HANDS DOWNNNN my all time favorite videos of yours to watch!! SOO often other channels will post a 10-12min clip cubera fishing and make it seem like most other wreck fishing... relatively easy... when in reality.. especially where I charter up here in the gulf/st Pete area ... its not even remotely close to easy... straight grinddd!! But their are some times when everything comes together and you land one or two your first night out but I'm 33 years old, my family's been running they're charter business since before I was born.. and Its happened maybeeeee twice for me.. a handful of times for dad... that's it... EMBRACE THE GRIND... the end result is so satisfying!
Nick...love your fishing escapades...nice catch the Cuberra Snapper...when cooking that beast, try baking on the half shell on 400 on ur trader, will definitely be not moist...og da boss!
Greetings SIR..that tiger shark reminded me of the tiger we landed back in 75..sarasota..it is the one used the movie JAWS..yep..always glad to see you..prayers for you n beautiful family..Peace,love be within you..😎
Another fantastic video thanks Nick,,, good to see your dad enjoying the night with you too,,, im sure that 4 nights was a blast with everyone on board and the mission at hand,,, thanks for sharing 👍
That reminds me a lot of flathead catfish fishing in Oklahoma. The big ones always bite best between midnight and daybreak. Great video. Next time fry some for your dad😊
Another one of my favorites y'all. Thanks !! Don't cut the fish in half get a bigger grill. . If you had got that 15 lb snapper off that grill with those two spatulas you would have been a hero chef.
Great job man..❤❤❤really love ur stuff..I used to have a problem with you talking tooo fast till I realise it was me just listening tooo slowly😮😅😂😂THANKS FOR KEEPING IT REAL AND HUMBLE BRO...I CAN SEE DAD IS A HARD ONE TO PLEASE BUT I GUESS WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN LIKES AND DISLIKES😮😢😅😂🎉🎉BUT ATLEAST HE MADE UR 4 DAYS JUST BY TRYING IT OUT...❤❤❤❤
Your sound is great when your not facing the camera. But it's still echoing sometimes. Still love the videos. Keep it up! One day I will get down to the keys maybe even see you at Bud and Marry's.
Robert Tampa definitely use Pam or oil rub the grill fish won't stick call Michelle and that looks really good wish I can catch me a cabarra snapper it's on my bucket list
Hello cap have you ever tried magnets to repell sharks, I found out they really work, I use it on deep drop at the bahamas and had great success, good catch cap.
I did try them a couple years ago. Didn’t stop the sharks from eating the cuberas, but I think it was a full on frenzy and nothing would stop them. I need to try them again for when the sharks are not in a frenzy and see how effective they are, sounds like they worked for you
@StanzFam yes I got tired of loosing my rigging and fish to sharks in the bahamas and after making my own, the magnet comes out to $30 but mutch better then the Zeppelin is about $85 each, try it and see wen the sharks are not that active cap. Great video and I know it took alot to get that footage, navigate safe.
When the bite was good, we would take turns dropping one at a drift. If we hooked up, we would throw the boat in gear, heading for deeper water and off the wreck. It would minimize predation and getting wrecked. It was a game changer for us and upped our average.
you should tie a small line glowstick next to the lobster so it glows under water and stands out. it would make for a great comparison video which gets more bites
No body … when I say nobody I mean nobody knows how hard this fish is to catch. Took me over 20 bites before I caught my first one. Lost more than 30 to sharks…. I’ve only caught 8 my whole life on the wrecks. Extremely difficult extremely technical and super super adrenaline pumping drug addiction love that fishing it’s very challenging ❤
my buddy was killing the massive cuberas in belize about 4 years ago he a caught 110lb cubera. he didnt bother to send any of the test line lb test the measurements or weight into get the record if im not mistaken they were using 40-50 mono. small leader. all i can say that i know, he still wont give up the spot. he caught it fishing a cenote which is a a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting when a collapse of limestone bedrock exposes groundwater. this one was on the back side of the main island so it was 12-20feet all around the centone. I'm planning a on going out next week and he owes me so Im going to clear his debt with gps coordinates
Hey Nick, I hope you all are ok after that hurricane Helene,,,, haven't seen much on main stream media here, but the bits and pieces ive seen on the utube seems it was a huge problem from the carolinas down into florida,,,, thinking of you all at this time
34:15 -- LOL! The guy at the end grabbing the whole head and collar knows what's up 😂 That would totally be me. Nick: the $4000 snapper cooked up great! Don't let these picky gringos get you down... they are addicted to McDonald's nuggies and don't know true food when they see it 🎣
I think it was this hooded one, I know it was 4 different days of fishing Thank you! stanzfishing.com/products/stanz-left-chestlogo-performance-cationic-long-sleeve-hooded-raglan
The big one we want to catch I don’t think will have any problem eating the whole lobster with a pair of 10/0’s, but I believe the trebles would be good on the smaller fish that rip the lobster apart
Next time try this put onions, lemon grass, soy sauce, olive oil, tomatoes, spring onion, black pepper, bay leaves and rosemary. mix in the bowl and put inside the belly.
You know I was just kind of curious. Did that one fish cost about $2000? That must really be some good fish. But it’s all on a good day of fishing getting out being with friends.😊
Definitely Cost more than that when you figure in the cost of the boat, insurance, maintenance, gas, tackle, broken rod, buying and catching lobster etc…. Definitely wasn’t a cheap fish to catch , but glad we finally got one Always nice to fish with some friends as well
@@StanzFam you know I live in the desert and all of our lakes out here going dry. I respect and appreciate your videos so much especially watching your kids grow up. Keep your eye on them because before you know it they’re going to be graduate in high school and get married.
Robert Tampa play curious on how much money you spent trying to catch this cabarrus snapper I just would have ate all them lobsters I know you do get one which is nice eat the lobster must be nice living in the keys good luck to you just subscribe😅 Ha
I must hook bottom more than you guys, when ever you do, just wrap the braid around the cleat and let the motor break it. MOST of the time, it breaks down low and not around the cleat.
charlie is hilarious and a great cook, an absolute grand asset for the channel
🙌🏻
Out on the Reef brought me here. Great stuff! The algorithm works in my favor sometimes.
Awesome! Welcome to the channel! Out on the Reef was super nice when we met him in the Bahamas

