- Launched in 1996, Robert Hood's Floorplan alias added soaring strings and vocal harmonies to his signature skeletal techno loops. Since teaming up with his daughter Lyric in 2016, the duo have mastered this gospel-influenced house sound.
This RA Live performance sees the Hoods deliver two hours of seamless soulful house, euphoric chords and Detroit techno at Resident Advisor's RhythmiK stage in Parc del Fòrum.

It was not until recently. Floorplan is his alias when he plays or produce more housy music. Now he sometimes plays with his daughter under this alias too. Certainly to give her visibility and because he enjoys it :)

I love Robert Hood (also his alias Floorplan), but this project with his daughter is kind of meh. More like a project to push the daughters career then pushing musical boundaries or eclectic deejaying. I understand in trying to provide the best possible for his kid, but aside that, it's nothing remarkable in musical sense.
Btw, the crowd in those kind of festivals are more and more boring, people are more focused to look good for the camera then let it go and get lost in the music. Sad! 😢

I already miss M-Plant's good minimal techno. and the daughter seems to me to be an insecure DJ who isn't focused on big events anyway...
Floorplan was always meant to be a house music alias which is why I don’t think there was any techno in this set, though I’m pretty sure his track as floorplan never grow old is techno for sure and not house!!
Sorry... another case of TOP top music producers... terrible DJ's... Some producers just can't cut it as DJ's...

🤣Me too, also been a DJ for just as long...You sound like a music snob...It was just my opinion...and in my opinion, that set just didn't do it...Yes, it had great tunes, but arranged poorly, mixed poorly and that creates just as poor an atmosphere...AND DON'T FORGET... it's just an opinion...Go listen to Richie Hawtin mix or something🙄@@djstuc
