@@melissatucker7036 I was at this concert also. I wouldn't call it disappointing, per se. If you go in expecting Stephen to sound great, then yes, you'll be disappointed. But to be fair, he's never had a great voice, so I wasn't expecting that. Lol. And they played 26 songs, so you def got your money's worth on that front. What I found odd (maybe disappointing), was that he basically had zero interaction with the crowd. It was a "power thru as many songs as possible for a paycheck" kind of vibe. In the span of 26 songs, he basically addressed the crowd like twice. And the first time didn't come until probably like 15 songs in. It was def weird.
@@googleman4141 Had any of you seen them before? I saw this tour in Louisville a couple of weeks after you and I had a different take. This was my ninth show and technically one of the better. Stephen sounds better than he has in years because he is singing in his range and has the band covering the high parts. I mean listen to this phone video... He sounds like the record. He used to.... not. Also - this is "An Evening With" tour - those are designed to be really heavy on songs. And honestly, he is not great at stage banter. He ends up looking like an asshole when he talks a lot. I think he has gotten some specific guidance on both singing and stage presence. Just one superfan's opinion, but I'd say skip them next time if that wasn't for you.
He's not interacting with us in the crowd like he always has. The connection isn't there. It's......strange. I know a woman who swears by her own life that he can astro project himself......she may be crazy though. Lol.
