Thank you for your review! I do want to just say that of course if you use a shade that is too light, you will have to build the color. I think the negative review on needing a lot of product for the medium, is more so because it’s the wrong shade. Although, I will say that from the video when you start applying the medium, it looks really subtle and pretty (maybe just the way it picks up on camera). In terms of blurring pores, a lot of people have textured skin around the cheekbone area, so having that blurring effect seamlessly blend into the rest of the powder on the face is a benefit for some. I think this also came about because a ton of makeup artists use face powders in 1-2 shades darker for contouring- this again allows for all powders to blend seamlessly. Also, typically when you want to create shadows on your face, you want the shadows and contours to be completely matte to create that illusion. These are just a few points from a makeup artist, hope they help!
Valid points Parisa! I think I just had too high an expectation for the bronzer and it didn't even come close to how my other bronzers perform. The marketing for this didn't help either, instead of enlarged pores they should have focused on textured skin. And medium shade i was most disappointed in as I only bought it after seeing rave reviews from people close to my skintone. I didn't try it as a contour so that could have worked!
I like the review and wish I had seen it before my search for a better bronzer. I've found NARS Casio to be too muddy (can use it in the summer, but it still doesn't seem to sit that well on my skin), and NARS Laguna seems to just be missing something (maybe too light?). For the summer, I love Chanel's Universal - natural glow on my skin tone because it matches so closely. In my quest for an upgraded winter powder bronzer, I really love Charlotte Tilbury's Tan version. I do recommend it for textured skin. Your complexion seems very smooth, so I can't imagine you seeing the value in pore diffusion, but I still have acne scars and need all the diffusion I can get. Most powdered bronzers tend to "sit in" the texture and emphasize it, especially matte ones. This one (so far) seems to hide them a bit and not call them out. More videos please! Need more comparisons for my skin tone :) :). Oh, and the Medium CT bronzer just seemed so light in the pan in-store...lighter than even my winter complexion, so I didn't bother purchasing. They probably need a shade in between the two? I didn't bother trying it, and your review confirmed that it was a good idea.
I agree Nars Casino is a bit too neutral so it doesn't look right on me either. CT tan is great tho now that I've been using it for sometime. The shade medium was a definite let down. For sure need a shade in between. I think I was also confused by the marketing from CT team. Pores didn't make sense, if they had focused on texture, that would've been appropriate. BTW I have been really enjoying the new reformulated version of the Nars laguna matte bronzer. Itz warmer than the original laguna and looks great on my skintone. Also has a creamy powder finish that is lovely. If you are curious I've done cheek and arm swatches in my top bronzer video.
@@RashiRamalho Is NARS laguna in the same color group as ct airbrush bronzer in TAN? Am i safe if i buy TAN instead of medium? I always use laguna from NARS.
this video is so helpful as i've been trying to decide between the two shades. shade 2 will def make my warm yellow skintone too muddy for my taste. shade 3 will be the right one for me. thanks again, rashi! love your videos :)
Shade 3 is great! Since this video, I've done another one comparing Gucci bronzer to CT so it might be handy to watch that one too. As I have come to really love CT shade 3 which is not apparent in this video🥰
I had the same experience with this bronzer. After watching so many reviews by people with very similar skintone to me (and you), I got the medium shade. It does not show up on me no matter how hard I try. When it's built up it looks powdery and has a pinky tone that doesn't look good on my skin. I think the formula is lovely but I'm hesitant to try the tan in case it's too red and overly pigmented. Also I think I'm the only person in the world who thinks the packaging is way too big....I will never get through that much bronzer and the compact takes up so much space 😂
Yeap I really disliked the shade medium. Itz huge and you are right far too much product. Honestly I don't even use tan that much. When applied lightly it definitely works for me. My fave bronzer atm is Ilia Novelty that had perfect amount of intensity and a yellow undertone. I've done a video on it if you wanted to see how it looks.
@@RashiRamalho I'm considering getting the Ilia because I bought 2 products recently based on your recommendations - The Nars highlighter in Fort de France and the Natasha Denona contour powder. The highlighter is perfectly subtle and the contour powder works beautifully despite it looking like it would be too warm. If you were to step up a shade (deeper) in the Bobbi Brown bronzer do you know which one you'd get?
Thanks so much!! Brushes are Chikuhodo Takumi Series T-2 for a softer, lighter application and T-4 for a stronger application. I got these from Beautylish and they are fab🤩
Do you think I could use this bronzer as a setting powder in replacement for the Airbrush flawless finish powder? It's double the amount for a cheaper price! :(
Hi, new subscriber here! I'm enjoying your videos and really appreciate that you come closer to the camera so we can see what the texture of these products look like! :)
Hi, new subscriber here! I know this is a video on CT bronzers but i cant stop staring that the eyeshadow! Which one is it please? It looks absolutely stunning on you!
Thank you! This is a very matte bronzer so if you do like mattifying bronzers then I think you will definitely like it. Itz also huge! You will never run out of product haha
It is obvious medium shade is not for your dark skin tone. It is your mistake for picking up the wrong shade. Also, it says matte in the name of product.
wow....please give rashi a break! we all make mistakes in choosing shades, that's how we learn how to pick up the correct one. people don't get the perfect color EVERY time lol
Hi everyone, I have really loved the CT bronzer in shade Tan, you can check out my updated review here: ruclips.net/video/jmFXzEgIOao/видео.html

Hi, I purchased both and I love them. I start with Medium and then lightly blend in the shade Tan. It looks perfect for my med/tan skin.
Thank you for the tip!!
As always, your reviews are precious but, this time, I'm blown away by your eyelook. I love it!!!
Thank you so much! Il need to redo it as I love it too🥰

Hello! What brush are you using for the tan bronzer? It looks perfect
Itz chikuhodo T2 brush
I’m actually fair with warm/olive undertones and I’m finding even I have to go in a few times with medium. I’ll be going for tan next time.
Gosh I'm definitely not surprised to hear that😅

Hey I’m shade nc35 in max foundation would you suggest I go for the medium bronzer in ct
Yeah I think with you being lighter than me medium would probably work well
