Great job on this tutorial! I do have a question if you can help answer it for me. I perform live on stage using a Ketron Event keyboard and would to get the same pedal steel sounds from Impact on my keyboard or possibly adding a second midi keyboard that would be designated for the pedal steel solo's etc. Can this app be used and connected through midi to my keyboard for LIVE performances? Thank you!
Do you have a video explaining how to connect my midi keyboard to my laptop to learn how to use pedal steel LIVE on stage? If anyone can help I would appreciate it! Thank you, Ron
Excellent tutorial! Would a 61 key MIDI controller be an adequately sized keyboard for this app.? Thanks!

Hello! The short answer is yes if you're just going for the playable range; however, if you want access to the FULL range of keyswitches and harmony keys, then it won't quite be enough. That said, I have a 48 key keyboard myself, and I get by without any issues by utilizing the octave change keys when needed.
I have a 36 key keyboard. So I can’t access all the aquamarine and orange key switches at the bottom of the keyboard. Since I will be using this software primarily for live performances, it’s kind of touch to change the key switches on the fly. Any suggestions? Thanks again for all your help.
Whoever is planning the user experience in this industry must be mad as a cow.. download a product to download a product , than activate the downloaded product and load the first downloaded product within your DAW to launch another product that you activated. 😢😢
I am new to instruments and MIDI as I am a guitar player and only ever record audio and vocal tracks. My question is what if you only have a keyboard that only has enough keys for just the playable range that is shown? Should a get a full sized one? I have downloaded and installed this and have played around with it but was trying to learn to use it.
The answer to this question is that it depends. If you want access to all of the keyswitches and the playable range at the same time, you _would_ need a bigger keyboard, yes. However, for Pedal Steel in particular, that might not be necessary, since you can toggle the keyswitches either after the fact or before recording MIDI. It's up to your preference!
Pedal Steel is compatible with Kontakt Player! If you're having trouble getting one of our instruments to work, please reach out to our customer support team and they'll be happy to help you out.

There are timestamps in the video description :) Some of our customers have never used Kontakt Player or Native Access, and are not necessarily tech savvy, which is why we wanted to make a very clear step-by-step walkthrough!
Thank you! Great introductory tutorial.
Well done !

Yes get a new keyboard with more keys.
@@RandomVelocity Thanks for the comment. I ended up purchasing a smaller Kontakt keyboard. Now I just need to connect the two.
Yousef - Do you do tutorials/training? If not, do you know someone who does. This is for the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2. Thanks.

All this material must be out dated. Nothing works like you say it will. Couple more hours and I'm demanding a refund. Impossible
The first 8.5 minutes are all about how to buy and install it. Should have been a separate video, or at the minimum there should have been timestamps.

This is why I don’t use kontakt. Plus it’s high latency compared to other VST’s.
Why is your hair like that
