I guess we have the same one, my korean les paul is a killer too, and with all original parts. compared to a gibson standard the pickups are a bit runnier and it miss the gibson-like headstock, but... it maybe gives some charms. Cheers
Give the bloke a bit of credit for this review, hes a good talker, but as from the previous comments hes not such a good player and its doesn't help when the guitar are out of tune,...
To those who mention the tuner: They have never seen a crosseyed woman, who is sexy regardless?... Or another: my father could ride a bicycle with sitting on the handlebars . And he sat on it backwards. It's obviously not comfortable, but it can be and is interesting.
I just got a 99 plain top honey burst 59 Reissue Epi with the open book headstock... the thing rips! everything he said is accurate, though he forgot to mention that its also long tenon, the thing's a damn tank! the 3 on 3 headstock isnt known for being great for tuning stability, sounds like his is binding up pretty bad
Although the guitars were out of tune, I can notice that the sound of Japanese guitar is thicker and more defined, as Korean is “weak” and a bit inconsistent when you move across the fretboard.

You still have not tuned this guitar, like the Korean guitar before it’s just a horrible noise.I can recommend a good ear specialist but I think it would be wasted on you!! try the triangle you might have better luck with the tuning.
Its fake ive never seen an epiphone with that headstock in 98 or in my life thats someone at home custom job and i think epiphone made guitars are China and Korea....a 98 made in Japan..not sure ......and learn to tune man!!!

1998 is correct. In 1988 they produced Orvilles in the FujiGen factory, not Epiphones.
