My husband and I both love each other very much however if you asked either one if us who we would save in a fire, each other or our Adult Daughters we'd both choose our girls. Yet, in this case, he lied about it to all three wives...not admitting that he fell for Robyn and wanted only Robyn. That made it doubly worse. In addition, Robyn pit her own kids against their siblings so that she wouldn't have to be around any of them. Then, they could "touch" Meri, but not Truely when she was moving. Yeah, it's Robyn.
I totally get what you're saying here... Things get really blurry when it comes to blended families. I've seen awful monsters as step parents who very obviously treat their bio kids as superior & try to manipulate the SK out of the family. I've also seen wonderful step parents who treat all the children as equals, step up, and really sacrifice. I'm the latter... and I have 100% confidence my bonus kids would agree. We have good, healthy relationships, even with my oldest bonus daughter who's now an adult and on her own. My husband (her dad) started off as her step dad, adopted her, raised her as his own. She was (still is) absolutely treated equally. So I'd say my husband is the second type of step parent as well. That all being said, we truthfully put our marriage first. We did this consciously after going deep into counseling (it was for the purpose of being proactive because blending is HARD). This absolutely trickled down to the children and had we not put marriage first (which is creating a stable foundation), I don't believe our relationships would be as healthy and strong as they are today. I have zero regrets. My point is is that shitty, selfish, narcissistic people will be shitty, selfish, narcissistic people, regardless. It's all about intent. Putting marriage first for the intent on building and maintaining a solid foundation FOR ALL of the children is obviously FAR different from putting the marriage first for selfish, nefarious purposes (as K & R and all "step monsters" did and do!!). Putting marriage first when done for the RIGHT reasons is not a bad thing!!

@@janethayes-anderson2683 I have this theory (or assumption): when the show ends, OG3 may lawyer up and start to claim what they should get in this relationship (especially Meri because she had a more than 10-year legal marriage with Kody). Robyn will seize this chance to manipulate Kody to get a legal divorce from her to make the contribution to OG3 as small as possible. Stupid Kody buys the idea and does it and transfers most assets to Robyn or her bio kids. Then Robyn maintain a period of "honeymoon" with him and then forges unbearable conflicts with him, and drives him away. I believe if Robyn has a chance, she will do this. By the time all is done, Sol and Ari will be grown and she will be in her 50s or 60s. She doesn't need to stay forever with pos like Kody, but gets all the assets from him. Kody will likely spend his retire life in poverty and misery.
As far as Meri goes, I strongly believe she would take Kody back in a heartbeat if he approached her. So unsettling. In a way, I’m glad Kody FINALLY got the courage to tell it to her straight that there’s no reason for her to stay. Robyn had a little pop psychology maybe marriage counseling and she believes she is a certified licensed therapist. Just because Meri, Janelle and Christine were raised in a “ cult” or converted to cult mentality and possibly naive didn’t give Robyn permission to take advantage of their good nature. They gave Robyn the benefit of the doubt , that she had honest intentions to blend families. Manipulating the divorce of Meri and Kody saying it was for the kid's adoption. Then having a part in the catfish incident and the fake man hitting on Meri. Watch Robyn when they were in Alaska talking about the catfish. Putting strange thoughts into Mariah's head about wanting to be with women and turning Mariah against her mother. Repeatedly insulting Janelle's weight and body in front of Kody, and then, when that did not discourage Kody enough, setting such a huge wedge between Janelle's kids and their dad that it destroyed any chance at reconciling. Discouraging Meri from going to school to better herself, and talking Kody out of helping Meri mortgage the B&B. This is speculation but, was she jealous Christine had a little one close to Sol's age and have anything to do with True being neglected and becoming dehydrated? True's kidneys shut down and she almost died! And what was her convo and texts with Garrison when he contacted her and asked for his father back? There is so much more... multiple kids and women all being abused by Robyn.
I agree, it is a very interesting puzzle to ponder. I remember on an episode while in Flagstaff, before Christine left, Kody says that Robyn is such a “peacemaker” that wives often go to her first when they have an issue with Kody… It’s because they saw that Robyn was the key to getting what they wanted/needed from him. -He won’t shower at Christine’s until Robyn steps in. -He won’t let them celebrate Easter until Robyn joins and wants to. -No pierced ears until Robyn enters and wants to keep hers. -Despite the fact MSWC was a total flop, they kept with it because it’s what Robyn wanted. Come on now, you can’t go through all that life experience and feel you’re an equal in the relationship. They saw time and again that Robyn was always the true gatekeeper to their husband. Same with Covid protocols. It boils down to what Robyn is comfortable with, period. It is an interesting mix once all the Covid fighting happened. You have Robyn’s toxic covert manipulation and Kody’s need to be so manly and head of the house. It’s such a lethal combination for the rest of the family. I think Kody is so scared to lose Robyn, he’s been willing to throw all other relationships away and that seems extremely unhealthy and scary.
Didn’t Kody recently state that ‘Robyn is SHY?’ She has not been shy from the get-go. She has inserted herself into every conversation and with the Talking Heads, she talks the most, at least a LOT! They had assumed that Meri had paired up with Robyn and Kody and that they were looking out for her. Janelle had paired up with Christine and they met up and looked out for each other during quarantines. Janelle said that if she had known that Robyn and Kody had shut out Meri, she would have reached out the Meri.

