    Interesting. Wouldn't it make more sense to start with a valve job first? Then blend the new valve job to the rest of the port.
    That valve job top cut left a nasty ridge in the combustion chamber. I bet blending it in would release some flow.
    What's the valve and throat size?
    Are you happy with these handheld valve seat cutters? Are they Chinese copy, or American made?

      About the valve cut last, two different ways to get to the same place... As long as it's done, then no issues. As both this test and the VN head show, seat shape affects low lift flow where port shape isn't as critical due to the lower airspeed in the port.
      The ridge is far less than it was and is a juggle between continuing cutting to remove it, then cut a lower 45-degree seat cut, which in turn drops the valve lower in the head, or compromise and leave it as is.
      Valve size is 1.8in with a 1.49in throat.
