2015-2016 was some of the best years to be a Star Wars fan. Movies back in theatres, merch, Celebrations. Everyone was happy and waiting to see Luke in 2017 😂
That last ROTS teaser was amazing but man The Force Awakens Episode 7 trailer is one of the best trailers ever. I literally just got goosebumps now watching it with you guys!!!!!! Man i love Star Wars!
To answer your movie prequel question at the time, Godfather II (1974) was considered a prequel and sequel at the same time. For someone who is classified as "OG" (....Thanx Konnor! LOL!), watching all the prequel trailers on release was very exhilarating! The hype! The dramatization books before movie release! The products! The TOYS!! When seeing R2 flying made me immediately flash to the Classic Marvel comic from the 80s where R2 & 3PO are tasked of running a power cord from one ship to another in space. 3PO was riding R2 holding the cord while R2 was flying. When it comes to the OT, all we had were 3 TV stations (ABC, CBS, & NBC....Okay, can't forget PBS, but they don't play movie trailers). No cable. So we had movie theaters, TV, and, most important, word of mouth to get hyped about Star Wars. I vaguely remember watching the movie late summer of '77, starting 3rd grade, and swearing up and down to my classmates that the hairy Wookiee's name is "Cookie"..... I definitely remember watching the re-release of SW in a drive-in in Indiana in August of '79, but to the surprise to all the attendees they had a quick teaser preview of TESB. I. WAS. STOKED!! Especially reading in SW font blue "Coming in Spring 1980" at the end of the trailer.
I was SO excited for TESB that I was wearing out the Time magazine that dedicated quite a lot of pages showing pictures of the upcoming movie. TESB & ROTJ was viewed in theaters in Fort Wayne. I also remember that my family was invited to some birthday party and they lived rurally in the countyside and the party was going on at the same time that Siskel & Ebert's At The Movies were dedicating a whole episode to review and talk about ROTJ prior to release. I was GLUED to that TV set CONSTANTLY adjusting the rabbit ears to get a somewhat decent signal, but there was A LOT of frustrating static or a "snowy" picture due to reception. Seeing the speeder bikes going through the trees in poor reception was so exciting!!
I remember watching The Making of Star Wars when it initially aired on TV (70s). It showed Ben Burtt walking around with a mic and recorder. One particular scene showed him clamping his mic to an angled support cable that was keeping a telephone pole straight. He would strike the cable with either a wrench or something metal and record the sound. In the playback, you can hear the strike and the sound travelling up the cable.
By the way Kathleen Kennedy tried to get Solo pushed back to December of 2018, but Bob Iger said no. Bob Iger talks about this in his book. Says Kathleen had the right idea and they should have had it pushed back.
Do you think there is a world where the sequel trilogy gets "remade" almost like a zynder cut kinda thing or maybe all new writers and directors. Where its one person or group of people that have a single vision on how the story is told from start to finish. I like the sequels as a whole but I do have some things I dislike about them and I was shocked when I heard the interview with Adam Driver saying Kylo's entire character arc was changed as the movies were being made
I think there’s a small possibility we get a Sequel Trilogy “special edition” release at some point with some deleted scenes added and stuff like that but I just don’t see. World where they completely overhaul the story. Sad that they didn’t have a plan
Sequels have the best Trailers by far compared to any of the original or prequels. Maybe one of the ROTS trailers are better than some or one of the Sequels. Even Rogue Ones trailers were all better. All those years later and the Disney money, could do the trailers but they couldn’t figure out a simple plan of what they wanted to do with the sequels.
Would you like to see a Part 2 with all the SHOWS?? Let us know 👇
Sure!! See if there are TV spots/trailers for the Ewok Adventures, if you want to dig further in the trailer-dom.

The final trailer for TLJ got me so hyped for that movie. It looked like it was going to be epic.
