We see Alpha control the Morphin Grid several times; it even forms a present with red and green Morphin Energy ribbons. 2. Richard gave a very heartfelt performance. You can't help BUT smile and sing along. 3. With there being no villains or monsters, Angel Grove can achieve SOME peace for once. Maybe the positive energy emanating from the Command Center is keeping the villains out.
