Though some factual mistakes. VC shukla was not in vipaksha he was in congress that time. And it was said that Zail Singh had called VC shukla. Vidya bhaiya, as he was popularly known in our area (Raipur and CG) was said to be having a hold over 287 MPs. And Gyani Jail Singh wanted to make him the PM. That’s why later Rajiv Gandhi expelled VP singh and others due to Bofors allegation, he also expelled VC Shukla alongwith others. Vidya bhaiya had confided all this to very close people in Raipur.

Rajiv Gandhi was not a fit candidate for PM post after mother's death.. Cong party had foolishly imposed him on PM post.
Congress policy was to promote non-Jatts for Sikh leadership ! Jatts were nearly 70 % of the total Sikh population and most of the rulers were Jatt Sikhs except Raja of Kapurthala , a Ahluwalia and a SIKH Misl leader a Ramgharia ! They planted and promoted a Hindu Nank Chand Malhotra as Sikh Tara Singh who REFUSED all the offers of political state/power before 1947 ! Both, Ahluwalia and Ramghrais were and are dedicated Sikhs but not so about Tara Singh a Hindu ! However, unity among Sikhs was essential but Congress leader Darbara Singh , a Jatt, didnit like a Ramgharia rising at the Centre , becoming Home Minister then President !
