    This channel talks of war like its a game, 99% of these folk have never seen young men suffering, crying for their mothers, being dismembered, the look in their eyes as they are about to pass on, shame on you people, go to a front line and see the misery , that is most probably the only way to make warhawks change their narative, mankind needs to push for peace, the arms corps and their shareholders will always push for more suffering ❤❤❤

    • @FactCheckerGuy
      @FactCheckerGuy 14 дней назад +1

      "Mankind" didn't cause this war. The only "warhawk" is Putin. When Putin withdraws his troops from his neighbor, there will be peace.

    Growing up after WW2 I was raised in the spirit that we Europeans wanted to avoid the disasters of world wars. As a child I experienced a peaceful Europe only interrupted by supersonic booms and low terrain fighter aircrafts in the skies. Getting older the plans flew higher, the low terrain areas got smaller and smaller and soon disappeared into memory. Peace at last, nope Europe. Lived in the ceasefire of WW2 which had not ended, (aka the Cold War) was hyper militarized … but no guns wren sounding.
    I remember stories of the Korean War, happening in a far distance. Vietnam war was in a far distance but I felt not threaten. Yes I meet refugees from Vietnam. (We called them boat people) as if this anyhow more palatable. I never thought war was possible in Europe and for this article I make it short to the point the Balian war shook me up. We were still in a post WW2 area and scores had not been settled. … but what I forgot to realize we were never at peace. We had been always at war.
    My point is we are in a period of endless war. We might not realize it but the days are numbered when we have no active war going on. Only wars I cease fire - are peaceful (high tension) but peaceful. Defined as the absence of killing.
    The number of risings of people from the 17th of June, Prague, Budapest… Europe is a hot bed and this war in Ukraine is the war to determine if Europe is fighting in the future in the parliament in Brussels or if we keep fighting in the trenches or at the battlefields.
    Please understand that drone wars will become a plague. We will give low cost weapons into the hand of irresponsible actors and we will fight for our lives against drones. At their is nothing funny about facing a killer drone.

      It appears that along with some incompetence from the local commanders, the Ukrainians fortified the area further back from the border. The reasoning seems to be that fortifying on the border put heavy machinery and new fortifications at risk of being hit by artillery while being constructed.
      You can see this both on Google Maps satellite view where it clearly shows trenches further back but you can also see it in the battle updates. Currently, Russians attacking from the north are bottled up and they have even lost some territory they have taken.
      There are many good reasons why putting fortifications right on the border is not wise.

    There was a good interview on Ukraine the Latest podcast by the Telegraph. It was a Ukrainian soldier explaining the difference between NATO and Soviet doctrine. NATO has fundamentally offensive military doctrine, where all actions are based on the disposition of the enemy.
    Soviet doctrine is fundamentally defensive, where troops dig in along the line of contact with and send recon to test along the line for weakspots. Massing troops or armour is a liabilty due to artillery, FPV drones and cluster munitions.
    Ukraine is trying to develop a hybrid doctrine, because its clear the NATO tactics were an abysmal failure in the Robotine Counter-Offensive. For a war of attrition, like this has become, seems the Soviet Doctrine is much more effective.

    Russia wants to force Ukraine to redirect forces to Kharkiv, if they do and the advance there stops, they will have succeeded in thinning out Ukraine's troops elsewhere. If Ukraine doesn't send enough troops, Russia will advance further in Kharkiv. Ukraine does not have the manpower to defend the entire front.

    Ukraine seems to be taking this opportunity to regain some land in the south. They seem to have liberated one of the larger Islands on the Dnieper River closer to Crimea. Forgive me for thinking that Ukraine should bottle up the Russians in the north and shift lots of those incoming resources to regain areas around Crimea. If Ukraine can make Putin sweat over the prospect of losing any part of Crimea, you are going to see Russia redeploy forces away from the north and east.

    Looks like the buffer zone in ISW assessment. Conveniently brings Kharkiv into tube artillery range and draws in more Ukrainian reserves. Early reports indicate Russians have destroyed several bridges that would be critical to an further advance into Kharkiv province. No reason to do that unless they were planning to defend a buffer zone or against a physical counter attack.
