Press conference in Sweden, 2013. Someone makes the mistake of asking KISS why Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer don't have their own KISS characters. Note that Tommy says people have been bringing it up for twenty years, despite him only being in the band for ten. Triggered! Thanks for joining the Fonz Army and remember to subscribe for all your funny KISS video and lipsynching needs. Two and a half million views on the channel so far, thanks KISStards!!
Fonz, Kiss have done one of the greatest all time pre show entertainment shows in Melbourne Australia before the AFL Grand final. Pauls voice was incredible. I advise you to check it out.
Boy you hate KISS, huh? Stumbled into your page a few days ago. While I’ll admit there are aspects to Gene’s money grubbing personality that annoy the hell out of me, they’re an act. And they’re entertaining, plus they have a few badass tunes in their catalog….
Because they didn't have an answer, that's why they didn't give a reasonable answer, there isn't one. Stealing someone's looks, in my opinion, is a wanna be.
I love how the guy delivers it. Accent so can have plausible deniability over the phrasing, prefacing it with a massive compliment, and just saying it in such a nonchalant manner. And then Eric, Tommy and Paul instantly get triggered anyway.
Wonderfully worded - those wrinkled klowns got swerved like nobody's business - and by somebody who obviously isn't a native English speaker. They obviously couldn't stand the heat and had to refer to 35,000 marketing victims with room temperature IQ.
To answer the question correctly. The line-up from 73-79 was the best of them all, so they pay tribute to that era. Very little people give two shits about what KISS done after that. That's why they're back in makeup, and their set list is 95% classic 70's KISS. Gene, Paul, Peter, and Ace Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, not the other way around.
Ill give you that and I dont blame Ace and Peter or Eric and Tommy I blame Paul and Gene for not just saying we do this beacsue of it makes us the most money
It wasn’t the only reason but it was one of several reasons. If the Ankh and Fox were so popular and beloved then it would’ve translated into sales. But it didn’t.
@@Prof_Tickles92 The band shot themselves in the foot by pandering to genres that were the absolute antithesis of what their hard rock fans wanted. By the time Vinnie came in, it was already over.
@@booshting3520so you’re conceding my point that new characters/members was one of the reasons for their decline? And forgive me but critics and the music establishment lambasted KISS, mocked them for being all flash & no substance, a one trick pony. So when they do decide to diversify people still shit on them. You see how that isn’t fair?
@Prof_Tickles92 Need I really write the same post twice ? Just read it again. If you think I conceded to your point then you're struggling with basic reading and comprehension 💡
The other makeup did work. Kiss’ musical direction is why they fell off in popularity. To further my point they could have made their mark instead of being imposters. That’s dressing up like Ace period. Cut the personas crap. It was dumb then and dumb now. KISS is my favorite group ever. 1973-2001 After that a tired old band.
You can see how triggered Eric is from this he bites back. Paul tries to put it away in a box and when Paul talks Thayer & Singer know to shut up. It's a legitimate question, Thayer & Eric needed to be their own personas instead of copy n paste clones of Ace & Peter. Paul & Gene don't really understand how so many hardcore fans disconnected from Kiss in the last 25 years where all your getting is a cash grab Kiss who try to emulate the glory days.
And it’s true . That question has been asked 1000 times. I imagine it gets annoying having to answer it. Still all the comments are blown out of proportion . I would hardly call this triggered. Annoyed maybe. Just people being haters!
No : they are not haters - they are being realistic. Carr was the Fox , Vincent was the Ankh warrior….. see the problem is KISS is truly recognized by the original characters- they should have quit 25 years ago however Gene & Paul are egomaniacs/ greedy fucks who have desire to give a shit about anyone but themselves : hence to copy & paste model of the lip syncing band still stealing your money
I no longer consider myself a fan after 25-30 years, but I agree. If Carr and Vincent could have their own personas, I think it would have been a huge boost to the KISS history to finish the last decade or more with new personas designed especially for Eric and Tommy. But yes, now that it's been cemented into their history, let it go.
