wrap?