Regarding the relationship with his kids I think age is also a factor. The kids grew up and naturally (although usually quite late in religious families) started to question Kody on some things, maybe challenge him. He doesn't want that. He can't handle it. I think he only has relationships with Robyn's kids now because they are demure and don't question anything. I think one of the older daughters said smth along the lines of "I allowed myself to think about this on my own"...I mean... doesn't this say it all?

I have made the decision to no longer watch SW when the new season comes out, a child died their child but they will continue to film, as a mother who lost an adult child (not to suicide) but my child died none the less, I could not imagine continuing to make money off the back of my child !! It's gross and disgusting. Their adult son was in pain and not anyone could put their phones, cameras down, and help RGB. SMDH😢

I’m so sick of Kody making statements like “That feels like blame” or that people are “trash talking” him - when the women and children are literally just repeating what he said. About them! This does make me wonder just how much the OG3 and older kids were covering for Kody (& Robyn) over the years.
That scene from the recommitment ceremony episode always pisses me off. Who the hell does Robyn think she is telling Maddie to move out? Out of Janelle’s house? How does she feel emboldened to say that? Why did Janelle not address that immediately? She had the right passive woman for that mess. A real man bear would have lit into her on the spot.
I was with Christine from the start, I knew Robyn was a manipulative homewrecker, I do believe that Kody and the OG 3 had functioning relationships and there was love in all of them in different ways, he was also close to his kids, but in the end he was a weak man who let a new piece whip him and control him from the very start and when she was called out she reverted to the crying innocent victim game when it was just her controlling the situation, of those that re-watch old episodes, it is now so clear.

I’m rather perplexed about how K&R are able to continue to live the extravagant lifestyle if their income has been decreased because the OG wives are now being paid separately rather than the full income from the show going directly into the family account (as it had been previously)? Maybe a deep dive into this?
What always shocked me was how they went from all the kids belong to all the mothers and Robyn getting a vote in whether the kids could go to a youth group to not even being able to see their "siblings" during covid. Immediate family was okay, so they just admitted they weren't immediate family at all, more like separate families and living more like cousins than siblings. These moms cannot even babysit Robyn's kids. It's no longer all moms of all: no one had a say or even a role in Robyn's kids life. These clips show Robyn said her "doctor" suggested these rules and she is clearly the one making the calls. Yes they are SO isolated; it's unhealthy. They don't even seem to be comfortable with one of the girls going in person to college locally or them moving out. They didn't even appear to attend their sibling's funeral. The other video showed they and the bio dad had no idea what was really happening and they basically documented it was coerced. She absolutely inserted herself into all his convos by acting like she alone understood this man she's known less than them.

I totally get what you're saying here... Things get really blurry when it comes to blended families. I've seen awful monsters as step parents who very obviously treat their bio kids as superior & try to manipulate the SK out of the family. I've also seen wonderful step parents who treat all the children as equals, step up, and really sacrifice.
I'm the latter... and I have 100% confidence my bonus kids would agree. We have good, healthy relationships, even with my oldest bonus daughter who's now an adult and on her own. My husband (her dad) started off as her step dad, adopted her, raised her as his own. She was (still is) absolutely treated equally. So I'd say my husband is the second type of step parent as well.
That all being said, we truthfully put our marriage first. We did this consciously after going deep into counseling (it was for the purpose of being proactive because blending is HARD). This absolutely trickled down to the children and had we not put marriage first (which is creating a stable foundation), I don't believe our relationships would be as healthy and strong as they are today. I have zero regrets.
My point is is that shitty, selfish, narcissistic people will be shitty, selfish, narcissistic people, regardless. It's all about intent. Putting marriage first for the intent on building and maintaining a solid foundation FOR ALL of the children is obviously FAR different from putting the marriage first for selfish, nefarious purposes (as K & R and all "step monsters" did and do!!). Putting marriage first when done for the RIGHT reasons is not a bad thing!!