@@redbull272 again it’s been answered a million times. Coming up with with new personas started to get silly and cheapened the original concept of the band. The four original designs are what people think of when they think of KISS. I personally think they could have created new personas and it would have been okay. But I’m sure a lot of people would have made fun of them for that too. The years with Carr and Vincent in make up we’re not very good. In the 80’s a lot of people were pining for Ace and Peter . But I think it was the show and performance they did in the 70’s that people wanted just as much. I do remember people saying what’s next when Carr and Vincent were in the band . Plus when Peter and Ace left after the farewell tour . They were old enough to be more of a nostalgia type of band. The original make up designs paid tribute to their most successful era. I get that a lot of people don’t agree. But no one is twisting your arm and making you go to shows. They still want to perform and a lot of people still want to go. I agree with Paul when he said he shouldn’t have had to quit and give up his dream because of Ace and Peter. I know if I were him. I would do what ever made me happy.
Come on, Fonz, you can't expect them to just tell the truth and answer, "Because most people will see the unmistakable, original make-up and think this is the original Kiss. It's a gigantic sham!" This is like real life Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park. 2 of the stunt doubles are playing Ace and Peter and it's obvious they are not Ace and Peter because they're doing a terrible job at it. I can't believe that short guy has a patch of Peter from Rock-n-Roll Over on his vest like somehow it's actually this guy and not Peter effin' Criss. Slapping some paint on your face does not make the iconic Ace/Spaceman or legendary Peter/Catman, get outta here!
I don't like what Kiss has become but this is too much, people are calling Tommy and Eric names when it's Paul and Gene making them wear costumes. If Tommy and Eric left, some other guys would take their places. Be angry with Paul and Gene, not Tommy and Eric who are just doing what they're paid to do.
@dominikaksiazek7177 Gene and Paul making them do it - lol. I have mad respect and love for Bruce Kulick for forging his own musical history in the band without riding on anyone's coattails or selling out. Bruce is an amazing musician and writer who will live on as such. Bruce had the perfect blend of respecting Ace's work while making it his own, and choosing not to don Ace's make-up just shows what a total stand-up guy Bruce really is.
@@dominikaksiazek7177 Hey, they work for em. It's just like the guy at Amazon that gets bitched at for packages being late. What are you doing with my favorite KISS character's makeup on, you half a twit? They're out there answering or not answering questions.
KISS will obviously do whatever makes Stanley and Chaim the most money... Embarrassment isn't even a factor or even considered... It's all about the money...
"Ask the fans what they think?" Paul was out of his mind to say that! That'd be like a defendant in court telling the judge, "Ask my victim's family if I should be found guilty." He didn't have a chance to think that answer through at all, and it's on film, haha, schmuck!
Eric answered this exact question at a KISS Expo in Indianapolis (I think its even on youtube, it was on his birthday) and he was nice about it and said something like "these are the characters they spend an entire career creating and its who everyone knows so theres no reason to change it"
They were still young enough to continue. They shouldn’t have quit if they didn’t want to. I accepted a long time ago that they were 4 guys that couldn’t get along. Most bands go through line up changes. It only matters because of they make up and costumes. Now you have grown men whining about make up! I’ve gone to multiple shows and enjoyed myself . I know it’s not Ace and Peter. No one is scamming me.
If fans haven't stopped being pissed about the fake Ace and Peter to still be asking about it 20+ years later obviously MANY fans do not like it. Biggest mistake KISS ever made.
@@Prof_Tickles92 those 90% of fans just want to hear their favourite songs and have fun, be a part of this huge show. Not everybody knows all their history because not everybody cares. This is the only version of Kiss they can see live so there's no choice. I was born in 99 so I've never been able to see the OG lineup. Still, I'm not going to pay for a lip syncing trainwreck so I'd stick with watching old concerts.