Tigers are cool to see for sure. Thanks for watching

that fish cost a lot of money nic..song good fish looked great..stay safe an keep sending these vids..
We put some time, money, and effort in! Glad we finally got the one
Cubera snapper fishing looks tough, but I'd love to try it. I'm guessing by the gear, it's the hardest pulling snapper out there.
It’s a challenge for sure! Especially if you hook a big one. Sharks are a nuisance too
That’s my spatchula!!
Was* your spatula
The fish Lock so yummy I would love to try it brother that a bigger fish

i hooked a giant one in panama on a live bonito strongest fish i have ever fought and i have landed marlin and tuna.

Capt. Nick, maybe try the electric reels next time, good video.
We may one day, trying to catch a big one on hand crank though

Damn I thought the Tiger King was out!!

i think 2 mics are picking up sound on the intro cause i can hear an echo but when nick turned around it stopped
I think we got it figured out now, had some issues with the new equipment earlier this summer 🙏🏻

We were fortunate and just had some of the far outside bands from Helene. Hopefully that areas that got hit hard recover in a timely manner

Go HONDURAS! I live in Honduras

Great video that is the most expensive fish in Florida lol
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Expensive fish for sure

awesome video, i could of watched for hours!!!! can you catch that snapper on Spinning gear? like a 14K Stella? just curious, cuz I have 1.
If the sharks aren’t bad you definitely can!
@StanzFam awesome!! good to know. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks Nick!! 🎣👍
Have you thought about maybe getting a pizza paddle to help get the whole fish off the grill?
That’s a good idea!
I don’t do a ton of whole fish but this one was bigger and a little harder than usual
Send me a link for the t-shirt that you were wearing on this video. I want to purchase one! Thanks
I think it was this hooded one, I know it was 4 different days of fishing

Cuberra I’ve caught those! They are special you shouldn’t kill them!
We only keep a few here and there. Released a lot more than we’ve kept the past couple years
Nick big fan! What’s going on with the reverb with the sound when you are talking?
We got some new equipment and Landon said the wrong wire was the main problem. I think we have it resolved now
@@StanzFam way to go Landon! 🤣
How about a cabera on the Nick stick?

Sara ready for my storm video hint hint
In the future, use a pizza spatula to remove the fish off the grill.
Someone else said that too, will know for next time. Thanks 👍🏻
Leave the sound of the reel on😂
🤣🙌🏻
Greetings Nick. Is Jamaican Mike still around?
Yep, he came by and ate some food. Hoping to film something together soon
When catching lobster for bait do they have to be legal size?
Yes
Man I couldn’t bring myself to use those lobster as bait.
You’re not alone, people keep telling me the same thing 🤷🏻♂️🦞
Long time me no see Jamaica Mike me was going to ask about him an me change my mind dem me here u call him name
🙌🏻
@stanzfam it's still double sound. Just ditch those put on shirt mics and use a better mic on the camera...
I think we finally got it straightened out
Do you have the nick stick aviavle
Not yet. I have 500 on order and should have them late November or early December. They will be on the website when they come in
The shark problem is getting serious time to open commercial fishing on them for few years jump the quotas
Definitely a lot of them nowadays

How much does a snapper like that way
This one was 17.5 lbs
Nothing like trying to drag a 50 lb fish up “fast” lol. Brutal

Wowww you guys actually worked for it n not use electric reels 😂😂😂
