Hey Melissa. Your videos are great! I was wondering if you could explain the difference between climate concierge and auto climate controls? I can't find the difference for the life of me!! 😬
You bet! Auto is for fan features only. On newer models it will include, fan speed, air flow mode, and outside/recirculating air. Climate Concierge turns all climate features into Auto, nit just fan features. So, all fan features and seat and steering wheel climate features will on be set to automatically operate. The AC compressor is also automatically controlled on many newer models, and it has additional settings in the main setting menu. I hope this helps. Thanks for being here!
Melissa this is my first video of yours I have seen and it is fantastic, very thorough, and clear. I have 2017 ES300h and thought I had tried everything to “be in charge” of the A/C compressor without having to go into the climate menu. The tip you showed works perfectly. A question please… is it better for the compressor and system to leave it in Auto A/C On? I live in central Ohio so the temps are from the 90’s sometimes to single digits sometimes. Thanks for you help Melissa and I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Hi! Thanks so much for tuning in with me to learn more about your Lexus. From the Lexus technicians I've spoken with, they have explained to me that with the new systems on cars today, you really don't have to turn off the AC compressor. It works more like an HVAC in your home where it is working to condition the air and not just cool it. Growing up we were told to turn off the climate control before turning off the car and you don't even have to do that any more. Lots of great advancements. So you can leave it in auto and let the car chose what it needs. Thanks for your great question.
@@NorthsideLexus Melissa my goodness thank you for the excellent reply! Northside Lexus and its customers are certainly fortunate to have you. Do you have concierge A/C in the USA, I have it on my ES300H 1 press of the button does it all, this system seems a little tricky to set up or is this system not available on ES models, again enjoying your tutorials.
Hi @Scud! The Climate Concierge feature is on the LS and LX here. Not as common to find it on an ES or RX, it is available, but I don't get to see many with it. There aren't any customizations that apply to it in Personalized Settings, but there might be some that a Technician can adjust with the computer. What I love about Concierge is that it does more than just register the air temperature. It can access the surface temperature of passengers and detect hot spots near windows. Its amazing! I'm one of those crazy people who like to have the AC on and the seat heaters to help my back so Concierge and even Auto and I don't agree on my settings LOL :) Thanks so much for sticking with my channel. I'm so glad you like the content!
I have a MY24 ES 300h Luxury Line (that's a trim level in Germany which is slightly above the Ultra Luxury in the US). The most annoying thing for me is the fan periodically kicking in when the A/C is running. The ES Hybrid is such a nice quiet car that this fan is destroying it a bit when standing at a traffic light or going slow for a short time. Is there any possibility to prevent the system from turning the fan on for a short time or operating it slower/less noisy? Some dealer customizable setting or something? A nice solution would be in general: When the car is going 20mph or faster it can turn the fan back on or when you are standing for to long and the system has to turn on to not get the temperature too high. But when you stand just for a little bit it should pause the operation just for one or two minutes. You can disable the A/C as shown in the video but this defeats the purpose of a automatic and comfortable system. It would be unfortunate if this would be the only solution for this.
Thanks for this video. And how to disable AC compressor 5 minutes before end of driving without disabling fans and going into display climate settings (I'm assuming driving with navigation). Any shortcut how to do this without loosing focus too much during driving?
Hi! What model and year is your Lexus? There is usually an AC button or soft button available, but there are some models that have the AC compressor button deeper in the Climate menu because most newer vehicle systems don't require you to turn the compressor off before turning the vehicle off any longer.

Make sure Climate Concierge is not activated. 3. Make sure Eco Heat and Cool is turned Off. 4. My car is rx330 04 model
Hi, my es250 AC mode recently switched to AUTO when I start my car. And it takes 2 mins to switch to AC. Is there any way to change that mode directly to AC if I start the car?
Hi! That seems odd, but there are a few things that can impact the climate settings: 1. make sure you are using your same key fob, the car remembers the key. 2. Make sure Climate Concierge is not activated. 3. Make sure Eco Heat and Cool is turned Off. 4. If your ES has Lexus Interface, make sure your Drive Profile is active on the car, before making these customizations so they are remembered with your Lexus Driver Profile. If that doesn't resolve it, I would have a Technician look into it for you at your Lexus dealership.
Thanks for the reply. Will try figure it out
