How to measure up and fit a Venetian blind

Before you start, decide if you want your venetian blind inside or outside the recess. If its outside, the ideally the blind should overlap the edge of the recess by 75mm top and bottom. If you want to fit it inside the recess then you may need to cut the blind down, this is only possible with a metal venetian.
