The jist of the scene is that a romatic partner can be and should be a close friend, one of your best friends. Working together towards a deeper conenction with each other, respecting each others values, paing atention to each other needs and little pleasures, taking care of each other will form a bond that no distance, no time, no other worldy apparent differences cand brake. Being loyal and taking care of each other despite the normal, odd arguments and building a sanctuary for yourselves despite the pressures of this world, is the only way towards a harmonious relationship.
