I've seen (at least three different) very easy tweaks in China and India^^ Of course I recommend getting a valid license as it is semi-legal to renew the trial endlessly! Latest when programming for industry getting a license is not too expensive and worth every cent

Thanks for your reply below. I have bought the s7- 1200 starter kit. Everything have run nicely but I cannot drag and drop the license. I use the USB stick. In ALM it shows up, but I cannot drag it. Also I cannot copy, or cut etc. The only thing it shows when right clicking is: "Select All" , "Reverse Selection" and "Update". I have tried all of them with no luck. Siemens industri online support does have an question like it, but with no help. I have tried other youtube videos, but with no luck. Hope you know some how to overcome this.

They have a lot of good tutorials directly integrated to the full version of FluidSIM. Dear Sir, I transferred the License from the Siemens USB Floating License to my PC by using the Automation License Manager software but in this software there are two License now ( Single/Trail and Floating/Unlimited) and when I open the TIA Portal (V15.1) software it say that (License 'STEP 7 Basic' was not found) so I cannot choose a CPU and working on the TIA Portal Could you please tell me how to remove the Trail License and keep only the Floating one ? The "Trial" license should not get in your way. It seems a bit strange that your PC cannot access the license even though the license manager sees it. The only hint I have is this: ALWAYS run TIA portal with "Administrative Rights" (right click -> "Run as Administrator")... it could possibly be that TIA portal can not access the license because of insufficient rights.

"Simulation" is trying to run the code on your PC without considering PLC hardware (Timing, Interrupts, Voltages,...) "Emulation" is isolating a part of your PC that runs exactly like a PLC for the emulation, so it is "copying" the real behaviour
Great informations and comes around many issues. I have one question. Because these files are very large, I would like to dele everything that will not harm the program. I think amoung others about the files that is downloaded at first and so on. Hope you know what I mean. Thanks for this video.
The files downloaded are basically only an archive, when you run them their contents are unpacked into the directory that shows up when you run the downloaded file. After installation it is safe to delete the downloaded files and also the unpacked files, as they were only neccessary for installation and are not important for running the program after installation

Hello Victor! Depending on the PLC you want to simulate TIA has two options: 1. S7-300/400 - Pre-Installed, all you have to do is select the PLC from the project tree and on the command menu on top you find "start simulation"... this will run a simulated PLC 2. S7-1200/1500 - You need to download "PLC-SIM 1200/1500". Then you can also run the simulation using "start simulation". That means you only installed "Startdrive"... you have to install "STEP7" in the version that you want (which is kind of a synonym for TIA Portal). You can find the download links for those in the description of the video

Hi Masoud! As far as I know it is not build for 32bit... you could use a VM, that is what a lot of people do. But setting that up is a big deal on it's own

I have found the solution. I had to dobble click the file in ALM and then drag the little icon at the very left. Then everything went smoothly.
Good that you found that out... seems strange to me, but every software has it's issues sometimes😅

Usually it's worth having an EPS (Emergency Power System)... there are pretty solid prebuild solutions available
Dear Sir,
I transferred the License from the Siemens USB Floating License to my PC by using the Automation License Manager software but in this software there are two License now ( Single/Trail and Floating/Unlimited) and when I open the TIA Portal (V15.1) software it say that (License 'STEP 7 Basic' was not found) so I cannot choose a CPU and working on the TIA Portal
Could you please tell me how to remove the Trail License and keep only the Floating one ?

The "Trial" license should not get in your way. It seems a bit strange that your PC cannot access the license even though the license manager sees it.
The only hint I have is this: ALWAYS run TIA portal with "Administrative Rights" (right click -> "Run as Administrator")... it could possibly be that TIA portal can not access the license because of insufficient rights.

Kannste ohne Probleme übertragen, einziger Unterschied zwischen Trial und Voll ist das du nur 21 Tage Trial hast

by the way... My TIA already works but I have a problem when i try to simulate the HMI nothing happens. No simulator will appear. But when i simulate my PLC controller to test my ladder program it is OK. Only the problem is when making HMI screen program. When i simulate nothing happens.

"Simulation" is trying to run the code on your PC without considering PLC hardware (Timing, Interrupts, Voltages,...)
"Emulation" is isolating a part of your PC that runs exactly like a PLC for the emulation, so it is "copying" the real behaviour

Great informations and comes around many issues. I have one question. Because these files are very large, I would like to dele everything that will not harm the program. I think amoung others about the files that is downloaded at first and so on. Hope you know what I mean. Thanks for this video.
The files downloaded are basically only an archive, when you run them their contents are unpacked into the directory that shows up when you run the downloaded file. After installation it is safe to delete the downloaded files and also the unpacked files, as they were only neccessary for installation and are not important for running the program after installation

Hello Victor! Depending on the PLC you want to simulate TIA has two options:
1. S7-300/400 - Pre-Installed, all you have to do is select the PLC from the project tree and on the command menu on top you find "start simulation"... this will run a simulated PLC

Hello sir, I have installed TIA software and my new laptop software has been installed successfully. Then open TIA and found only the drive will add my project . So no option to add any PLC in my new project. So sir how to fix this issue ????
That means you only installed "Startdrive"... you have to install "STEP7" in the version that you want (which is kind of a synonym for TIA Portal).

Hi Haythem! Well the 21 days is for free, after that you would have to buy the software... there are ways to reset the demo time, but those are not legal and I won't use/show them 🤐

As far as I know it is not build for 32bit... you could use a VM, that is what a lot of people do. But setting that up is a big deal on it's own
