He got his leg cut 99% in half, his spine broken, and this man still didnt give up. He earned his win 100%, and the mans a damn hero! Great video! I like the documentary styling!
Cheers Flaya. I made this during august last year and it’s my personal favourite video I’ve ever made in 8 years on RUclips. I’m glad you enjoyed it too. It’s one of those stories that just makes me pinch myself. He really had to deal with everything that could possibly go wrong. Just unreal that this actually happened. He’s an absolute legend.
@@thelostmediapodcast Yea and thankfully he ended up living a great life after! I always worry hearing stories start like this one did because my faith in people has been tainted, but this was a solid wholesome breath of fresh air!
Damn! This is a wild ass story! The dude had his leg almost cut off, almost paralyzed, but STILL got that gold medal. Despite the conditions and circumstances, dude earned it. What a legend
Bradbury is an absolute champion and the personification of someone who never gives up despite the odds being heavily stacked against him. I had a bit of a giggle that his number in the final was "300" though!
This is ten percent luck Twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure Fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember his name
He doesn't need his name up in lights He just wants to be heard whether it's the beat or the mic He feels so unlike everybody else, alone In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him But fuck 'em, he knows the code, it's not about the salary It's about reality and making some noise Making a story, making sure his clique stays up That means when he puts it down, Tak's pickin' it up
People say he wasn't the best in that race but if you can't even stay on your feet how can you be the best? He was the best on the day it counted and that's all that matters.
This is not the luckiest medal ever its the smartest medal ever! He was the hardest worker, who used a very smart strategy to try to get a medal among younger/faster scaters.
What luck ! it was all a carefully planned strategy to take advantage of the other skaters form. Coolest thing was watching them bitch & complain after the race and wanting a do-over.
Wasn't Bradburys fault that all the other racers took each other out, he wasn't involved in that. But he was first across the line, and that's a Gold medal
I hope someone can tell him on behalf of me. My response to the boo reception you received for winning your last shot and cheering for the winner as they did, i respond on behalf of all Aussies 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 winners are grinners and the first loser crossed the line on his knees 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Go Australia 🇦🇺
We love you Steven, you are our hero..❤
What a wonderful and heartwarming story. He has really deserved this win more than any other.
Absolutely right! Thanks for watching
Not luck - he worked very hard over many years to get into that position - even suffering an almost career ending injury - persistence pays
Fascinating documentary! Incredibly well put together, congrats :)

Great work Sam, now we just need the internet to find that missing footage...
Thank you alex! I willing to bet that missing footage won’t be found anytime soon but we can always hope :) cheers for watching
Bradbury was, in fact, booed by the Salt Lake City crowd who were present in the arena to witness his win.
What??! They would’ve wanted a redo of the race so their little golden boy ohno could get his gold.

I'm from the USA and think Bradbury is one of the coolest olympians ever
@8:50 quarter final
@10:38 semi final
@12:20 gold medal final
RUclips has blocked this video.
Still works on my end! It is demonetised though. Only took me 40 hours to make it so no big deal if it is blocked…. 😢
