I can't express how much I appreciate dinding your channel. I'm 48 years old and 50+lbs overweight. I started running two months ago and its going phenomenally well. But I've really needed words like yours. It's hard watching fitness motivation and tips from people that you _know_ have never struggles with their weight, who have always been fit in some sport or other. Yeah, sure, _they_ can do it but that doesn't necessarily translate to me being able to do it. Your journey though I can completely relate to. You are honest about the struggles, that it doesn't get "easier" even if it does get more doable. Thank you so much for your vulnerability and spirit.
Dear Lucy, you are almost as excited by your new watch as you were when you got your new shoes! You said you are not a 'girly type girl', but believe me, you are! (witness: ''black sort of goes with everything, doesn't it!'').I love your videos, which are always encouraging and inspirational.
Got the Garmin Forerunner 55 in white and I love it. It’s like the Mama Bear of running watches: not too big, not too small, it’s just right! It has all I need and not a bunch of extras I’d never use. Enjoy yours!
I’ve been running consistently for almost a year and decided to invest in a watch. Looking at the FR55 since it’s more affordable. I love it in white! Does it get dirty and is it hard to clean?
Starting my running journey too! Lovely to find your channel that we are not alone! Got my forerunner 55 this week 🥳 I had the forerunner 45! I’m trying the garmin coach 😉 Keep it up! ❤️❤️
I have a Garmin Fenix 6S, great little watch. I use it for cycling, running and set on 'hike' for walking. It has a solar capacity but that only slows down the battery drain, still very impressive 😊
My husband has that one 😀 He decided on that one because of the solar power as he needed the battery to last a 100 mile ultra run. It lasted! 🙌🏼 I think they look nice too 😊
Nice to see a “normal” review and from a woman. I’m 65 and thinking of replacing my Fitbit Versa Lite. I want a watch with GPS to track my bike rides and this seems to fit the bill without being ridiculously expensive. Good to see it will also track my yoga and Pilates workouts. Thank you for an honest review
im new here and new in running! So excited to watch you content and being inspired. Can you run with music without your phone? like does it allow to store/download playlists on watch?
I have the Forerunner 245 and I've been using the Garmin Coach to train for my 10k. It's kind of fun and keeps things interesting. Grats on the new watch!
I have the Garmin Venu, which is more of an all purpose exercise watch. I have it tracking steps, stairs climbed, and my weekly exercise duration goal. I run/walk timed intervals and I swear, every time I look at my watch to check my interval time, it's busy congratulating me on my step goal or something. 😂 it's funny/annoying. Sometimes I feel like just using my old Timex because all I really need is a chronometer but I do like having the heart rate monitor, GPS, etc.
I COULDN'T CLICK FAST ENOUGH...I LOVE NEW RUNNING gear 😍 ❤️!! I started out with Garmin watchs, I absolutely loved them, but my family gifted me a fancy smancy Samsung watch, they expect me to use for my runs. I hate this Samsung watch sO much, I cant wait to switch back to a Garmin watch.
Lucy, im like you I want fast gps and my running stats, the Samsung does stuff I simply don't care for; I'll give it 3-4 more months; however I had to seriously stop myself from looking to purchase that Garmin when you mentioned the price came down😄😄.
how you set to hear the audio prompts in your earbuds connected to the phone? i like to hear the distance and the pace, but i dont know how to set it up.. helppp
Hey Lucy.. just started watching you.. what an inspiration.. what does your food menu look like for you now..just curious. Or where you are running so much do you just maintain making sure you eat enough. Keep it up 🇨🇦🙂❤️
Hey 😀 My diet depends on what I want to achieve (weight wise). When I was losing weight I used running as an aid to my weight loss, help me get in a deficit easier. Now I’m currently maintaining and I’m not able to get out and run as much so I count my calories as much as I can 🙂 Thank you so much 😃❤️
Hi Lucy, a new subscriber 🎉 just wondered, when you got in from your run, you mentioned having to walk your dog. Have you ever looked into Canicross? You might love it, because you can walk him and do your run at the same time. And because your dog is on a belt around your hips its comfortable when they pull. Just a thought anyway it might save you some time and something new to try xx
Hi! Thank you for subscribing 😀 I do take Storm out for runs with me just not every run because he has been running with my husband since he was a pup. My husband is a very fast runner so Storm always pushes me to run faster and I struggle to keep the quick pace 😂 Once my husband is back from working away he will take over the dogs exercise so I don’t have to walk him after my runs 🙌🏼 Maybe I’ll film a run with me and Storm 🏃🏻♀️ xx
I had FR45 and recently upgraded to 255. Any reason why did not you go with FR255 and went with FR55 (Except for budget constraints)??? But I run with my Apple Watch SE anyway. I want phone free run and AW has cellular option. If FR55 works for you, that’s what is important anyway. Have fun with FR55 :) Great video again.
I went for the 55 because it has absolutely everything I need for my training. It wouldn’t have been an upgrade for me because the 55 is perfect 😀 I started running with an Apple Watch. Thanks so much! 🙌🏼
I am another who chose the 55 over the 255S (and 265S). The 55 does all I need and want, and then some. 255/265 is overkill for me. I do prefer the the multi-band GPS the other models have, but where I am and what I do its not going to make any difference to me. And, I do carry my phone with me (plus keys) in a perfectly designed waist pouch, it doesn't move or bounce around, and forget its actually there.

I love that, it really is the Mama Bear of running watches 😀 Thanks!

Our stories are so similar. I’m down 21lbs from similar starting weight as you and it all started with running. Delighted I found your channel!!
That’s awesome, well done! 🙌🏼 Oh thanks 😀

Been shopping for a new watch....really love yours. Another great video! Thanks for all the inspiration !!

Heyyy, I have the same watch! Enjoying it a lot! 💙🏃🏻♀️💨
It’s great isn’t it 🙌🏼😀 I’m loving it 🏃🏻♀️
Hi! Do you use the Garmin for running only? Do you use an apple watch?

Is this watch difficult to understand?
А у вас кнопка "start" нажимается с щелчком?

@@lucyshawvlogs I agree with this. I choose the because 55 it's all I need and want.

Have you attempted David Goggins 4X4X48?
I’ve not attempted it but I definitely want to do it! 🙌🏼😀
Can you download music on this watch, leave the phone at home and use watch and headset.