@@Prof_Tickles92 They don't know. A lot of people are just ignorant. They want to keep the fans that way. I've been a fan for almost 50 years but they're the tRump's of rock and roll. Full of shit!
I don't understand why Tommy got pissed about that question, it may be obvious to them but not for every fan out there. Out of respect for the previous band members, Gene and Paul could have created new personas. Both Eric and Vinnie got their own, and people liked it back in the day. Why should it be any different with this lineup, they are just milking the past at this point
And it’s been said many times. As they started getting new members . Coming up with new characters started to seem silly, Those designs are classic and immediately identifiable as KISS. Plus Peter and Ace sold the rights to those designs.
@@timg185 It's been said many times, but that still does not change the fact that Eric Carr came in around 1980, and his makeup was well respected among fans. Even the Ankh Warrior makeup for Vinnie is also part of the nostalgic old Kiss. Gene has always been the face of Kiss, so it would not be hard for them to come up with two new personas. Both the Cat Man and Space Man was characters that Ace and Peter created, it should have stayed that way since it reflected their personalities.
@@MysticGargoyle I didn’t like it at first . But I took my son in 2004 when he was 4. I was to young to go see them in the 70’s. But I had an uncle who wanted to take me. My mother wouldn’t let me go. I wanted to take my son before it was to late. Eric and Tommy played great. Better than the last show I had seen with Ace and Peter. I enjoyed myself. The reasoning behind the decision to use those designed made sense. Wether or not I agreed at the time. Sometimes you just have to learn to accept chance . You can’t always get what you want. And not accepting it just prevents you from enjoyment. The 70’s with the original 4 will always be my favorite version. But nothing stays the same.
The simple fact is this question to Thayer will be put to him for the rest of his life. He is an opportunist - a KISS cover band player - Gene's assistant - who caught the attention of Paul Stanley who LOVES him. Just look at how deep Thayer carries this, knowing that although pathetically there are morons that pay to watch this clown show - Thayer within the music industry will never be respected nor even thought of. Boy, did he get upset.
@@thomasflores7817 Exactly. Im a huge fan of all eras of this band. But, i refused to get worked up over cat makeup. I cringe when someone says Pete is the " real catman" There are no real cat men. I guess Pete was the original Furry though
Whats overlooked here is the fact they did 2 of the shittiest albums of their career with Dynasty and The Elder, that real rock fans had jumped ship. It wasn't new makeup that doomed them in the 80s it was a disco and crappy concept album they were warned not to do by Ace. Facts.
100%. They were dead in the water in the US by that point. The fact that they were popular in Australia in 80 with Eric and South America in 83 with Eric AND Vinnie proved that other makeup designs were fine, it was over-exposure, doing a kiddy movie, and a gimmick just running its course.
Eric Singer could have been the Hawk (& in fact, that WAS talked about) and Tommy Thayer could have been the Space Bandit, a combination of Ace's Spaceman & Paul's Bandit personas (& could have still worn this same outfit because Ace didn't wear it). That would tied up those loose ends--regarding KISS' other makeup designs--rather nicely & it wouldn't have divided the fans, as much. But Paul & Gene seemed utterly unconcerned with that, in the end.
I've seen photos with the Hawk makeup super-imposed on Eric Singer's face. He'd look no worse & no weirder than anyone else. And no one would be confusing him with Peter Criss, or vice versa, as the Catman.
A young lady named Violeta Klein has also posted pictures of herself in the Hawk makeup, on social media. She looked great--very cute, in my opinion! *It's all in how you do it.
@@DaP84how do you convey a demon’s wings around someone’s nose without looking ridiculous? Non-Kiss fans tend to think all the makeup designs look ridiculous
The other make ups did work. Creatures is one of the best kiss albums. Eric if wrong about that. You mean to tell me Gene at least good business man couldn't figure this out
Do you realize how many bands from the 70s and 80s that have replaced original members?? Kiss is only one of literally dozens. AC/DC, Yes, Santana, Journey, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth...That doesn't automatically make the replacement musicians bad! GTFO
I never understood why they just put Ace and Peter's makeup on them. Sure it worked out, but it never felt right. They took the easy way out if you ask me.
