This is a review video about my Bajaj Pulsar 220, Fastest Indian. I have knocked more than 2Lakh kms on this bike and so had to share my experience and honest review. Being a bike enthusiast, it is important to have a connect with the bike, if we don't connect with our bike we wont live them.

How to fix fairing vibration?
Hi Shubham, check for ur Fastening Washers, they must have grown old replace them with new rubber washers. Just in case if ur fairing skeleton has changed its geometry then u might have to fix it first.
If it doesn’t stop with that also then try this Desi Jugad. ‘In any spare part stores ask for Rubber tikli (this is generally used for auto rickshaws.) fix them in between ur fairing and the skeleton & / or between ur tank and the fairing.

6:00 you got the right point.. since it has been launched, pulsar provides a lot of power delivery directly to the riders.. so it's our responsibility to know our personal limits to control the machine.. that's why KTM have introduced rpm lock sensor to maintain their legacy... Which we can easily observe in Pulsar ns200 and the Duke 200..

Excellent video. Bro I am going to buy a new bike in amonth or so. I was going to buy a larger bike of 300-400 cc but due to some budget constraints i have to settle within 1.4 -1.5 lakh on road. My primary purpose is long distance touring, including mountains and the only options are fz25, 220 f and ns 200. (I don't like rtr) Presently I am tilting towards 220 f, although it is an old engine and has vibrations, but still. NS is high revving and is made for speed. I only cruise around 90kmph but for long distances.. Do you think this bike will give me 4-5 years of good touring experience? Most people will say fz 25 but I'm going to buy riding gear ( and probably a fatter tyre) by saving the cost as fz is 10k more. I like this more anyway.

Genuine review😍I also have Pulsar 220F...2011 model ..at present it is in good condition...but how much it will.cost for me to repaint the engine and give a proper service to my bike..
thanks for writing, the paint job should be done in approx 5000 to 7000 depending on the quality of paint you use. a detailed major service should cost you another 4000 to 5000 max replacing the important spares from the engine

Have you replaced the stock KBX brake callipers? The first carb version Pulsar 220 KBX brakes were crap. I got them replaced with newer Bybre model. The best thing about owning 220 is that you can upgrade to newer model parts.

Nice review, we usually don't see bikes beyond 2 lakh kms on Indian roads.
May I know how frequently you changed engine oil, as I read on few articles if you ride in city traffic with lot of gear changes and fast accelerations then even for full synthetic best to change at 4000-5000kms to enhance engine life and not 8-10,000kms which is most them replace for full synthetic oils. What do you think?
Also are there any additives which will make engine more smoother. I own a Rtr200 race edition.

Well about engine oil. I use to replace it every 3000KM with a normal 15W50 or 20W40.
Idly a fully synthetic is suppose to be put in High performance Bikes since the compression ratio is very high. Gear shifting at lower Rpm’s is recommended increases engine life.
Additive - you can use Polytron, has good results

Engine rebuild karenge kuch din baad matlam sare engine spares parts purchase karke gharme rakkha hai. Average milega 40kmpl yeh fixed ho gaya hai lekin kaise yeh malum nahi.

yes i, my self did gj 11 to rj, hr, pb, ch, hp, uk, up and back to gj 11 almost 5000 kms with pillion with *0* extra maintenance.

Please tell me how to fix rough ride on pulsar 220. Before it used to be very good but now you can feel bumps. I have old tires and rear suspension has been changed recently.

Very nice, bhai. I love my golden stickered last launch in 2013. I've suddenly had replacement and, I'm riding it after years. 12000+ is the reading, incredible acceleration, and I think I've mastered braking. Btw, very nice video. Rock on! 😀
Hello bhai....you told u completed 2l kilometre. ..can u tell me how often one should rebuild the engine ??...if I am not wrong u rebuilt this 220 ...bt how many time....if you say.....cause I have a 220 ...n want to know more about it....my 220 is bs3...I have brought it in 2017....maybe it is 2013 model... basically I want to know from u have you rebuilt your 220...?? 220 's brakes are very good but the soft suspension makes the front dive that's people crash including me

You can go for K&N or Piper Cross. there are more options which may cost you a lil more as compared to the earlier ones.

