I honestly think Katie is transforming into your mum, almost like your mum is showing everyone she’s living on through Katie... I don’t really know what it is but in this last year Katie has really started to look like your mum & now she’s having parts of your mums house in hers... people always say “oh she will live on” to comfort people when they grieve, but I just think your mum is REALLY living on... it’s so bittersweet because obviously you would rather her be there in the flesh but I think it’s so lovely that your mums spirit glows within your family. 🤍 bit of a rant but I’ve really been thinking about it whenever I see anything you post / vlog

Hi Kate, I just wanted to say what a strong, inspirational woman you’re. In my full time jobs I work with adults who have learning disabilities ranging from Autism, schizophrenia and ADHD, all of them will never get the experience of having a job, a family of their own, a home or drive a car. But that doesn’t hold them back from living their lives, yes it can be challenging sometimes but they’re such strong minded people, which sometimes people can never see, like helping them make a cup of tea independently or going out into community! I learn from them every day & they motivate me to keep going and never give up. I have got my own home. Due to sadly losing my dad who I miss everyday. But I like to think he is looking down on me with the proudest smile on his face. Just like your mum is looking down on you and Ellie, she would be proud of you both❤️
I’m so pleased for Katie she really deserves this and will flourish in her own space, she is so mature and so independent for some one her age, my only concern would have been that she is so kind hearted that horrible people could potentially take advantage of that BUT you would never let that happen and being that kind hearted is so special so I hope she never changes. You’ve been so strong with everything and basically been a second mum to Katie for a long time now, you’re so lucky to have each other, you have a bond like no other. ♥️

My son has ASD and this video has made me feel so so hopeful for the future! He has been at a special needs school from he was 4 but we are hopeful for him attending mainstream for secondary next year. Seeing Katie do this and be so independent gives me so much hope that my little man will be able to live his life as independently as her! Just wanted to say how happy I am for Katie for taking such a big step... I didn’t think I could ever feel this happy for someone I have never even met. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all. I’m 18 and my mum died exactly a year ago this week and hearing you talk about saying goodbye to your mums house / childhood home made me emotional because i know that time will be coming for me soon too. When my gran died I feel like I grieved for her house aswell as her all the memory’s made there all the years spent there it is horrible I kept going back to sort through things and the emptier it got the harder it got xxx
I feel exactly the same. My grandad passed away last year but I live in another country so every time that I have gone back It just feels more and more real. Xxx

My son has ASD and this video has made me feel so so hopeful for the future! He has been at a special needs school from he was 4 but we are hopeful for him attending mainstream for secondary next year. Seeing Katie do this and be so independent gives me so much hope that my little man will be able to live his life as independently as her! She is such a beautiful soul I’m sure you are all so immensely proud of her and how far she has come especially from the loss of your mum.
