13 years ago, I felt like the 511 was the young trendy cut, while the 501 was like the Dad cut. It's hilarious to me how the only people I see wearing 511s today are over 30, many of whom have kids, while trendy 20-year-olds rock 501s.
They honestly both look the same. It's just the 511 are a bit more slimmer instead of the hourglass shape going down the legs. And the 511 plays nice with low top sneakers. The opposite of the 505.
I don't know how he makes all his jeans look like slim fit Levi's 511 lol. But the 505 is a bit more relaxed and a bit more room in the groin area, also depending on the material the 505 can loosen up over time and become a bit baggier as you wear em more(goes back to default after you wash em tho.) My only prob about the 505 is depending on the shoes you might have to cuff your jeans at the bottom. The 505 doesn't play nice with low top shoes.
I think that's because he is wearing 30 waist 505s and also perhaps his low length / inseam is contributing to that as well . If you size up then these can be considered relaxed fit by today's standards.
The 501 are a bit uncomfortable/tight after washing/new. Give em a few wears and loosens up a bit. I have the opposite, my 501's are the softest and thinnest of the my Levi's. The 505 are definitely more thicker than my 501! Anyways for some reason this jeans play a bit more nice with shoes unlike the 505 which kinda of crumble at the bottom and you have to cuff em if you aren't wearing boots. Honestly both jeans are amazing. My only criticism and this is my own, is that i wish they would be pass the hip like the vintage ones.
Are you team 501 or 505? 😮
505
501
501 ❤ 505
Both !😂

Quick and straight to the point! Appreciate it man
Classic 1947 501 is 12.5-13 inch front rise, on a 32 waist they're a 13 inch thigh with an 8.5 inch hem. Modern 501 is a slim taper at this point

yeah, guy has meaty legs, 501's look like skinny jeans on him, bad model for most guys
All other videos claim 505's are roomier in thighs than 501's, yours makes the opposite point.
Ya mine are roomier too mine are the complete opposite from what this video says
@@Isaak-eo6tr I saw on the paper tags of Levi's 505 Regular Stretch it says "Sits at Waist, Extra Room in Thigh, Straight Leg".
... but on others it says instead: "Regular through the match, straight leg"

the 501 fit literally changes every year for the worse...
501s were great before they tightened up the leg opening. Same fit as Iron Heart 634.

How much
505 should have a wider leg opening, crazy that the 513’s you reviewed are wider at the leg opening than the 505.
Levis cold in winter, hot in summer, heavy all year. Switched to Goodfellow. Lighter weave, much better.
65 yo female wearing 505’s since my teens.
Cho mình hỏi 501 vải có co giãn không?
Quần jean 100% cotton không co giãn

505s all day, all night. I have no patience with button fly, zippers is the best invention before sliced bread.
Levis used to be a good denim company. Now they're a crappy casual fashion company that makes unremarkable denim.
Please stop the cap.
I'm a natural 32inch waste. The 505s were at least 2 inches short in the waist. Crap
Ty brother
Levis.....not me.❌ Diesel all the way✅
501
Neither are what they used to be.....dont buy Levis anymore
What are some alternatives you like?
