I am pondering it , just not sure i want to invest 1.5k+ on a roof tent when i am undecided if i will keep the LR longer than next year , we shall see , which one you been looking at ? tentbox ?
Been looking at the tentbox but they are not cheap, i prefer the hard top boxes as they are more durable but i am holding off to see how others get on, i think the freelander 2 is great for this purpose and i am very happy with mine, just come back from Cornwall and was in the lake district the week before, went to loch lomond last year but not camping😀
Yeah it’s not a bad idea at all, tbh now we’re moving into summer I hopefully should be fine but it’s definitely something I’ll be doing for bed winter , more insulation 🥶
You must be shorter than me , I’m too long to sleep in me 2014 Freelander 2 , so I built a kitchen in the boot space and a plywood roof rack big enough to support a 3man pop up tent , which I put on when I park if the grounds too rough if not just use it as a ground tent Great cars I’m on my second and get away when I can , sometimes to Landrover shows with my son and grandsons he has a disco 3
Hey David , I’m just under 5’9 give or take , part of my feet hang between middle of front seats , not the most comfortable but it works just , any taller than me it’s getting difficult for sure, Was considering a disco , defo more room !

Did you remove your back seats when you are going to mot it do you need to put seats back in have 19 year old freelander would love to go camping in it bit scared to be honest as dont know what all i need to do

Oldest one in the book up there - keep a full plastic container of spare fuel in the back of your car . Sometimes you meet fuck all garages or even cars for a day . Don't get spooked if you see large furry bi-pedal man like creatures about six - eight feet tall - they're only locals . Don't be nasty to them , and they won't to you . Sleep tight .

Mice set up have u thought bout using that thermal wrap from tool station as extra black out also warmth,I have glued black carpet on my ones too

Nice set-up. So, did you take the back seats out or just fold them?
Took the back part of the seats out and left the actual seat , as it was a real pain to remove and couldn’t be bothered with the hassle !
@@jackacook Ah, OK, that makes sense. I could only ever sleep on the diagonal in mine, on account of those rear seat cushions being folded up.

Hey, no i just removed the back of the seats which was very easy, left the base of the seat in, not sure if all FL's are same but worth a try :)