I have a Bike of HONDA CB Twister 110CC of 2010 Model. Up till today I have Ride approx. 1,75,840Km in 12Year Without any Kind of Engine work. If i have planned to ride a bike more than 550Km in 12hrs. I did it without any kind of Confusion.

It's always great to see such heights of achievements in a single motorcycle. Congrats brother. I've a couple of queries:
1. I'm 6ft and weighing around 100kgs, how comfortable is this for me? I have taken a short test ride, wherein I've noted a small lean towards handlebar, will it be uncomfortable for long drives?
2. How much is the maintenance cost?
3. Any chain noise issues?

1. For your height & weight this bike should not have any issues, Yash had been using this bike and have never received any complaints of uncomfortable posture or lack of pull. (Latest update must have got a lil lean on the posture to give it a sportier feel; however u can install handle bar raisers as per ur comfort.
2. A single major service with oil oil filter replacement should cost u around 1500 to 1800
3. Chain noise is quite common once ur chain sprocket is wearing out, keep proper chain setting and clean and lube chain on time. Shall help maintaining sprockets health

My first bike is pulsar 180 before purchasing it I thought to buy 220 since it's my first bike from 100cc I thought it ll be more power at this beginning stage now I always think to sell it and buy a duke. But when the moment I go and remove that bike cover start it I tell to myself I am not selling this. First bike is love ❤ 😍
mene 2016 pulsar 220 f liya hai 55k main but uske spark plugs bhot jald khrab ho rahe hain aur tank me jung aa raha hai wht i have to do
Prasad Bane hi, the tank problem u mentioned is with most of pulsar owner since the 220 fuel tank lid has never been effected enough to keep the water out during rains. For that u will have to clean ur tank and apply antitrust liquids. U can find many videos on YT regarding this. Spark plugs, yes. U have to periodically keep cleaning them or changing them. 55k kms is a good number for ur spark plug to last

Hi Girish. Well the 220 is a twin spark technology where as the NS200 comes with a triple spark plug technology and pushes out 4 more HP compared to 220. Mileage of both bikes is almost similar. Now u gotta figure which bikes convinces u in matters of looks and comfort, go ahead and pick that.

I am planning to buy a bike but these days bikes are overpriced even if you look at 160 cc vehicles.
Please suggest me a bike under 1.5L. I am not much of a rider, it is going be to my first bike. Also I don't have a lot of experience with bikes although I have rode my friends bikes. I am going to use the vehicle for city use only most probably office commutes and average should also be good.
Hi Harshal thanks for writing. I actually forgot to mention the mileage. It strikes me post editing. Well, my bike gives me around 35 in city and more than 40 on highways. My gear transmission is around 3.5K RPM.
If you planning for a commuter bike and have an average height of around 5.5 or above can go for Yamaha FZ or New Apache RTR 160 (I would recommend Apache over FZ) but looks and comfort could be subjective.

bro i own a 2014 model 220 in streets nrml home condition bike is giving me mileage of 18 to 20 and on road city roads 25 i dont know why i m getting such low mileage even i use motul 20w50 do u know wht is the issue should i change the carbureator??

Could you please let me know that which bulb you use in high beam in pulsar 220? Mine is 2010 model. After changing new bulb in high beam socket, the beam is not focused and powerful. Please suggest.
I use a 60w halogen bulb.

You can go for 15W 50 or 20W 50 for the bike. I prefer Motul 15W 50 for my bike.

Check for oil Gasket if that’s leaking properly. Try changing the engine gaskets. If your silencer throws white smoke than yes u may have to change the head blocks. Check for pistons health before u change it
