- Hi queens!!! Today’s video is just one of MANY to come hair journey videos. It’s now been 6 months since i did my big chop and i’m now at about 3 3/4 inches. I’ll do another update at around the 9 month mark! Thanks so much for watching🥰🥰

I just did my big chop this past weekend. I have 2c/ 3a hair too & I wasn’t expecting the spiky hair either 😭😭 but I am glad I came across your video!! Gave me some kind of reassurance

I can definitely relate. The under layer of my hair is darker than the rest.. I box dyed it what was supposed to be dark brown (to match the under layer) the under layer of my hair remained fairly dark but the rest of my hair had an incredibly visible orange tint and was light brown. I have a range of curls and waves. My hair currently lays bellow my chest. I’m hoping to do a big chop tomorrow. I’ve done something similar and it was much easier to manage. I also really loved the length! Now that I’ve learned the best way to style my wavy/curly hair I want to define the range.
yes it sucks when that happens that really weird orange tinge! How short will you go?

I shaved my head about four years ago when I realized I had curly hair but I didn’t know how to take care of it so it didn’t grow back the best it could. Now mine is damaged again and I am scared to shave it again but I am feeling better since mines about the same as your curl pattern and I know how to take care of them
i’m going to do a 1 year update soon so keep a look out for that!! but it’s super scary to
go through the process but if healthy hair is what you want it’s super nice!
