I've played with ex-special forces dudes, construction workers, college athletes, police officers, and other tough dudes who wouldn't care about being shot from that close, but it's the courtesy that counts, and there were plenty of times where I flanked them, they had no idea I was on their flank, and instead of shooting them, I just told them bang-bang from like 20 feet away, and they accepted it, because they knew they would have been dead whether I bang-banged or not. But then again, everyone's human, and everyone has lapses in judgement, and there are definitely moments where I've had lapses in my own judgement too, so I can't really say shit.

Could be cause there are more people putting out more video fotage in USA than europe? I like how at our fields the band band rule is that "You can challenge a bang bang if you want. Usually it is just that the Banger has the drop on you but doesn't want to shoot. If you do try to challenge prepare to get BBd."

No, it's a proximity rule. If it's within 10 feet you say bang bang instead of shooting so that the other guy won't get injured. He miscalculated the distance though, but OC should have taken the hit. This time it was OC who was the bad sport.

If you suspect that to be the case ask them politely to shoot the floor. A lot of times they're dry AF and didn't even know it.

What’s sad is how Airsoft are full of grown men taking it too seriously and ruining the fun for others. It used to be a thing for teens to have fun with and now it’s full of sweaty tryhards and grown men getting pissy over people having fun.
On the one hand I want Airsoft to be made legal where I am currently. But on the other hand given how many man babies already exist without it makes me second guess my hopes.

this is why I love paintball more. especially with extra pressure. It is painful and extremely clear when someone hits you. Unlike this sport full of children. Still, with a right company it's extremely fun.

This is why most UK sites don't have bang bang rule or minimum engagement distance. You get lit up from a foot away, these things happen. If you're not comfortable with that, don't play.

It's a courtesy, not an exact science. Bitch about the rule as much as you want... The spirit of the rule is to be kind to the player, not to get the measuring tape and actually measure the distance.

this makes it so that people cant just run around bang banging so people usually resort in just shooting. But if you really bang band someone then make sure they take it or follow it up with a shot.

No, it's a proximity rule. If it's within 10 feet you say bang bang instead of shooting so that the other guy won't get injured. He miscalculated the distance though, but OC should have taken the hit. This time it was OC who was the bad sport.
