UCLA Junior RHP Trevor Bauer 15 Ks (vs. Oregon State)

- Bauer (6'2" 185 lbs. Hart High School, Valencia, CA) strikes out fifteen Beavers in a four-hit complete game loss to Oregon State. Despite his performance, Bauer would be out-dueled by Oregon State red shirt junior LHP Josh Osich, who would throw a no-hitter against the Bruins.
Pitching dominated the two-hour, nine minute game, with Bauer and Osich allowing a combined seven base runners on four hits and three walks, while striking out twenty eight.
Bauer's complete game would be his fourth in a row, and he'd move closer (399 K's) to USC's Seth Etherton (420 K's,1995-98) for third place on the PAC-10 career strikeouts list (behind Washington's Tim Lincecum 491; 2004-06 and USC's Rik Currier 449; 1998-01).
Steele Field at Jackie Robinson Stadium, Los Angeles, CA. April 30, 2011
Love that you can hear his dad in the crowd.
He’s a great coach himself
watch how all of bauer's pitches tend to come out of the same throwing lane. They all look like they're going to be up and in, but his curve breaks away at the last second when hitters think it's a fastball. If he threw his fastball away and low to hitters it would look completely different out of the hand. He learned this effective velocity stuff from Ron Wolforth and in my opinion it's why he has such an absurd strikeout rate, even with the plus stuff he has
Crazy that this was commented 8 years ago and now when he releases content this concept is all he talks about.
Ben you know your stuff
@@Wes-pq4pl This guy ended up founding Tread Athletics lol
what ever happened to this guy probably not much just curious
he’s a great pitcher for the reds, dunno if you’re being sarcastic or not 😂

Anyone here in 2020?
I love Trevor and his methods and strategy and the way he presents himself in today’s era. He’s a future legend hall of famer. Awesome bro 💯💪🏽
Nelson Alvarenga he has a good personality but he’s NOT a future HOFer lmao
@@JJYellowShorts you can predict the future? 🤔
I love his delivery; good flow and he generates a lot of arm speed.
Idk I have a feeling this guys gonna be big
This guy seems pretty good, I wonder if we’ll ever see him on the dodgers
beast TREVOR
@didoma73 'He hasn't changed his cap since he came to UCLA because, well, maybe because Lincecum also wears a years-old cap. "He is the pitcher I admire most," Bauer says.'
I don’t think he’ll make it the mlb
He's in the MLB and he's considered one of the best. What makes you think he wasn't gonna make it

@@leg-end_0631 The guy who made the original comment was joking.
He looks short. Did he get taller after college?
Can't wait to see him in the rotation. Great talent.
1:51 wtf was that sound that guy made in the background?
😭
Nice thing about him is that I don't think he'll have a lot of arm problems because he doesn't have a huge snap of his arm like a lot of pitchers (mark prior). I might worry about his shoulder however.
@didoma73 he doesnt really let his right arm dangle behind his back but he does get to the plate quick which helps his velocity and movement.
i like this guy a lot
byemaxii fair evaluation
I wonder how his relationship with women are
Dang he’s going from the wind up
I wonder what ever happened to this kid? Heard he's mopping up floors in a Trader Joe's
Some washed up RUclipsr giving velocity tips probably.
Dbacks rotation looks amazing with Skaggs, Bauer, and Jarrod Parker coming up to join Ian Kennedy (15 wins) and Daniel Hudson (12 wins)
Nick Ptak huh it’s interesting looking back on this in 2019
Huh. Skaggs is gone (RIP), Bauer is one of the best pitchers in the league, I’ve never even heard of Jarrod Parker, and forgot Kennedy and Hudson were starters
Well this kid turned out to be a bust only 300 million dollars and a mickey mouse cy young, not as good as this video shows he could've been
0:59 VELO MUSIC AHHHH
Good Dominican republic 💪💪💪💪
1:49 who goosed his dad behind home plate?
@LiquidSquall Nah. He's going to be like Nolan Ryan because he's taught the same things as Nolan Ryan by someone who's studied him. He throws, on average, 140 pitches per game because he trains that way and decelerates so well. Ron Wolforth is the pitching guy also.
Nothing like Nolan great logic behind your comment
Kid looks good. Can’t wait too see him in a Reds Uniform!
@yojaun384 Only Trevor Bauer does. He invented it.
HE LOST???? WTF
@MrPacoStarr thats a change up..
@MrPacoStarr how do you throw a revers slider?
It is not a reverse slider, it's a changeup
TMINUS 24 HOURS!
so nasty...
@ 2:48, that's the reverse slider!
