I genuinely am starting to see a pattern here regarding Roblox becoming more greedy. We have seen that during The Hunt and The Classic, there was 2 paths with unlockable items, one free and one that requires Robux/money to get. That was probably the first time I have seen Roblox offer items during an event that have a price tag. Not only that, but we have noticed that Roblox kept increasing the fee for UGC creators to upload UGC items before Public UGC launched. Speaking of Public UGC, they released that update KNOWING many terrible things would happen. But they hardly did anything, because they know that they will get money from it anyway. Now, the base price for items has increased into the 3 digits range. This is just sad and terrible for users.

I managed to save up to like 1.111 robux with donation games, I got so happy until I got the disappointment of the price changes. Ended up not even wasting anything as well.
I’ve recently been seeing items fluctuate on the catalog, this explains greatly why roblox is just here for money, but doesn’t explain why they would do this as they are a platform mostly for kids... why introduce them to a subject targeted for older individuals and something they don’t even know exist yet? Most kids do not know how to manage money properly and have no clue why their favorite item went up 30 robux. Why have their robux currency be fluctuated on a broader market? After all it’s their choice and I do get it from their perspective but this is just ridiculous to say the least. 😔
Because at the end of the day, as a corporation they don’t have any regret or sympathy. They would rather take advantage of others with bad practices to boost themselves financially. I honestly understand partially. There is a lot more competition and imagine OG UGC makers competing with the flock of new people coming, now many of the items are just swinging with the price floor. It is still a negative for us as consumers since we get worse prices, but if you care about the artists then u can see a more plausible reason, yk at least they can stay and still be able to defend themselves. Either way, it is excessive and it screws items that are not worth that much like small accessories that add little to the outfit (for example, i had to remove a wheat from one of my non-bought outfits since it went from 35 up to 85, 3 times the price for the same small thing!)
There is no way this inflation is about demand and not to fill Roblox’s pockets. 2% inflation or lower is considered healthy, compared to the 24% we see here.
The only protest that could actually potentially get their attention would be a physical protest outside of the Roblox HQ, where people actually camp out there with signs and megaphones.

The moment that stuff costed more than a dollar was the moment I stopped buying things. I can understand some stuff costing more than 80 Robux, but when everything does, my only Robux income/spending will be from Premium payouts and UGC item sales. Another thing that angers me, albeit a less important thing in the grand scheme of things, is the old Motocross hats. Their price was part of their legacy, and now Motocross 77: The Sting can't be 77 Robux, Motocross 62: Fire can't be 62 Robux, etc. etc. etc. Since Roblox doesn't have to deal with their own marketplace fee of 30%, I could understand them increasing the prices of things that go below 30% of the active price floor, making the minimum for Roblox created head accessories become 26 Robux if rounding up or 25 if rounding down, but the fact that they're keeping the price floor the same for their own items is what ticks me off the most.

Even if we just get 10% of all the people that buy Robux to stop buying robux they will probably do something about it since corporations usually take every dollar in account. Those 10% of their revenue in Robux could have been used to cover the server upkeep costs which would now be unavailable.

Back in my day 80 robux buys you 1-3 outfits, now I cannot even buy a fuckin accessory without buying 2 dollar worth of robux (coming from a third world country it's already hard enough, it keeps getting harder.)
I managed to save up to like 1.111 robux with donation games, I got so happy until I got the disappointment of the price changes. Ended up not even wasting anything as well.

I’ve recently been seeing items fluctuate on the catalog, this explains greatly why roblox is just here for money, but doesn’t explain why they would do this as they are a platform mostly for kids... why introduce them to a subject targeted for older individuals and something they don’t even know exist yet? Most kids do not know how to manage money properly and have no clue why their favorite item went up 30 robux. Why have their robux currency be fluctuated on a broader market? After all it’s their choice and I do get it from their perspective but this is just ridiculous to say the least. 😔
Because at the end of the day, as a corporation they don’t have any regret or sympathy. They would rather take advantage of others with bad practices to boost themselves financially. They just care about themselves and the bank filling up.
It is very unfortunate and scummy but thats the world we live in. I hope one day corporations get treated the way we get treated. But that will probably never happen.

Roblox changed it 20 robux lower then they reverted it after youtubers said they fixed it honestly they're so vile.
i remember being able to make a whole couple outfits with just a few hundred robux, (think 300-400) but now i had to buy over like 800 robux for just one single outfit. it’s crazy because after this i don’t think i’ll really be buying anything off roblox anymore, especially when inflation has gotten so bad to the point where not even 800 robux is enough for anything. i really hope roblox steps up their game and lowers the prices, but with how things are going i don’t think that will be happening anytime soon, if ever
I honestly understand partially. There is a lot more competition and imagine OG UGC makers competing with the flock of new people coming, now many of the items are just swinging with the price floor. It is still a negative for us as consumers since we get worse prices, but if you care about the artists then u can see a more plausible reason, yk at least they can stay and still be able to defend themselves. Either way, it is excessive and it screws items that are not worth that much like small accessories that add little to the outfit (for example, i had to remove a wheat from one of my non-bought outfits since it went from 35 up to 85, 3 times the price for the same small thing!)

There is no way this inflation is about demand and not to fill Roblox’s pockets. 2% inflation or lower is considered healthy, compared to the 24% we see here.
The only protest that could actually potentially get their attention would be a physical protest outside of the Roblox HQ, where people actually camp out there with signs and megaphones.

The moment that stuff costed more than a dollar was the moment I stopped buying things. I can understand some stuff costing more than 80 Robux, but when everything does, my only Robux income/spending will be from Premium payouts and UGC item sales.
Another thing that angers me, albeit a less important thing in the grand scheme of things, is the old Motocross hats. Their price was part of their legacy, and now Motocross 77: The Sting can't be 77 Robux, Motocross 62: Fire can't be 62 Robux, etc. etc. etc.
Since Roblox doesn't have to deal with their own marketplace fee of 30%, I could understand them increasing the prices of things that go below 30% of the active price floor, making the minimum for Roblox created head accessories become 26 Robux if rounding up or 25 if rounding down, but the fact that they're keeping the price floor the same for their own items is what ticks me off the most.
