    Really like him. He's willing to put all on the line for the record even if he might push himself so hard he has to drop out

    Jim is such an awesome example of how running can help you mentally. I wish more therapists and drs. prescribed running.

      Is this during a run? I would guess his average HR would be in the high 30s to low 40s.

      I can't wait for the UTMB personally. All the greats will be there, but I feel the race will ultimately come down to Kilian and Jim. Due to the mountains, though, Kilian might just have the edge.

      Depends on how you define ultra. Jim's sweet spot seems to be between 50 and 100 kilometers. He seems to be unbeatable in that range. 100 miles and up (Western States, Diagonale des Fous, UTMB) he's on shakier ground, though his UTMB performance was still stellar.

      Kilian and Francois are stronger on mountainous courses. Especially Kilian is the best runner on technically difficult terrain...

      It's a point to point race from Kawerau to Rotorua. Extra 2km to get inside your head
