My 3PL rounds the cubic feet numbers up. Is that regular practice? Or do you multiply cost / ft^3 by exact volume?

      Hi Pulkit,
Policies around rounding and other practices vary greatly around the industry it is part of what makes comparisons so difficult. I would say rounding up on cubic feet you are paying storage on is normal within the industry. We do not round at Shipmate simply because our billing is partially automated and storage is calculated by a software that works with decimals. Hope this helps!
