- Paper Puppet theme goes brrr. I don't think there's animation since it's just lineless drawings moving around, but there's loops! (I got lazy to draw more because lineless is harddd)
The carousel sisters are said to be a myth. They know almost everything that's going on in the five oceans and are rather fond of observing events and telling them like fairy tales. For an unknown reason, they cannot speak, but instead share the stories through puppet acting.
They come and go as they please and never linger in one place for too long for they observe the world and their life, touched by the goddesses' whim. They tell myths and legends of the forgotten past for generations to come.

Imma pin this here so people won't be confused XD I didn't design the character. It was made by sTrCf on TH that I got from trading arts because goodness gracious I can't help myself when I see cute OCs. The characters are too complicated to be animated so I drew them as lineless instead! Because I wanted to make a video of them 💞❤💝

Having your OCs be fish is an incredibly unique concept, and that combined with the puppet/carousel imagery makes it stand out so much it's amazing!

The people I referenced in my original reply incorrectly assume that 4 is the only definition for the word meme, thus not understanding animation memes, which mostly fall under definition 2.

I'm really fond of the fact that you didn't go as far as to include gore when the tone of the video switched to a dark theme. It's a great break from all the "dark=blood/gore" content and really refreshing to see.
That aside, the character designs are so adorable and unique, I love them!
This is such a beautifully detailed animation, I love the colors you used. The Carousel theme mixed with this song really gave off a simple yet mysterious vibe. There's also a bunch of lore hints as well of the two Divine sisters from what I observed. Lovely animation, so simple yet holds a deeper meaning~ ✨

Ok so this is what i think they're trying to tell us.(based on the description)
The white carousel horse represents past marine and the black on represents past pyre. As we know, past marine died trying to save past pyre and past pyre was captured.The black carousel fish is crying near the end because that's supposed to be past pyre mourning over past marines death and the fins (or whatever they are) are the chains we see on past pyre in most lore vids.
In conclusion,
The carousel sisters are telling the tale of past Marine's and past Pyre's life and death.
Edit:Okay now i'm doing something else because of one of the replies.
So this next conclusion is that the white one represents Para and the black one is Mira.We don't know much about Para but we do know a lot of things about Mira.The evidence that they represent them is when they swirl in a circle and in the middle there is an orange and light blue circle, Para and Mira's signature colors.We seem to know from the Darkside meme that Para and Mira had some sort of fight centuries ago but we don't know why, and later Mira either kills or seals away Para.Near the ending part, like I said before, the black carousel horse is crying, Since she represents Mira, it seems that Mira misses her sister, or feels regret for what she has done.

Theory time: Carousel (the pink haired sister) died
I belive this because:
1. Lesuorac (the blue haired sister) is seen crying at the end and no more whit Carousel
2. At the second "backround rotation" (right before the crying scene) the backround is no more in 2 "segments" that represent the 2 sisters is only 1 that represents Lesuorac
3. At the crying scene we also see some fins that point at Lesuorac (which are probably blameing her)
