Yes, escalera and escalator come from the same Latin root. There are many words coming from Latin in English, specially the ones considered more formal/cult in the times where English was 2 languages due to caste differences in Britain. Btw, those words were introduced by the French (the Normands), and French was even considered the formal language in Britain.

Gran video - super relajante!
If you analyze it what distinguishes Spanish is strongly pronounced syllables, while in English you can even pronounce sentences without closing your mouth and a lot of syllables are very breathy in Spanish you open and close your mouth much more and the syllables end in hard sounds making it ideal for clicking and lip sounds and in my opinion people who don't speak it as their first language make great ASMR because when you are learning a language you put a lot of focus in making the right pronunciation highlighting those characteristic

Apenas hoy acabo de descubrir este canal con este video que si no me equivoco subiste hace 8 horas. Desde el principio del video me has impresionado muy gratamente y ya estoy considerando suscribirme a tu canal, pero antes de suscribirme creo que es importante buscar más de tu contenido y ojalá que tengas más contenido en español.
Hoy martes, 5 de julio del año 2022 poco antes de las 4:15 a.m. comencé a ver este video y di el like 1,674 además de notar que tenía 20,331 vistas y que el canal tenía 42,000 suscriptores.

I love to hear u talking in Spanish, an advice, when u got a word that has two “rr” u have to pronounce them as “rrrr” like it’s really strong and also with words that have one “r” at the beginning it is also pronounce that way.
