This is my first car and still is. I've owned it since 2020, it's a 2015 model with the 2.0L turbo and is very well equiped. Drive this car kinda hard, and the durability is actually insane. still have stock calipers on the front, sitting at 130k KMs. had a few censors to replace, but other than that, it's very reliable. oh, and that 250hp and 260lb-ft of torque is pretty decent. actually had lots of friends impressed by the power of this car.
@@madhavakulkarni4299 As I said 5 months ago, I drive a lot and I’m a little bit hard on my gas pedal, more than the average if you ask me. Normally I’m at 14-15L/100km on average, but like I said, I’m clearly not an exemple. The buick I have was my dad’s car before, and it averaged around 10-12L/100km when he used it
I bought a 2016 Verano Sport, found it used in Nov 2018, its quite and comfortable, mine has heated seats, blue tooth and GPS. it had 20K miles on it, and I bought it. Have taken trips in it last year to Yosemite, Palm Springs Area , and Grants Pass, Oregon rides very comfortable and seats were fine
@@eduardomendoza4771 I think the sport package came well equipped. I have pretty much everything except leather ( I didn't want it) and the lane warning thing. Everything else is on it including heated seats and navigation/ Bluetooth. So its pretty loaded
@@eduardomendoza4771 I did find out since I answered you, lost my key in the house somewhere and went to the dealer and got a new one and found out the car has remote start LOL, I did eventually find the old key but love the remote start and I would have never known if I hadn't gotten the new key
i just bought a 2013 model this weekend. best car ive ever owned! its quiet relaxing and comfortable with plenty get up and go power. ive owned 2 buicks in the past. had a 1995 buick park avenue it had 500 thousand miles and still ran like a champ. i sold it when the ac went out on it. wish i didnt now. chevy altho gm is like a taco bell, whereas a buick is like an upscale mexican restaurant. GM adds more goodness and care and oversight to them thats why they last so long over other GM's
This is an Opel Astra with added 'bells and whistles'(for the American market).A good car,but in Europe, the Astra does not sell in huge voliums and owners, trying to sell their Astra to 2nd hand market might go through 'hard times' doing so
Very interesting review but in reality this is a bargain of a car now since GM has very good discounts lately. You were a little too harsh I think in your opinion of the interior since I find it well made w/very nice materials and nicely laid out. I do believe this Verano is based on an Opel from Germany and GM 'Americanized' it for NA taste. I also think this year is the last model year for this Verano.
they did a 17.I have one, a 16 , love it and it is based off the Opal with a Buick body and sound insulation . I was looking for a used Cadillac ATS, and it was a little more than I wanted to spend, so moved to looking at Verano's and found this low miles Buick(20K) on in Nov 2018 at a car lot a mile from my house. its a Sport Model so it has the special wheels and tires
I didn't pay 35k for the turbo model? And it had way more options then the Acura which I was also contemplating. Very fast car. I agree with the interior is on the cheap side.
Looking to Replace a 2008 and This one is pretty Good.. preferr a straight 2.5 straight 4 or a Vy wiht out that Turbo baloney.. they increase the Maintenance.. Also? PLEASE Wear more appropiate Clothers..A Sportscoat and white Shirt would be nicer..Wearing a glorified TShirt without sleeves is tacky..Very few 'Guy" like you Look, would be having the $ to buy a newer car ..
Any plans on testing any of the new GM cars? I know this is a "2016" car but it is based of GM of yesteryear and doesn't have any of the modern GM interior designs or build quality.
+William Stewart i am amateur reviewer, I get whatever vehicules Ross gets. for GM we should be getting Volt though I would certainly like to test the new Cruze and Camaro. Cheers.
nice. i like the veranos, and buick in general. they atleast try to make their interiors look legit. only dissapointment is the same features exist 3 brands later
GM is not the brand I think of when I want a car that will last long. Their good while their new and their design is ok but in the real world, I'd pass on purchasing a GM vehicle.

Thanks for sharing your experience.. I’m shopping for used Buicks. May I know what’s the fuel efficiency you’re getting from your car?

Great review. Nice car. Seems well made. Good quality. Rated high by actual owners and testers. Not tire kickers like William.
thx for the props
The interior looks good to me 🤷🏾♂️

How many miles do they usually last for ?
This was my first car
Good choice

you are right, my look sucks, thx for watching!
lol
It's a very heavy quality car with old power train tech, except the 2.0t.
+smonkey001 yup
Just got one Friday and I’m trying to figure out how to put gas in it…. It’ll need it soon 😂 at myself for not knowing

Christopher Car Reviews I look forward to those future reviews, nice work.
how is noise cancellation? also led lights standard?
I did not research to see if it had this feature, but when I drove, it was very quiet, especially on highway. no clue if led comes standard
Nice intro.
thx!
wow, looks the same as the 2013 verano.... American brands zzz....
would u recommend this?
+Jay Yavid for babyboomer, sure
nice. i like the veranos, and buick in general. they atleast try to make their interiors look legit. only dissapointment is the same features exist 3 brands later
it is a good car for the price, smooth quiet ride
this is an Opel Astra j sedan and they ruin it with this ugly Buick look
😤

+Navin Ramrup for sure, they are not japanese
Christopher Car Reviews Japanese vehicles aren't what they used to be... Sorry to burst your bubble.
You're not bursting my bubble, I know that they've changed but still Japanese cars are better in terms of quality and low-cost ownership.
Buick is behind only toyota and lexus for reliability... lol
I had an 88 GM steel tank I drove happily till 2016, 300,000 miles.
