    Means testing penalizes those who sacrificed, lived a life of frugality, and saved for retirement, while subsidizing those who spent everything they earned and saved nothing.

      Remember too that we took the hit back in the 80's when Social Security was last "fixed" higher tax rates etc. and the FRA for us was moved up 2 years.

      Not to mention hitting us with Irma charges for the more you make the more they reduce your Social Security

    Around 35.25 you stated that a couple with 95,000 of social security income is 100% tax free. This is incorrect.

      You could have $100,000 in SS and no other income Federal tax would be $0

      @@Satjr35031 In that case, Provisional income is 50k, which makes 85% of your SS income taxable.