Robyn will seize this chance to manipulate Kody to get a legal divorce from her to make the contribution to OG3 as small as possible. Stupid Kody buys the idea and does it and transfers most assets to Robyn or her bio kids. Then Robyn maintain a period of "honeymoon" with him and then forges unbearable conflicts with him, and drives him away. I believe if Robyn has a chance, she will do this. By the time all is done, Sol and Ari will be grown and she will be in her 50s or 60s. She doesn't need to stay forever with pos like Kody, but gets all the assets from him. Kody will likely spend his retire life in poverty and misery.
As far as Meri goes, I strongly believe she would take Kody back in a heartbeat if he approached her. So unsettling. In a way, I’m glad Kody FINALLY got the courage to tell it to her straight that there’s no reason for her to stay. Turning Kody against the other women one by one by forcing him to see faults. Encouraging the crippling jealousy that Christine had until she couldn't take it any more. Manipulating the divorce of Meri and Kody saying it was for the kid's adoption. Then having a part in the catfish incident and the fake man hitting on Meri. Watch Robyn when they were in Alaska talking about the catfish. Putting strange thoughts into Mariah's head about wanting to be with women and turning Mariah against her mother. Repeatedly insulting Janelle's weight and body in front of Kody, and then, when that did not discourage Kody enough, setting such a huge wedge between Janelle's kids and their dad that it destroyed any chance at reconciling. Discouraging Meri from going to school to better herself, and talking Kody out of helping Meri mortgage the B&B. This is speculation but, was she jealous Christine had a little one close to Sol's age and have anything to do with True being neglected and becoming dehydrated? True's kidneys shut down and she almost died! And what was her convo and texts with Garrison when he contacted her and asked for his father back? There is so much more... multiple kids and women all being abused by Robyn.

I remember on an episode while in Flagstaff, before Christine left, Kody says that Robyn is such a “peacemaker” that wives often go to her first when they have an issue with Kody… It’s because they saw that Robyn was the key to getting what they wanted/needed from him.

-He won’t let them celebrate Easter until Robyn joins and wants to.
-No pierced ears until Robyn enters and wants to keep hers.

Come on now, you can’t go through all that life experience and feel you’re an equal in the relationship. They saw time and again that Robyn was always the true gatekeeper to their husband. They had assumed that Meri had paired up with Robyn and Kody and that they were looking out for her. Janelle had paired up with Christine and they met up and looked out for each other during quarantines. Janelle said that if she had known that Robyn and Kody had shut out Meri, she would have reached out the Meri.

Regarding the relationship with his kids I think age is also a factor. The kids grew up and naturally (although usually quite late in religious families) started to question Kody on some things, maybe challenge him. He doesn't want that. He can't handle it. I have made the decision to no longer watch SW when the new season comes out, a child died their child but they will continue to film, as a mother who lost an adult child (not to suicide) but my child died none the less, I could not imagine continuing to make money off the back of my child !! I was with Christine from the start, I knew Robyn was a manipulative homewrecker, I do believe that Kody and the OG 3 had functioning relationships and there was love in all of them in different ways, he was also close to his kids, but in the end he was a weak man who let a new piece whip him and control him from the very start and when she was called out she reverted to the crying innocent victim game when it was just her controlling the situation, of those that re-watch old episodes, it is now so clear.

Plenty of kids don't like/get along with their stepparents, they meet with bio parent alone. Something can be worked out. But it sounded like Kody insists Robyn be present with him at all times. This is resource guarding behavior, and I believe it comes from Robyn, not Kody. Incredibly toxic couple. Kody is a narcissist married to a smarter narcissist.

I agree Sarah. Liebrows has been manipulative from the start and the family had to kiss Liebrows ass to win favor with Kody. Kody and her have been in a monogamous relationship since the wedding. Kody used the OG3 for money and to continue the show. I feel sorry for all the kids!

I’m rather perplexed about how K&R are able to continue to live the extravagant lifestyle if their income has been decreased because the OG wives are now being paid separately rather than the full income from the show going directly into the family account (as it had been previously)? What always shocked me was how they went from all the kids belong to all the mothers and Robyn getting a vote in whether the kids could go to a youth group to not even being able to see their "siblings" during covid. Immediate family was okay, so they just admitted they weren't immediate family at all, more like separate families and living more like cousins than siblings. These moms cannot even babysit Robyn's kids. It's no longer all moms of all: no one had a say or even a role in Robyn's kids life.
These clips show Robyn said her "doctor" suggested these rules and she is clearly the one making the calls.
Yes they are SO isolated; it's unhealthy. They don't even seem to be comfortable with one of the girls going in person to college locally or them moving out. They didn't even appear to attend their sibling's funeral. The other video showed they and the bio dad had no idea what was really happening and they basically documented it was coerced.
She absolutely inserted herself into all his convos by acting like she alone understood this man she's known less than them.

Kody Was a good, caring, fun loving father and husband until robyn came along. She divided that family. She put a stop to all their family traditions and turned kody against his family one tradition and one member at a time. Starting with the ones she felt the most threatened by. I really cant stand that sick, poor excuse of a mother and wife.
