It was a great movie great acting from lemon and dennis god bless and rip to both of them truly Hollywood royalty. The movie was actually made a year earlier in the spring of 1969 before it was released in 1970. I loved Quincy Jones excellent superb music score truly a classic they dont make good music and musicial score like that anymore.
FABULOUS!! i can't find the soundtrack anywhere. you are so great to have shared this with us! my absolute favorite part is the end, when the theme sped up. the vocals harmonizing, the brass, the bongos, the strings... just make me wanna fly.
Hi Blake....your'e a wonderful ! -- there are no many people around these days who are love in special this kind of music like we did ...don't even heart about this movie or this kind of movie period ;-) .. or even this kind of music !!! - I'm so glad that there are some people out there, who have the taste and the ability to identify this kind of beauty here !! - thx's so much for listen to and to wrote me here ! - all my best finemusic1000- :-)
Thank you sooooooo much for uploading this! The soundtrack is impossible to find - my brother and I have been looking for it for years. Such great music - and equally great movie!
love when Ann Prentiss mentions “the stacking hour”! .. back when flights all took off on time with tons of extra fuel so that they could hold for hours at the destination- rather than delay those departures until there supposedly would be little to no landing delays.
Anybody remember when AMC showed this and the opening song was instead the car chase music? There were also a few other audio differences including the way that the liquor looter says "This is the butler!" Always wondered the reason for the changes.
Jones hot it on the head with this piece, Blended with the Movie PERFECT!!!
Back when Movies were GOOD and had REAL Soundtracks!!!
I can Verify that
Wonderful film, wonderful music.
I love ❤️ this ❤️ movie the out of towners!!
As far as I'm concerned Jones should've won the Oscar for this soundtrack
Rest in peace Sandy Dennis, great actress.

Love this movie
Quincy Jones always had his "touch", just like Henry Mancini
"My names George and I'm your friend...amigo?"
"This plane is going to Havana Cuba!"
"Oh my gaaaaaaaad!"
Damn listen to that bass player!
Filme adorável dos anos 70. J.Lemmon esta imperdível....
JUst get an ear to Lalo Schifrin "Foul Play" released more than a year before

I remember that also. It was very strange. I always wondered that myself, if AMC had been responsible for the changes or not.
Orchestrated by genius's Jack Hayes and Leo Shuken
sounds like some Creed Taylor produced shit. It sounds good...before my time. Some music from the 60s sound so peaceful.
Yes you actually had to know how to arrange for orchestra and not just program samples.
Yes, CTI had a lounge sound to it with their jazz-pop twist. Also, Quincy Jones made some records for CTI as well.
Quincy wrote/arranged some awesome music..."$"
Sweetness..
Mükemmel.
Some Brazilian influences in there...