I remember when Revenge was coming out, and there was concern about Singer being blonde even without makeup. Nowadays Spineless Simmons and Stanley would not have allowed a blonde member
Paul, let’s say at some point in the future you lost the ability to sing. It should be fine for someone who can sing to take your place and draw a star on his eye?
Yes, they need to be constantly called out about it. Nobody needs to pretend that they look like the real thing. Thayer's jawline is too wide and Singer's face too chubby to ever come close to resemble Frehley or Criss. When I see them from a mile away I go nope and pass on the show.
It comes down to merchandising. They can link the past to the present and sell tons of stuff. How many actors have played Batman? Batman merchandise doesn’t care who’s under the mask. Also this ties into the concept that KISS will literally go on indefinitely. Paul & Gene will be replaced. I’m 100% convinced of that. They are selling a brand at this point, not a band. I still love them anyway!
Paul’s ego won’t allow KISS to exist without him. Otherwise it would have happened already. He hasn’t been able to sing for a decade and has faked vocals live since 2019. He says Ace and Peter had to be replaced because they couldn’t handle it anymore, so why is he still there? Hypocrisy.
It doesn’t matter if you are a fan or not. Here is the truth, KISS is a show. This hasn’t been a band in years. KISS is nothing more than a travel road company putting on the same rehearsed, lip synced, actors portraying roles. The days of it being a band playing a live show have long since passed. The make up and characters are just apart of the show and it does not matter who is wearing the paint and the costume. The original band and its members abd the lineup after that were a band and gave you a concert. No matter how Gene, Paul, Tommy, Eric want to spin it. I don’t begrudge anyone their fun and entertainment, just know that this a show with actors playing a part to a script and not the original guys wearing makeup and expressing their personalities and making their music.
After hearing all sides to the argument from Kiss themselves to the fans, It seems like Eric sees it as a hired gig and part of the job and Tommy loves being the spaceman and playing with these guys.
What's really sad is the KISS cover bands are far better than the real thing nowadays, and this interview is a perfect example of the way they behave now. They don't really care about the fans, just the money. In fact Gene himself says it on I think EXposed when they ask him about the makeup. He says they'd be a ripoff of themselves. Guess what, here we are, and yes they are horrible compared to the non-makeup era AND a total embarrassment to their legacy.
Obviously you're not a musician. Or you are tone deaf. Or just don't give AF that the current band really does suck at this stage. @@malcolmmuggeridge7862
The biggest thing Eric Singer has ever done in his music career is dress up as the guy they fired him for. Not once but twice. If remembered at all he will be remembered for being one of the fake guys in the band. His makeup should be the skunk.
@@Retro_Man_76 he was good with Alice (Brutal Planet is one of the best Coop albums) but come on. He was just an anonymous journeyman. Could have been anyone. Same with his stint with Black Scabbath in 87. And Jake E. Lee threw him out of Badlands because he thought he should get songwriting credit for coming up with his drum parts to the songs. Not the way it works, as he would have quickly found out when he joined KISS.
