can any one tell me why there are no character shadows in the stage 11:13 ,it looks like there is some shadows under ken but also looks broken ,while chin li has none
I realize something about the SF fight engine. It's still the same basic engine from Street Fighter II Turbo or even Alpha. I get all the visual enhancements and gameplay tweaks, but there is still one basic thing missing that other, lesser known fighters, were able to do. Realistic blocking. In SF, you hold back and your character will hunker into a defensive position and take the hits. Even in SF6, they do the EXACT same thing. They don't actually BLOCK the attacks. They just take the hits. Yet, games like Shaolin vs Wu-Tang, an independent, home-grown game, built in animation sequences that have the characters actually animate to BLOCK attacks. Which makes the fighting look so much more realistic. If you're going to keep the fighting on a LINEAR platform, meaning the characters cannot move 360 degrees into the background, you can afford some memory space to add in more animations and a bit more code that lets the character block attacks. I don't accept that the new defensive move you can do, blocks the attack, because it only blocks ONE attack and immediately allows a counter. In Shaolin vs Wu-Tang, your character can attack with a combo and the opponent can block each and every attack in that combo with a different defensive animation suitable to the attack used. I would have thought by now, we'd see that level of in-depth control.
