They’re likely counting ES as the chase pack in some twisted way. Sure Rev is right, the value closely matches what you are paying but you have to remember that you are still paying $11 or so for ES… I guarantee you that MJH paid about $2.75 (roughly wholesale) for each of those packs or possibly even less if they can source directly from the Pokemon company itself [Read: They become a distributor themselves]! Distributors only pay about $1.50 or so per pack FYI. Honestly distributors should be cut out of the mix so stores can directly purchase from TPCI and we could go back to having $2.99 packs! It’s stupid and unnecessary (at least in the card market) to have to pay up charges 2-3 times what TPCI is selling them for, to distributors>stores that is. Obviously TPCI makes bank when they have people buy directly from them and they’re still charging $5 a pop on their site…
Pretty sure they added the insert to the box, because I’ve seen these mystery boxes in Walmart where the bottom of the plastic has been sliced open. Then someone can easily just push on the bottom of the box to either see what is inside, or remove the packs.

Contrary to popular belief, with a good scale, you can still weigh out SOME packs. You can't weigh out every pack with a hit. But certain hits you can weigh out with high success rate. I just about guarantee these evolving skies packs are weighed and filtered so that the "less likely" hit weight is what's put into these boxes

The rest I split into "least likely" and "most likely". 18x "Least likely" packs- 1 IR and 1 Ultra rare 15x "Most likely" packs- 2 IRs and 7 double rares 3x "Banger" packs- 1 hyper rare, 1 SIR I successfully weighed out 85% of the hits. I could have sold 18 loose packs that only had 2 pulls. And kept the other 18 packs with 11 pulls inside. 60% of the packs i weighed out as "likely" really did have hits. I also successfully weighed out the SIR and hyper rare out of a 2nd paldea evolved Booster Box. So, while there is no way of knowing 100%- you can definitely weigh out packs with significantly more success than not. So anyone who says you can't is misinformed. Moral of the story- don't buy mystery boxes... Bc people with less integrity are stuffing them with low hit rate packs while keeping most the pulls for themselves. 👍
I found a Moonbreon in one of these mystery boxes. So, at the very least, they aren't filtering out the biggest hits - if they are doing any filtering.

Evolving Skies is literally a trap for early poké collectors, it bribes you with the insane prices of the countless alt arts when the pull rates are absolutely terrible.

I bought a couple of these just recently and got Evolving Skies, Shining Fates and Celebrations in every box, so I think they are at least better than some iterations of these.
One time my girlfriend's cousin pulled a Platinum Arceus pack from a Mystery Power box... and he had the audacity to be upset about it. Even though he got a foil Arceus card from that pack and everything. Ever since then I have never seen anyone get a chase pack in any form of mystery box. But don't lose hope, because apparently chase packs are actually out there...
I opened like 4 evolving skies booster boxes when the set dropped looking for moonbreon never got it and seeing the cost for boosterboxes now i wish i would have held on to them.
I'd love to open a mystery box some time but here in Greece you can't find any stores selling sadly, and ordering from europe has a lot in transfer fees. P.S. I saw the prices you told about packs at the begining and was shocked here you can't find any pack cheaper tha 5 euros and evolving skies go for 20 dollars if you can find
Twilight masquerade box is cool. I bought one of your 4.0 rev packs, got a green, in it was a 151, first ever I’d opened, got the special illustration rare Charizard. Score!
I bought 12 and didnt get a single chase pack. Every one had a Evo Skies though so that explains the price increase on ES booster boxes the last few months.
I purchased 1 of these from walmart the packs were fire. And i got a dragon majesty pack wich absolutely blew my mind i never excpected to get a older pack.
Everybody that wants him to do complete master sets of Pokémon sets until he finishes like he used to do please give us a thumbs up

my guess is that on the sword and shield they weigh the packs and put just light packs in and one heavy pack so its not sus