Kiss can say whatever the want 35k waiting meanwhile Led Zeppelin the one time they reunited in 07 20 million requested tickets holds the record for most tickets requested and they had no make up and pyrotechnics that’s the difference between a rock band and a bunch of old men squeezing every dime out of their fans. Not cool at all. And Eric singer is 4 ‘11” can anyone say napoleon complex SMH
0:44 no Eric that’s not why they took it off Their popularity dropped big time in the US after dynasty and the backlash of I was made for loving you, the dynasty tour lost a lot of money, by 1980 for Unmasked they couldn’t even tour the US for it they were only able to do one US show at the palladium in NYC which was Eric Carr first show after Peter left the band, the band the band tours Europe, Australia and New Zealand and sells out Arenas And Stadiums With Eric Carr in the fox makeup, by 1981 Kiss returns to the states and releases Music from the Elder which was a commercial failure and by then the Fans have checked out and gave up on Kiss and found other bands like AC/DC, Van Halen, Iron maiden and etc. Kiss was dead in The US in 1982 and they needed to get back to there roots and they did with Creatures of the Night and with the new member Vinnie Vincent with the Ankh makeup they do the US Creatures tour with sadly was a flop due to the fans already being tired of the band, they go to Brazil and Sell out 3 stadiums and play the biggest crowd they played too ever with Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent in Makeup. That summer Kiss records a new album in the states with only one option going forward, take the makeup off and get your popularity and fans back in America or keep the makeup on and have smaller tours and less album sales and not have barely any fans left, they took the makeup off for a change and to show fans they are back and not poppy anymore and to get their popularity back, that’s why Eric not cause of the Makeup like you and Gene and Paul try to say😅
Honestly they should have called it quits in 1981 after the original 4 broke up. Everything since has been cheesy and just put the band in the circus performers catagory
If not Tommy, they would find another guy and make him wear the Spaceman makeup too. It's not Thayer who makes those decisions so I don't understand why people are angry with him.
@@dominikaksiazek7177people aren't angry with Tommy he's pretending to be something he isn't fans love Eric and Bruce should have unmasked again but Money ruined the band as Peter said
Maybe I should be in PR but I was just thinking, instead of getting triggered they could have said "Well, Peter and Ace are getting monetary residuals every time Eric and Tommy use the makeup." and shrug. I mean that's how I'd answer questions like that because it's true. Ace and Peter do get paid for creating the Catman and the Spaceman.
No they don’t. Peter sold his makeup rights in the 80s and Ace sold his makeup rights before the 96 reunion tour. They don’t get any residuals from it at all. You can look up the makeup designs in the registrar of trademarks and see that KISS Corp owns it. The one thing they can get money from is likeness rights if companies want to put a PHOTO of them on a product. This is where Ace gets confused and says in interviews that he owns the makeup rights. He doesn’t. He even admitted in an interview over the last few years that he was mistaken about the makeup rights. The guy doesn’t know what day of the week it is he gets stuff wrong constantly. Like the Grammy he thought he had for Beth. And he said a few weeks ago that Eddie Kramer recorded him doing the solo for Strange Ways in Ace’s home studio. It wasn’t Eddie Kramer and Ace built the studio in 1979 it didn’t even exist in 1974.
I would really love it if they invited Peter and Ace back onstage after they told them 'yeah, we've dumped Tommy and Eric and realised the original line up is irreplaceable', then when they walk on they realise Tommy and Eric are standing there in their make up. The catch being, there's a mini assault course on stage and the 4 of them have to compete to retain their respective cat-Klown or space-Klown make up and play the gig. There's no choice though, there's no way to exit the stage and the assault course is mandatory.
@@thefonzkiss Well after the assault course you'll get a choice of Thayer's robo-clone plastic dross or Ace's free jazz F# Mixolydian mode version of Deuce. Perfect for Gene's next $1.5 million toy box set.
That's a weird question to get so sensitive about. With all they have been through you wouldn't think they would be so thin skinned. Huge Kiss fan, but it's time to end it when an innocent question at a press conference brings out four angry old men getting all bent out of shape over it.
The reason is that Kiss is just a nostalgia act now. People wants to see the Spaceman and the Catman on stage, not the turtle boy and the hawk. And they want to hear Rock n Roll all nite and not Morden Day Delilah
@@Mark3-16 The best story ever was when they had to get Bob Kulick in after Ace just walked out the studio saying 'I've got a card game to go to by 11'. Ace is an absolute dribbling loser but he caused Paul lots of misery so he kinda makes up for it.
