I am part of a beautiful group, i have some friends in it and even classmates who are interested in joining. It just makes me a little sad, as an avid gun collector, that a genuine piece of history was destroyed in that pursuit. I own a few Kar 98K’s from WW2 and they have become harder and harder to find.

Not directly related to Simo. But when the russian tank armor got better and Finland's anti tank rifles were obsolete, they started to use them for counter sniping using exactly the glint of a scope to spot enemy snipers. I can't even guess how scary it would be to be that enemy sniper.

It was multi-purpose too, being intended to use the same ammunition as anti-air guns for compatibility, and had three ammunition types if I recall. AP, HE and Phosphorous. So, as icing on the cake: if you were a sniper having this thing pointed at you, chances are that the round heading your way would *not* be armor-piercing, but instead a 20mm High Explosive shell. Forget accuracy: shooting something like that at a person, I don't think you even have to hit the mark.

8:03 that’s an akm. Not an ak47. You can tell by the curved shape of the hand guards and the rod underneath the barrel. Essentially the akm is the Soviet unions attempt at creating a modernized battle rifle (before the ak74) so yeah there is a differenc, and the one you have is an akm

I'm 15 years old and I really love old WW2 guns, and I really love your Kar98k. I actually have a shell ejecting Kar98k by double bell airsoft. It is made from a real Kar98k! Full wood, full metal, and I just love destroying my friends with it!🤣 I also have an electric M1 Garand and I can snipe people from up to 100 yards away without a scope!!! I'm really surprised at how well it shoots! someday I hope to be sort of like you! But maybe not quite as good as you!🤣
