- After the recent "Caves & Cliffs" and "Wild" update I really wanted to check out the caves + Ancient City and challenge myself to survive while being in underground for 100 Days on hardcore mode.
Can I survive for 100 days? Will I kill the Warden? Can I restore the Ancient City? Important questions that will be answered in the video. This is what happened!

Props to you for having the patience to turn the absolute darkness of that ancient city into a beautiful livable place.
It was really beautiful. Almost makes me want to play Minecraft again just to try building down there. I would love to see a continuation of this video where Kim makes this place fully restored and livable! Lure down every animal, farms for every plant, houses for every villager, maybe a castle or mansion! I want to see the whole city!

14:40 Answer: you have to wear gold for them not to attack you, but the zombies wont attack unless you attack first, also, the non zombies will attack you anyways if you mine gold, and the brutes will attack no matter what

I used to always make secret cave houses, I never got out. I had MASSIVE tree farms
I laughed so hard when you apologized for hitting the heads of the villagers while traversing the River 😂😂
Lore for the Redstone area: they experimented to see what does and doesn't trigger the skulk sensors.(and to see what does and doesn't give off a redsone signal. Depends on the cities that generate)
tbh I first thought that it might be better to just build a house or smth. near the water pool or somewhere else in the lush cave, cause I thought that converting the city into something nice looking isn't quite possible, but when I saw your first building steps I was literally blown away by how it looked and how entertaining it is to watch. Keep the great work up!
I wonder what this would be like with the whole gang, you forge labs, Robert, shadow, sneve, legundo and Ryan. Be interesting to see what all of you would do with a 100 days in caves only, it would be a fight for resources that's for sure

Some tips to help with your own efforts:
Hoes instamine Skulk, making them more effective than pickaxes.
after the Warden gets a kill, it returns to neutral, meaning that an accidental spawn can be avoided with golem luring.
Skulk gives EXP, allowing for early enchants.
Kim when the Pigman was mad and when you flute gold to it you’re actually post to wear a piece of gold armor to the nether so the next time you go to the nether where where a piece of gold armor with you to make a pig man not to attack you you have to wear golden armor golden armor will protect you in Pickman want to attack you if you takeoff golden armor then the pigment will attack you so make sure you wear a golden armor next time when you go to the nether and there is actually a Minecraft forest in the new wild update so yeah

I love the fact that in the beginning he was almost continuously in a lush cave with azalea bushes and had bones in his inventory but didn’t think to use bone meal to make a tree 😅
Tbh could have happened to me too but watching someone else make this “mistake” kinda makes you see it more clearly

Ok here’s some outdated ideas (some are inspired by lukethenotable
1. Nether survival for 100 days (Luke did this )
2. Ocean survival for 100 days , I know someone did this I’m not sure who tho
3. 200 days of caves only , if you do this you can nametag the warden and keep him as a pet because he won’t dig away while he’s nametagged

There’s a secret loot room in the ancient city that is activated in one of three different ways involving sensor blocks depending on what ancient city generates. That’s what you dug into with all the redstone circuitry.
What does it do when it activates?

Kim in the lush caves the little bush looking things with the purple flowers or just the plain ones if you use Bonemeal on them, they’ll grow into trees. absolutely loved this video. Keep up the good work. 😁
Fun fact: ancient cities have a really low chance to generate with 4 daimond blocks in a structure

You can use bonemeal on the flowering azalea bushes to grow them into trees, giving you a renewable source of wood.

With complementary shaders they glow Like this too ! I have them they are great for Not so crazy pc's

I bet it's way different for Java edition, But I've played Minecraft in psvr while in an ancient city, it makes it SO DARK, pitch black. Me placing torches was what brought me to my demise, after I activated too many shriekers.
The piglins are Territorial beings. If you wear 1 piece of gold armor of any type, they won't attach. But if you attack them, mine gold near them, open a chest, shulker box, or barrel, they WILL attack. Piglin brutes are aggressive, so you cant stop them from attacking you.

Note for future challenges if you do it underground only using bonemeal on an azaelea bush will grow it into a lush tree which can provide wood.

A TIP when under ground and planting garden, place torches right next to the garden any plant even trees will grow with the regular torch interesting I found this out by accidentally