These guys 🤡 need to hang it up already. What are they on, year 3 of the farewell tour, lol. The original Four made KISS great. Those two imposters make the group a tribute band. Unbelievable
I do think it's kinda lame that they made Tommy the Spaceman and Singer the Cat. They should've given them their own persona like they did Vinnie and Carr.
Paul had a point regarding "what's next, turtle boy? dog man?", but they shot themselves in the foot after 2000. Paul's narcissism convinced him to kick out Ace & Peter. Fine. Maybe he had a point, maybe he didn't. But he needed to stop for five minutes and think about the long term ramifications of what would happen if the band, for whatever reason, kept on touring. He didn't. Now it's just weird.
What would have been wrong with Turtle Boy though? If it was its own thing with its own gimmicks and effects and the guitarist did his own thing, what’s the problem? Eric Carr’s fox totally worked. Vinnie’s wizard totally worked. It’s just an excuse to be lazy and replicate the past because they ran out of ideas decades ago. Thanks for the comment!
@@KISSbestfan he’s got no fans now so it would only be an improvement. On paper the Starchild and the spaceman and the demon and the cat are absurd as well. The makeup and the character is just five percent of it.
On the other hand he wanted to be a part of KISS and through years succeeded, while Ace was a part of KISS twice, and blew it perfectly in late 90s. Man, if only it was over by now, we wouldnt have to discuss this, but would be United discussing Good Old times

It was always about popularity in the U.S. back then. Unmasked bombed with, as far as the public knew, all four original members in makeup. Fans were done with the makeup and kiddie music
Except one of the originals didn’t play at all on the album. That was Anton Figbiscuit. And Ace contributed little. You see Ace on the creatures sleeve, doesn’t mean he played on it. Oh and Pyscho Cashgrab as well. They’re a total fraud. Have been for years. It’s all about getting Paul richer and Gene fatter.
The sad truth is that all of them are actually very poor musicians. I’ve seen better players struggling to fill a hat full of coins busking outside the bus station. They had good marketing and a strong visual. They’ve never been a good musical unit. They still sound like an unrehearsed college band.

From an interview Eric did in 2016: "I know some fans get mad when I say this, but I mean it… we are talking about a fucking band that puts on makeup and wears high heeled boots. When I say that people say, “You don’t get it.” Yes, I do get it. They are telling me that Kiss is their life and how important it is. How about me? I fucking play drums in the band. You don’t think that is important to me? I play drums for a living. This is what I do. This is how I make a living. It is not some hobby. It is something that I turned a love of, and worked hard and passionately to turn it into a way to make a living. You have to learn to approach it that way. This is how I make a living so this is how I’ve learned to approach it. Sometimes I hate to say this but this is how I pay for everything that I do. It is the way our system works. You get a job. You make money. That is how you pay for your shit. In that regard it is pretty elementary. For fans who think I don’t understand… I absolutely understand. I’m a fan too. I make it real simple. I always tell friends that my favorite era of Kiss that influenced me and that I relate to the most is the original band and those first three records. You know why? Because for me, just like everybody else says… everyone has their Kiss, if you will. I am using Kiss an analogy but it applies to anything. My Kiss was the very first Kiss that came on the scene in 1973 or 1974. I saw them on that first tour. They opened for The New York Dolls. I bought those records. I know the impact that they had on me and everybody around me at that time when they burst onto the scene. That is the Kiss that I relate to. Later on, the later versions…. not so much. I always followed Kiss and I liked everything they did and I respect everything they did, but the other versions didn’t influence me during that time period. I’ve never tried to replace Peter Criss or Eric Carr. It is like a train. It comes into the station and they say, “We need another person to keep this train running.” You need another person to shovel coal to keep the engine running. I just got onboard and now I am one of the guys in that fucking engine room helping keep that locomotive run. To me, that makes a lot of sense when you put it into basic terms. I understand that you can’t try to take the emotional factor out of the equation. To fans that is impossible. It is not going to happen. They only, you know… they wear their hearts on their sleeves and they look at it from an emotional point of view. I get that and I respect it. You’re not going to get me to think that way. I have a unique perspective in Kiss. Think about this…Tommy and I were both Kiss fans growing up. We were influenced by the band musically and visually."

