Yes! Great use of padauk, such a gorgeous wood. It's one of my favorites, it machines so well, and the fact that it smells like vanilla when you cut it is such a lovely bonus. Great work!

Those knobs and thumb piece... Really went the extra mile there and it paid off big. I would have been satisfied with some plain knurled brass knobs and nothing on the spring catch. Spectacular work.
Your protractor does not look like a museum piece. It IS a museum piece! Wow! It's beautiful! You should sell these. They would last generations and become a family heirloom, passed from fathers to sons for a very long time! Great job! Thanks for sharing this :)
Very nice. There is only one improvement I would make, I'd add the ability to lock the quick adjust down / disengaged. I've never seen it done on a machine but try setting up an angle of, for example, 44 degrees. It's awkward because it keeps wanting to snap to 45 degrees so you have to hold down the quick adjust, set the angle and lock the angle plate without it moving.
Yes, you are right. But in this case I just keep it pressed and install without it. It cant move disk when handle holds. Of course we can build one more lock locking main lock but really it is needed?
I'm missing some shirt buttons, any chance we make a deal to fix me some? Walnut, cherry, iroko i don't care... shirt is white, so.... I begin to feel that you'll have a lot of requests for this saw after it's done (when is that btw?) but i'm sure your answer will be "Priceless..." and walk away! Bravo, once more.
