I can't wait for the UTMB personally. All the greats will be there, but I feel the race will ultimately come down to Kilian and Jim. Due to the mountains, though, Kilian might just have the edge.
Depends on how you define ultra. Jim's sweet spot seems to be between 50 and 100 kilometers. He seems to be unbeatable in that range. 100 miles and up (Western States, Diagonale des Fous, UTMB) he's on shakier ground, though his UTMB performance was still stellar.
He ran 102K at an average of 4:21. I have to rest just thinking about that. AMAZING
Yonatan Myers 💀💀💀
That is faster than my pb on 5 k parkrun😭
I was going to say the same erik
Really like him. He's willing to put all on the line for the record even if he might push himself so hard he has to drop out
Jim is such an awesome example of how running can help you mentally. I wish more therapists and drs. prescribed running.
they do, people just don't listen to them

Jim is a beast. I can't wait to see what he does in a few years.
I agree Chris Jim is a beast. I can’t wait to see what he does in a few years too.
Like crush the Western States record? ✅
World Mountain Running Champion ✅
Hell of a line up - impressive athletes, this is an amazing achievement Jim!
What a guy
he is either dropping out or winning races with course recrods :D
I thought about that, it seems like he drops out in the middle of some races because he is pushing so hard.
for him it's literally go hard or go home
Taking the biggest risks
Flat trail races he is the king, elevation increases his strategy is totally wrong
Probably pre-mature to call Wardian "Legendary", but he's quickly approaching that status!
Average Heart rate 156 damn
Is this during a run? I would guess his average HR would be in the high 30s to low 40s.
@@MidsierramusingBlogspot yeah... in a fucking long run lmao
what is his HF max? 160 or 210? it is a big differnce!
so he is there running hundreds of miles and I'm here too lazy to even get out of bed.
just means you have an easier route for improvement. hope you have run a bit in the couple years since this comment!
10 STRAVA crowns??? Man bun power.
Did he brag about the course record before he ran it again?
Dont mention this race to Killian Hornet ....................

Jim: when do you compete in Spartathlon to get the course record?
it's already been beat
YIANNIS KOUROS is the best ultra runner in the world. There is no dispute. Not since 1982.

Francois 90 minutes behind him at Western@@thevideogamer7504
Kilian and Francois are stronger on mountainous courses. Especially Kilian is the best runner on technically difficult terrain...
Because he weighs about 3 stone
Why 102km though? 😂 just make it 100km! It makes no sense 😂
It's a point to point race from Kawerau to Rotorua. Extra 2km to get inside your head