80s and early 90s Kiss is almost as good. Especially their albums from 1982-85, plus Revenge in 92.
Ill give you that and I dont blame Ace and Peter or Eric and Tommy I blame Paul and Gene for not just saying we do this beacsue of it makes us the most money

That’s dressing up like Ace period. Cut the personas crap. It was dumb then and dumb now. KISS is my favorite group ever. 1973-2001 After that a tired old band.
I thought the guy asking the question was pretty respectful, I don’t know why they flipped about it… well I know why but still, kind of uncalled
@@timg185 And what is the answer of this "stupid" question, genius?
Yeah I noted the irony of his tirade while he had a 1976 Peter Criss Rock And Roll Over face on his vest.

Paul, let’s say at some point in the future you lost the ability to sing. It should be fine for someone who can sing to take your place and draw a star on his eye?
Exactly. He says they had to replace Ace and Peter because they weren’t up to it and then goes out lipsynching the whole show. What a joke!
I'm pretty sure that's exactly his plan
Eric is also impersonating Peter's anger.

Using my imagination I can see Tommy as the ostrich and Singer as the guinea pig.
I would really love it if they invited Peter and Ace back onstage after they told them 'yeah, we've dumped Tommy and Eric and realised the original line up is irreplaceable', then when they walk on they realise Tommy and Eric are standing there in their make up. @@KISSbestfan not entirely true. Just because they stop touring doesn't mean they are stopping the Kiss machine. They no doubt will find other ways to further decimate their legacy.
Well hey, at least Gene was brutally honest at the end. "This means nothing."
Dude asking the question sounds like Borat
Actually this is the first time Paul was pretty open about it
The way this video ends🤣
The question hit such a nerve because deep down inside they know they screwed it up.
I think you’re right. No reason to get so emotive over a simple question. The guy even praised them at the start.
They should've changed their name to Cuckoo Nest.
Pauls response made no sense and was stupid. Eric got too triggered and Tommy pacing back n forth no idea what to say. If they were gonna keep spaceman and catman they should have at least changed the design a bit or something.
Ace all day everyday
It was always about popularity in the U.S. back then. Unmasked bombed with, as far as the public knew, all four original members in makeup. Fans were done with the makeup and kiddie music
Totally.
Kiddie music my ass. And Unmasked is a very underrated album too.
@@Retro_Man_76 *TRIGGERED KISSTARD*
Is that actually Ace?
It’s from 2013 so of course not.
Let get record right ! Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent in Make up and there own personas Was not the reason kiss was failing back 1980-82 1st even tho Kiss Dynasty sold 2 million it cost them die hard kiss fans , then in 1980 with unmask kiss didn't to tour in states and unmask only went Gold in states , Then in 1981 kiss did elder with drove off the remaining kiss fans it failed to even go gold and there was no tour ! All that Had nothing to do who was in makeup ! Get the facts right eric singer and always remember #EricCarrWasRight you were after his job in 1988 during paul solo tour ! While your a good drummer You are not Eric Carr and couldn't match man in class or playing ! Eric Carr showed Peter Criss more respect and Peter Respected Eric Carr !
From an interview Eric did in 2016:
"I know some fans get mad when I say this, but I mean it… we are talking about a fucking band that puts on makeup and wears high heeled boots.
@@billtrepkowski527 yup
Going out on top yea sure
Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer have been in longer than Peter and Ace.
Yup the play Ace and Peter's parts great. Note for note
But not in the years that mattered.
