Thankfully I’ve been able use to the storage container although refiners are still bugged for me. I have to say too that this whole event renewed my love for the game and having to travel by mount has made me really appreciate and get excited about exploring. I find with the vehicles and travelling by ship you sometimes miss a lot or atleast on Xbox, things don’t load in as fast as you travel but travelling by mount I always get excited when I find a POI or find a lot of cool vistas.
Just wanted to help on a few points with networking, base sharing, and your "treasure chest" concept. 1) Group & friends means they must be both in your group and on your friends list for access. It is AND, not OR. 2) Your treasure chest will give visiting players access to THEIR storage container by the same number, not YOUR chest. So if your storage 1 is renamed to treasure chest, visitors will see only their own storage 1. 3) if you are offline, no one can access your refiners or edit your base, regardless of your settings. You must be online and all the others in order to interact with base parts and all the rest. If you're offline, all your stuff is safe and cannot be interacted with. Any questions lmk!
Hi Cap, this is such a fun idea, looking forward to it. Can I just check 2 things. The description says to play in creative mode and swap into Survival mode and PVP in certain scenarios. Is this correct? If so, why are you resource gathering? Also, I thought I saw you fetch the maps in your ship before you landed on the planet but today you said you have to do it via the teleporter hub? Cheers!
PVP and Survival Mode when your away from the faction... when your on a quest... or heading to the hub... I will go live Monday night and play it out for real.
Apologies if this is old news, but when starting with low (or out of) carbon it is possible to just hit stuff to gather resources, including carbon, without needing to fire the mining laser.
Regarding dropping items in refiners, I tried when you had the 3 portable ones out and get an error “already in use” response. On PS5, happens with every refiner and stellar collector on npc freighters too.
It appears that Sean of the Murrays doesn't want me to be involved as, yet again on a community event, only a handful of bases are marked and spawn and I've tried every trick I know.
Couple of questions: am assuming that the advanced mining laser is a no-no, is this correct? Am assuming, though, that destroying sentinels and opening any glass they drop for upgrades is fine?
AS far as i know when someone uses your storage container it will only show what is in their storage not what is in yours. Unless they change it in the future?.
Vaults are a personal thing, they only show your stuff, even if they are built by somebody else, you cannot exchange stuff with them

Yh, melee attacking stuff will damage it the same way as mining laser will. Just not as quick
2 questions. 1. Is the advance mining laser allowed? 2. How would i get to the central hub as quickly as possible
Ride a pet/mount to the center...
Advanced mining laser only if you find MT with it installed already.

Yeah... features of Hello Games... seems to only work when I am online despite the settings.

If you find a multitool with one in... its fine...
